I really enjoy how they double down on just being as absolutely heavy and unforgiving as possible. They were definitely heavy pre-Abyssal but I feel like they've gone further down that path ever since.
For me, Detestor was the heaviest feeling album. I think they developed a different style of heaviness over time, though. Abyssal and Earthless are their most brutal releases, but Detestor just had this sheer gravity I haven't found anywhere else.
Each album had a totally different vibe imo. Self titled is still the best to me, but goddamn if they don't kill it every fuckin time.
I feel like starting out, HLB was heavy in the sense of just pure instrumentals, but now what qualifies as "heavy" for them is very reliant on the atmosphere they create in each song, and I absolutely love it.
Buster Odeholm is the gift that just keeps on giving. Thank you for your service.

The last time I almost died from laced drugs, it wasn't fent.
It was clonazolam. Had been put into some VERY convincing-looking, blue "B707" bars. Took opioids on top of it (as per usual), except this time I woke up having almost drowned in vomit and with a paralyzed hand.

I had a terrible panic attack and horrible trip on acid alone not so long ago i literaly thought i died and i was in purgatory or something, this song describes it perfectly what it feelt like, the high piched guitars is like the screm of pure terror and fear i feelt during the trip, drugs are not a joke, you have to be very carefull with them
So I realised we are not getting the new Vildhjarta album because of this band.
Was and still is ahead of the game.

That was gross... and I absolutely love it. You set a terrifying atmosphere in this one, with those complex rhythms layered with leads or chords on top, then it led into that last riff and it hit like a freight train. You guys are something else, truly one of the most interesting bands out there!

I love this band
I never listened to a single on repeat so many times in my life. I mostly listen to different subgenres of death and prog metal everyday and this band just destroys everything else out there with each release. It's rare to find a sound this captivating and inspiring. Listening to this track is like the first time I heard Meshuggah's Catch 33 but x10. The rhythms are overwhelmingly hypnotic and mesmerizing, Buster's songwriting and production is just fucking unbelievable. I can literally feel the weight... this brings a whole new meaning to the word "heavy" both sonically and visually - excellent cinematography too btw!
Just pure fucking goosebumps man. This is the evolution of metal right here.

Come to find out it’s cus the guitarist plays a right handed guitar upside down since he’s a lefty. That’s so crazy lol makes me want to chug backwards. He’s essentially hitting the high notes in a chord first when chugging like that
