What's crazy about this video is that people have tried and failed to get this right and this this is the first time that I've heard it pretty much done perfectly. After all these years. Almost. Twenty. Years.
Edit: Shoutout to FamilyJules, He too nailed this cover with 2 guitars and I didn't notice. He had the same sentiment: many did it as 1 but he decided to keep the chords and overtones true to the original with 2.

this is exactly what I said to myself. Both parts played at the same time together. Until this I only ever heard it played by 1 person. I loved the track in FF, but this is special.

Final Fantasy X is one of, if not, my favorite game of all time. I use this game whenever I go into a mild depression and this is one of the songs that I always hum to myself. Thank you guys for posting this

Omg, this game made me escaped and even thought Spira is my world! One of the hardest games in ps2(including all Celestial weapons, Summons, Dark aeons and penance) that I completed 100% few times.
The only game i have played more than 3 time!
I can confidently say it IS my favorite game of all time!

My heart always jumps out of my chest when I see amazing covers from FFX. The game SHAPED who I am as a person and the music is, and always has been a huge part of my life. ("To Zanarkand" was well-above my skill level as a pianist at the time and I legit FORCED myself to learn it)

I remember 10 year old me being really bummed out when I learned that Nobuo Uematsu wouldn't be the composer for this upcoming game, but this soundtrack turned out so wonderfully.
Mongo Lloyd What would you put above it? Obviously music is quite subjective, but after playing something like 500 distinct video games, this soundtrack is still my favorite. I often look for games with good soundtracks, so a list of your best picks would be appreciated

@@jacobteague635 Spent the last few hours re-listening to FFVII soundtrack. Just played the game again like 2 weeks ago. I think FFVII music is up there with the best soundtracks. I really think it is the best at inducing anxiety, dread, confusion. Those feelings work with the game. The music almost always has a reverb that seems almost like a tremble, like it is hesitant. Two or even five channel music is utilized perfectly to ping, pong, and twinkle on alternating sides to keep you feelings like there are things going on all around you. A lot of music has the typical drawl of mystery themed music. Those are all great. However, if you want other feelings, I feel like it falls short. The music sounds so synthesized, which again, works with the themes of the game. But it leaves me feeling like the music is contrived. SO many of the songs sound too similar. Solitary high pitch twinkly and reverberating "instrument" leading a typical drum beat.
I really like Mako Reactor, even after being there 10 times, Hurry!, Shinra Company, The Don of the Slums is fun, Crazy Motorcycle is cool, Chase the man with the black mantle, It's Hard to Stand on both feet, The one chosen by the planet, Wuatai, Temple in the sea of trees, Shinra Full Scale Attack, If you open your heart.
I loved Canyon of Falling Stars, The Great Warrior, The Great North Cave, One Winged Angel.
I still get more out of FFX soundtrack, personally.

I don't think it was an accident that the people who felt the vibe of this game attract the bees because we vibe hard and we feel that deep deep and we love hard and we understand and see the actual world for what it is. Certain shit just sticks out like you just know it's something special about it. Its usually is people pets loved ones. Ff10 is like family.
Dude, I bought this game as a kid thinking it was Kingdom Hearts. Upon discovering that it wasn't what I wanted I cried and cried but my father refused to return the game. I decided to get into it because, y'know, why not? I was stuck with this game so might as well mae the most of it. 3000 hours later and my 11 year old heart and mind were completely absorbed. I think this might still be the best story I ever had the chance of being a part of. Stunning game. Breathtaking soundtrack. Every time I hear music from this game it brings a tear to my eye. Bravo. Well played.

Replaying this in 2020 and its still stands up. The art and interiors are simply stunning, the dialogue is still clunky, and the music still moving. Thanks guys!

I swear. FF soundtracks can send you to a place of absolute comfort, in a time where the world seems a bit crazy. It's almost as if the composers have captured a slice of sunlight after the rain, whilst hanging out in a coffee shop.

First thing I notice from this video, "Man these guys are old". Then I remembered when FFX came out, reflected on FFX fanbase and my own age. Shit were getting old.
Well... Im still 19 and love that game. So i dont think the fanbase is that old. I also love FF7 and 9. But im someone who loves all that older games because i grew up with my parents playing it xD. Kingdom Hearts (especially 2) and Dragonquest were also awesome game series. Love them.

Such an emotive performance that masterfully bestows the melody in such an elegant sounding manner on the guitars. As a guitarist, I really like those guitar fills of harmonics while skillfully keeping the tempo and playing accents which makes this performance so alluring. Amazing and inspirational!

@tigeroscarfan Sight of Spira, or Spira Unplugged, plays in Besaid Village and Kilika Village, so your memory of it is really close. On the ship Movement in Green is played. You should definitely play it again on all the different platforms the HD Remaster is on now, it'll be a real nostalgic trip (´∀｀)

the part at 2:02 is my favourite part of the song, most of the song is very relaxing and beautiful but that one part gives off a feeling of uneasy-ness and that small bit of contrast between that and the rest of the piece makes it more interesting.
I was listening to another cover of this song and while it was amazing, it did not include that part which kinda disappointed me but you guys did an excellent job! 👍
