As I've traveled around the Philippines for the past year, I have found both underrated and overrated Filipino islands. In my opinion, Siquijor is a very underrated Filipino island! The Philippines has 7,641 islands, many of which are incredibly beautiful, however, there's more to a Filipino island than just beauty. Siquijor island has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that is super comforting. Thank you for watching!

Been to Sequijor too earlier this year and it was great! Not as busy with tourists as some of the other islands, which was cool. Really liked that place. Missing the Philippines now, will be back soon 🙏

Been to San Juan Siquijor 3 weeks ago. It was the best place for my kids they don't wanna leave the island when we are about to head back to Dumaguete. We are back now in Canada and will definitely go back there on our next vacation.😊

One of the reasons why Siquijor is not so popular among the locals is the stigma that the place is allegedly inhabited by witches who could put a spell on you. A lot of people believed that folklore but as you can see, it is a beautiful and enchanting island. I agree, Siquijor is indeed underrated!

The rain cleanses the air - the more I watch your videos the more I wanted to go home to Laguna Phil famous for Agricultural University and hot springs. We left 1962 and never been back since now @ 77 yo and the more I watch your videos the more I need to go. Thank you so much for your videos. ❤👍😊
Hey, do you plan on visiting the north of the Philippines? Like the mountains & rice terraces & such.
The Philippines is known for it's islands & beaches, but it's also got some beautiful mountains. It's a very underrated part of the country.
I have to tell you a funny story about "magandang hapon" (good afternoon). My brother married a Filipina and I've had Filipino friends for most of my life so I speak a little Tagalog.
I used to work in California in a company that employed about 70% Filipinos. I went up to some Filipinas one afternoon and said "magandang hapon" with the accent on the second syllable. They giggled at me and I said "What did I say wrong"? They said it's pronounced "magandang hapon" with the accent on the first syllable. The way I said "Hapon" with the accent on the second syllable means "Japan" so I said "Good Japan" to them.
So every time after that I make sure to say "magandang ha'pon".
Hapon in Filipino means Japanese or people of Japan, and 'maganda' if used in greetings means good, otherwise it would mean beautiful. So using your accent, 'magandang hapon' actually means beautiful or pretty Japanese 😅

it's a super chill island! Parts of Bohol can have traffic and tourism, but Siquijor doesn't really have that. I love Siquijor!

Me and my wife arrived in Siquijor two days ago. Our third time… We stay at lala-o, Elnora del mar hotel, which is maybe 5 minutes from Paliton beach going south. Would be nice to meet for a chat. We love your channel!
Maybe the best island in the Phillipines after Palawan. Super friendly people l! Not overcrowded by tourists. You can have piece or party like an animal. choice is upto you. One of the best restaurants in Philippines. Weather is usually good. You have beautiful beaches ( Paliton, Candanay sur, salgdoong , water falls. Just an amazing place to live a life!

Bro, I think the owner of the shop was kinda shy talking to foreigners for some reason. Her, having no response when you were asking permission to hang there for a while til the rain stops doesn't mean that you are not allowed to stay.

You needed to go to the next main turnoff. That is where u will find the beach u are looking for
It used to be the voodoo witchcraft island. They still have a few of those so called healers on the island. Man made beach maybe also exempted.
