My 11 year old daughter was just diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic last week, ER visit and all, and your videos have done WONDERS on helping keep this mama sane, and helping us all feel like things aren't so bad! Much love from Alberta
I was diagnosed at 11, like your daughter! - 25 years ago now, mind.... Any questions, give a wave. It's a scary time, but we do get through it, and I like to think we diabetics thrive!
@@Rietu Thank you so much for this comment! My daughter is taking everything in stride. I always wanted my daughter to look up to me, but as it now turns out, I look up to her.
@@heather5049 I think looking up to someone is a two-way street. As much as you admire her for this, I'm sure your presence and attitude is contributing to hers. If momma-bear is holding strong, it's easier to feel you can get through ithe whole mess.
First of all I love your videos, second of all no matter what type of paper/vinyl you print and cut on if you put that under water the ink will come off, because hp ink is water based, so in order to protect that you need clear sticker type page protectors to put over your sticker so that doesn’t happen. I’ve done many trials and errors making stickers on my printer and Cricut and it’s a learning curve. Using tape to matte out the black lines was a new one for me, I’ve always just taken a marker and made those black lines darker so it could be picked up by the Cricut. I’ve used glossy vinyl sticker paper and had no issues. So watching your video it made me scratch my head. But you are doing great with it for someone that is new to the world of Cricut machines!
The best way I’ve found is using the matte paper sticker paper, printing, then cover with clear adhesive laminate paper (that’s waterproof but leave the sensor lines uncovered. Also check your settings in the maker space for cutting depth . U might want the laminate cover to go over the edges of the sticker so that water can’t seep in from sides. I feel your pain though, I thought a cricut would make it easier but it’s just trial and error 😭😭
I was so glad to see a new post. I have watched every single post you have made on You Tube. Thank You for being so positive. It is so uplifting. I have had diabetes since I was 25. Now I will be 64 this September 5th. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you too.
I was the first to like and I’m at T1D as well I’ve had it for about two years now and I love that story when I saw your videos I know you that I wasn’t alone and you were the one you were the first other diabetic I ever saw
You are so expiring and I am 11 years old and I was diagnosed with diabetes type two diabetes when I was four really inspiring you expire me to encourage myself into never hide my true self
I would totally buy Dexcom G6 stickers from you. You can do some of them with the funny noises that you make when applying a Dexcom G6 😂😂😂. Love how ambitious you are Mary!!!!
I was here so fast I never knew I'd be first at some point. I just wanna say, I love seeing your videos, and I love your energy Mary! Thank you for always posting entertaining videos!
Oh my gosh! Man I've never been a fan boy until I saw you responded! This is so cool, I rarely comment and now I get a response from the creator herself!!!🎉
I have all the stuff that you have so I’m going to make a Dexcom sticker too. I’m super excited. Just letting you know you are the best diabetic EVER ❤❤❤
Just an FYI eco tank printers are a little more expensive, but if you end up starting to print a lot it's worth it Making stickers is waaaaay more difficult than it seems, but once you get it all set up it's pretty cool
love your channel, I think I am starting to understand. dexicom is the computer part that keeps track of your blood sugar and the omnipod contains your insulin? lol did i get it. ty for teaching us what you have to go through just to be here.
You can put the paper back in to make it cut all the way, there is different type of vinyl, too hard of a pressure can cut through the base. (Just some tips from a sticker maker!)
I would try getting cricut markers and just drawing the design on the cricut I haven't tried with glossy paper but it may work. Also sometimes you have to just keep trying different settings because it just takes practice
Hey I have had the g7 but I had to go back to the g6 , the g7 is great , it’s smaller and comes with a overpatch but if you go out of a room it will not pick up any glucose and I had a server reaction to the adhesive of the g7 I also think the g7 insertion hurts more , they are both great sensors but I prefer g6
You are just like me when I first started 😂, when using tape make sure it’s Matte tape the green one and put it on the black lines. Also if it is still not working you can try to calibrate it some more. Thank you for this as well I was searching up a way on how to make these for a friend it was such an entertaining video! 💪🏽🔥
I have 3 Cricut machines Explore Air 2, Maker, & Maker 3. Do you have a Hobby Lobby near you? I buy their brand of sticker sheets havent have an issue with print then cut. I add a weeding box that's close but not too close print a bunch so not to waste the sheet peel box off then cut with scissors craft knife rotary cutter or my paper trimmer whatever is best for what I'm doing. You will want to add a spray sealer over the sticker paper after printing or it wont be water resistant. There's a matte spray you can use. Jennifer's Maker has a lot of great videos on making stickers and other things.
You are such an awesome person to watch on RUclips. I’m so glad I came across you, but what really shocked me is that you’re from Canada most of the people I stumble across from America you’re like one of the only people I watch that’s from Canada Andrew from British Columbia where I’m from, I’m from Surrey British Columbia
I'm curious what you feel when your blood sugar is high? My bloods never drop below 19 and I don't really notice it. So I'm interested in what sensation I'm clearly just used to now.
Hello, great channel , nice person ! I like your energy ! I'm also Type 1 since i was 12 years old ( in 1987 ) , Yeah, already 36 years with this disease... About your sticker , i will check if i find a solution ;) Have a nice day. AND i'm proud of you ! Really ! Hope you will undestand my words cause i'm french ( noooo Belgian with french speaking ) , what you lived , its almost my life too
No experience, but i would print a pattern that doesnt need to be centered like watercolor colors over a section of paper and just freeform cut it like you did your off center smiley face. Is matte vinyl an option?
I’ve been trying to find out how to make the water resistant overpatches and can’t figure it out! 😭 if you ever find out pls make a video. I just wanna make my own w/o having to spend so much
Hi. I saw one of your videos being used in a video on FB for a "bracelet that can help your sugar levels" don't think you would have let them use it so thought I'd let you know
Fun fact. The cheaper the printer the more expensive the refills because that's their business model. Get people hooked by buying cheap hardware and then over time they overpay for the ink. I own a laser printer now and the ink is cheaper, lasts longer AND if you don't use the printer for an extended period of time IT DOESN'T DRY OUT cause it's already dry. Anyway, to help your printer ink last, try to print something at least every month, ideally every week.
Hi! My channel is all about how to use the cricut. Unfortunately for shiny vinyl you have to give it 24 hrs to dry or it smudges while it goes through the machine. That's how I've gotten it to cut what I print. I've also started to just buy the material only from cricut cause I've never had a issue with their material cutting in the machine. Don't tape. I've just found that a waste of time and tape.

How did you know to take her to the ER? Was she sick for a long time? Or did you just kind of. Know?

Glad you didn't give up and kept on going . Thank you
Oooooooo. I tend to buy mine off Etsy and probably the best thing I’ve ever done. ❤
But I’d love to try make my own. :) 😊
My dexcom stickers my wife makes them for me. But I can’t wear the same one every change. Love the channel
Nice that you're back, I swear we haven't seen you in ages
had a hectic couple of weeks, but i am back!! 😁💕
You’re back!!! You’re okay!! I’m so relieved!!! ❤❤
I would totally buy Dexcom G6 stickers from you. You can do some of them with the funny noises that you make when applying a Dexcom G6 😂😂😂. Love how ambitious you are Mary!!!!
What types of things or prints would you like to see in stickers?
Thanks for uploading this! I learned a ton from it!!! Hope you’re doing well and have all the custom dexcom stickers your heart could ever want!
I make dexcom stickers for my bff! 🫶🏻🧃
That’s so kind of youuuu! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
you’re an amazing friend!! that’s so awesome!! ❤😁
Awesome 👍
can I ask what your fave sticker paper / vinyl is to use that holds up?
You were hardcore on a mission Mary!!!!
Ur so amazing keep up the good work keep slaying it queen
LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!

I, for one, am going to be commenting on a lot more videos from now on
The thing with the vinyl is you need a laser printer if you want to print on actual waterproof vinyl and for the design to be waterproof also. 😅
love your videos. I can wait to start making my own diabetes content
adding more pressure, or even recutting a 2nd time (without loading the mat) will help cut more
To get it to cut all the way through, you can set it to card stock and then pressure to more, that's what I do and it works really well.
I have all the stuff that you have so I’m going to make a Dexcom sticker too. I’m super excited. Just letting you know you are the best diabetic EVER ❤❤❤
oooo you should!!! let me know how it works out for you! 😁❤️
Just saw your omnipod commercial! So cool!
Just an FYI eco tank printers are a little more expensive, but if you end up starting to print a lot it's worth it
Making stickers is waaaaay more difficult than it seems, but once you get it all set up it's pretty cool
You might want to try to get a cricut pen, draw it with your cricut, and then cut it. I think it is ‘draw and cut feature
Yes! That’s a great idea!
Thank you!! I’ll try looking into that!
Love your channel❤
she's just so gorgeous 😍
I love this imma copy ur idea cause it’s so smart I love ur vids
Awesome love this!
Love your hair!
Thank you!!! 😁
I have a cameo 4, might need to try making some stickers for Dexcom on that…… you’ve inspired me
I get patterned vinyl and make my own Omnipod, Dexcom, Contour meter and test strip bottle stickers 😀
I would be in tears after the 3rd attempt. Technology can be one of the most frustrating things to deal with. I wouldn't have even gotten close.
Can we get an update on your progress? Your sticker business makes me think it's a lot smoother now 😊
I being dealing with low sugars all day being nightmare , and I feel for u . I’m no good with stuff like that and I can feel ur stress ❤❤

U are you creative I love ur hair btw
You have way more patience than me, after the 2nd try that cricut would have been launched out the nearest window 😂🙈
I was close to doing that!! 😂😂
That is so cool i want yo try this!!
I love your content ❤
post more please!!!!!!!

WAIT HAHA I NEED TO TRY THIS
How did you get the socks? Love your videos!
I love your hair
As an avid cricut user, there were many face palms done during this video 🤦🏻♀️😂
You are litteraly the most beautiful girl i have ever seen. Keep going. You have done so much. We all love you❤
that is so sweet!!! Thank you, i love you all too!! ❤️😁
I don't have diabetes or a cricut, but I bet once you have it figured out, you're gonna be like "OMG....Why did I not figure this out sooner?"

Hiii I love you so much i hope you see this you make me so much more confident 💕
you should make more videos im type 2 but im addicted to these videos lol
Dollar Tree has the vinyl, too😊
How long have you had the dexcom I've been on it for like a few weeks now and I'm loving it

Where do you get your transmitter stickers from
Just saw a short where someone ran a crayon over registration lines on Shiney paper so cricket worked
Love the crackhead energy.
I have type one diabetes to your not alone 🎉
Ended up in the er yesterday with heat exhaustion and a low BG of 42, and I had a seizure.

Will your doctor give you samples of the g7 cause I watch another diabetic RUclipsr and her doctor gave her samples
@@kate-pure well it’s her dads channel but she is a diabetic it’s Clinton Savtos
Hey im t1d too and i dont know why people use the other version like the decimal blood sugars. Can u tell me?

❤
