This is where we learn Piper's power, to that of her whole family, has nothing to do with time but molecules. Temporal Statis and Molecular Immobilization r very similar to eachother, but different in nature. Fans were confused as how could time make things explode. Just like irl, ppl in the 1600's and further back didn't know about molecules and assumed it was all the same. MI gives the optical illusion of TS. Molecular Combustion speeds them up to go boom, whereas mi slows them down to stop. In the comics Piper gained a 3rd power of Molecular Acceleration, to speed them up at a different paste to either melt, ignite 🔥, or boil. Then for a temporary time gain her 4th and finale power, but lost it until it comes naturally to her. Molecular Reversion; the ability to shift molecules back into their previous order and state. Like undoing transformation (eg. Cole turned Darrel into a water fountain in 5x01), or cancel shapeshifting to reveal their true form.
The progression of Piper's powers is honestly one of my fave things! I do think it made it a bit too easy later on but watching this happen in real time was so so exciting! Piper is my favourite! ❤️❤️❤️
Cole should’ve known they would check after him to see whether or not he killed her he should’ve shimmered her to the manor where they wouldn’t come looking for her and threw a energy ball to the ground to fake her death.
Yeah that sucked. She just got robbed by a demon. She didn't call for help? Leave? She just crouched there the entire time? He didn't THINK to shimmer her ANYWHERE else?

Amen to that
It's a pity that those two; Molecular Acceleration and Reversal never appeared in the series.

"I've been sworn to protect it." Welp. She sure failed miserably at it.
