I would love to see somebody make a video on Jimi Hendrix. The song is called Captain coconut. It’s off of the album called crash Landing. The album was originally put out in 1970 I believe. But it was pulled off the market because it’s theme of the album was UFOs or aliens. So the US government pulled it off the market and nobody remembers the album but you can find it On the Internet. But I would like to see someone actually play the song. The song is called Captain coconut. It’s about UFOs it’s instrumental. It also has a great song called stone free. It is a great album but people need to bring this album out into the public. The government doesn’t have a right to tell us that we can’t listen to this album because of the Content. I own the album. I bought it back when it first came out.
Good to see younger generations being taught Hendrix techniques. RUclips unfortunately blocks a lot of content that is why Queen is still kind on streaming services while Hendrix is slowly disappearing. We need people like you to expose especially beginners to his music. People often talk about his lead playing when in fact his rhythm playing was the much more influential.
Wow! I wish I would have grown up w/ you. I was a lone teen trying and playing odd things like Hendrix chords. Nobody understood because it wasn't as fluent as you. Thank you! Great stuff!
Awesome. I'd still like to see your approach to how he interweaves chords and lead lines in so much of his playing. You do such a good job with getting the timing of the embellishments down and that to me is the hardest part.

15 years old, Hendrix gets his first guitar. 21 yo, discharged from the Army, plays guitar for Isley Brothers and Little Richard (has only been playing for SIX YEARS). 24 years old. Top of the UK charts for 'Hey Joe', 'Purple Haze', 'The Wind Cries Mary' (Only playing for 9 years). 27 year old, dead. (Only playing for 12 years)

You are a wonderful guitar teacher. Jimi became a pop culture hero but not many revered the beauty of his guitar work like you do. This lesson is for people wanting intermediate guitar skills. Might be good to let students know how to break up the lesson into a weekly endeavor....it is too easy for students to feel overwhelmed and return to rudimentary playing. And, aren't you glad that Jimi spent those couple/few years with the Isley Brothers?
Ayla,i used to be an JH imitator on 90s,but i was a teen and i didnt know nothing abou Univibe...and i used to Imitate Jimi s Solos "Sliding"the String inside de solo"Harmonic field"sorry about my english....
Hey Eyla, you're wonderfull! I'm a beginner intermediat but It gives me Hope to play some Jimmy chords . Please give us more about Jimmy style. Un bonjour de la France.😘
She's good. Lot of good info. 😊. I myself am not a fan of using my thumb on 6th string. It's uncomfortable 😣. I know a lot of guitar players do. Whatever floats your boat it's all good 👏✌️🎸🎸
Hey Ayla: Which came first for you -- your love of Jimi or your knowledge of music theory? Can you tell us a little about your training? I've always loved Jimi Hendrix, but I don't have the musical knowledge to understand his music.
For these major Hendrix chords, I can't get that high E fretted, when i do it kinda mutes the G & B strings, do i really need the high E ringing though
Ayla, on the tone it looks like neck pickup, maybe 8-10 on tone and volume, some delay, and a little extra than normal on reverb. Was there anything else to get that tone?
Awesome Job thanks keep it rolling. I think a good add on to this video is to kindly share and breakdown the guitar effects used in the tutorial. even a screenshot of the Amp and effects will do the trick cheers
The fact you appreciate Jimi shows me how super cool you are! Pali Gap is such a fantastic tune, I have noticed your War Heroes album in another lesson, such a great album. Love your lessons!
H-before.Learned in 1990.AbcdefgH A-before.G.You have the famous C on 8.fret on bass E-string.And E-chord 7 fret A string and 9.fret D and G-string,rest open strings.Play regual E-tuning,1.scale,you have the 3.scale on 7.fret.Assemble many chords with fantastic 1,2,3 string solo. You get much bass downward, and much treble forward additional to to extra treble boost.SOUND more natural by C,totally insane at E.For untrained ears.
This is cool but no one can play chords like jimi except Jimi. Maybe if she played her strat upside down with the strings upside down as well...and was Jimi

Holy cow, she is good! Learned more in two videos with her, than in 20 other videos before …
My thought exactly. Brilliant teacher. Calm, clear and no showboating.
Very soulful sounding chords. Jimi Hendrix was a genius.
The 101st Airborne scored JImi as a “Genius Savant! On his IQ/Aptitude test. An elevated mind

She is so sweet. Teaching anything can become very frustrating but she makes it looks like your learning in a dream.

I like how you said it adds colors Jimi actually said the same thing about different chords being different colors

How she plays that major chord is beyond me. I'm a male with hands (probably) larger and can't get there in any way...
I always look forward to your videos. :)

Looks like the S1 button is pushed on volume knob. All 3 pickups in series. I have and love my Fender Deluxe Stratocaster.

Awesome.
but you can also use the pinky with a full barree?
Yes! You just need to be careful that the D string will not work in some cases once you take your pinky off.
One of my favorites is Castles Made of Sand by J. Hendrix.
love the intro😂
you make Jimi Hendrix sound better than Jimi Hendrix
WUT! (mindblown)
I would have put a little more reverb
