i met Kingfish in Pittsburgh and he is a good dude,,told him i saw him in Montreal and asked if he was coming back ....he said "I HOPE so" lol...he slayed the show at Montreal jazz and the crowd and vibe was amazing.
Absolutely I agree but I worry about his weight, he needs to lose some pounds just like I do. I want to be able to see him put on many more shows like this one, long live the Kingfish !!!
I've watched so many vids here of him that now I know for sure that he loves doing this, inserting stuff in certain places. I truly think he may have gotten this from Eric Gales

Every Friday night we have happy hour & have a few drinks & cheese/fruit platter & listen to the Blues......& even our Amstaff's luv the food & music. Thanks for our Friday night Music.🙃🙂
this kid is the real deal and I'm hoping to have him around for many years but if the dude doesn't lose the weight , he's gonna have a heart attack soon from life on the road,,,been there, done that,,,,,lose the weight kid!!!...love your playing!!!
I'm sure the guitar players out there notice that Kingfish doesn't need a bunch of half stacks or boutique amps. He just shows up with a combo amp and a few pedals ! It looks like he's just using his trusty Hot Rod Deville.......
He got himself a great bass player and drummer, Needs only a Woman backup singer- keyboard player. I haven't heard anyone play like him in a long time.

Reminds me of Jimi Hendrix, whose "Astro Man" was an homage to the cartoons he played along with learning guitar while growing up.
