To me, it just shows she didn't love Derek (at the time), but just wanted to be married - first to ask, gets the bride. Or in this case, not - until later.
I like Mavis very much. Of course shes extra and it takes time to listen to her, but she has become a more rounded out character, largely due to Rita's positive influence. Thanks for these episodes.❤❤
How does Derek have such an assertive sister as Edith? They must’ve had the same parents-so how’s she so assertive when Derek isn’t? Tbh, she’d be more believable as Victor’s sister!
Quite simple really, she took after their mother, who was domineering and treated her daughter without indulgence, therefore she grew up fast. Her brother Derek went the other way, and became a spineless mummy's boy, because their mother raised him to be weak and dependent. Which was exactly how she wanted him!
