You don't even need to remove the blue HDD tray to remove the cage. The whole cage comes out as a single assembly and each component (HDD, ODD) can be installed or removed independently of each other. Well thought out set up.
why on Earth would you put a Sata m.2 capped at 600mbs, i just added a NVME to my 5050 dell, and getting 3500 mps speed on crystaldiskmark, i came with sata in 2017 but bios update now adds supports NVME.
Hi. Is there a specific type (or version) of NVMe SSD that’s compatible with the Dell 5050? I’m just afraid that if I buy the latest model, the computer can’t read it. Thank you very much in advance.
not to worry, even if you buy gen 4, your PC will still read it, just it will cap its speed to its capacity. i recently installed gen 3 NVME in optiplex 5050 and it works great just keep temperature in control , buy NVME heatsink and front Fan just to be on safe side.@@Ujotify
I already have an Optiplex 5050 and i wanna put the "SAMSUNG 990 EVO SSD 1TB" or the "Crucial P3 Plus 1TB" M.2 as a principal storage. Is this a good idea in this pre built? Can this pc admit one of this two M.2?
Whats the main advice or procedure (in general) to install sata SSD's into Dell servers that accept only SAS 3.5" drives? It's a poweredge 410. Thanks.

02:56 - Disassembly of the Case
07:45 - Re-assembly of the Case
youve got to admire the engineering that goes in to these cases.
Thank you very much for this. It was very helpful and I appreciate that you showed an overview and then got into the details.

Thank you. You are an excellent instructor.
Is this process the same for the mid tower 5050?
Great video, is there any way to add another fan to go in the area by the source to put, above the sound horn?

Is it possible to install a m2 ssd in dell optiplex 5040 with windows 10 on it to be a bootable c drive? thanks.
Can you install both 3.5" HDD and 2.5" SSD on this thing? If so, where is the power port for the 2nd disk?
Yes, you can install the m.2 SSD with an additional sata HDD or another SATA 2.5" SSD. The power is the splitter with the DVD drive
Is hard to do assemble the case
I'm trying to fix it, because it has a flashing orange light, and not booting either
Thank you dude
Where can I get that blue thing. My case is missing that as it came without a m2 but with a HDD
were you able to get the blue mount? mine is missing it as well
