Try sodium sulfate instead of sulfuric acid. And replace the lead dioxide active material with your activated carbon and graphite active material. Use for both electrodes
I did this and got similar result with high capacity and performance. Motor spin very fast and powerful.
What to do to make a single 16v 500F capacitor? (without series connection - single unit like those on the market)
Lead plates, sulphuric acid, 2.1 volts. Hmm sound way too much like a standard lead acid cell and not a super capacitor.
that's it!
I am from Syria and I love your channel because you are honest
Thanks brother
Nice explanation. Thanks for sharing your useful findouts . From Jawaharlal Bharat 🙏
Thanks
This is called a Super Battery originally researched and developed in Australia. However, it is still a lead acid battery and it has issues with sulfation just like normal lead-acid batteries.
With plain solid lead electrodes sulfation is not much of a problem. compared to commercial lead acid batteries.
Commercial ones suffer from sulfation due to the massive surface area of the thick porous plates. but with this simple version it is not nearly as much of a problem.
Yes.Right.
Good idea.
Good luck.
hello.sir.thanks for amazing videos.i have just think about electric cargo cars which can carry persons and boxes in grand malls.i think if we use lighter and thinner lead sheets and useing sodium sulfate to prevent crossion of lead sheets.we can make a reliable and at least 5 years life span battery with low cost and high power which could be commercialized.what is your opinion?am i in a right way?and what will be the life span of this hybrid super capacitor?
I think we should work on your idea and try to improve and make it possible. All experimentations are good for science and for improving our knowledge
thanks for your reply.and i suggest you useing small and thin copper wire in cuo-feo battery as a current collector in cuo paint because cuo is a bad conductor i think useing 0,1mm copper .nickel .or steel wire and 3mm approx length in this mixture can work well.and it is a best way to increase the capacity of battery without enlargeing the size of battery.also use poros or circle punched copper sheets it can improve current strength .and add lithium hydroxid and koh to sodium hydroxide it can improve your battery.thanks my bro for your good channel .with love from shiraz iran❤
Does it perform better than a Lead-Carbon battery? If so have you compared the two?
Batteries and Supercapacitor are different than each others
Still it would be cool to compare some stats like capacity/weight, but even more important would be probably the charge cycles.
Size to energy storage is how I'd compare. Batteries can store much more than any supercapacitor but can't last as long or charge/discharge as fast.
I like to do interesting experiments and for some time I have been reading about super capacitors and methods of their home construction. It seems to me that you have built not a super capacitor, but a regular lead-acid AGM battery. I wonder if without carbon the efficiency (stored current) would be as high as with carbon
Excellent. Do you know how quickly these self discharge?
Self discharge rate is very low
Wow.
Sir. You make a company? Sell these. Maybe patent a version that's best. You can make money and be a Great Person. Great People should have money in order to be more helpful to all of Life. No attachment. Only Joy, my friend. Only Joy. Om, Shanti 🕉
Why sodium silicate? As a binder?
@@TravisTellsTruths it’s compatible with sulphuric acid.
Do you have anything on diy solar panel and battery that have high amps?1
Not for now
@@joyofelectronics9782 Ok. I will try and get sulfuric acid. Pls list all I need for the positive and negative side respectively...u talk of sulfuric acid, graphite, charcoal and ,? etc
This is NOT a super capacitor by any stretch - this is a lead acid battery. The chemical actions are no different than a lead acid battery.
Thus this is a lead acid battery - it is NOT a capacitor.
For the size that looks like the best in the world. I must ask one question--how do you know its maximum charging voltage?
Thanks. There are two ways for that. The first one is the electrolyte determine the max operating voltage. (Ex: 2.40 volts for water based sulphuric acid, 1.4 volts for water based sodium hydroxide) the second one is experimental. Start to charge the Supercapacitor and observe. The voltage where the electrolysis begin to happen that voltage is the max operating voltage for that electrolyte. I hope you got the answer.
@@joyofelectronics9782yes, thank you. I wonder if you coat the paper towel or soak it and somehow dry it with aluminum oxide powder or mica powder or barium titanate powder. This could increase the dielectric element. I'm studying batteries and it's just so fascinating. I'm making a zinc carbon battery first. Then magnesium carbon for higher voltage I hope. Then lead acid, maybe.
Thanks for sharing, be happy
Thanks brother.
That fits good in a old 12volt 7ah battery.
Amazing invention sir, then what is the function of sodium silicate at the negative pole? and what adhesive material is used on the positive pole
The function of sodium silicate is being used as the binder. It’s used in positive electrode as well.
@@joyofelectronics9782 Thank you for answering my questions and adding new knowledge
A seasonal plant grows in the mountains of Iraqi Kurdistan in spring.,
The leaves are broad and very sharp., 1000 times sharper than pepper
I believe I can use the water from this leaf to make batteries, but the plant that grows in March has not yet grown
how long did it take to charge and what voltage did you use?
The charging duration is depending on the current you charge with.
Can it carry a 12v DC motor,? For 12v ac motor how many do you advised to be made and wired in series?
6 of a kind
You refused to give the model of the charger and where I can get it to buy. Made by,?
Brother l took it about ten years ago from a local store. So it doesn’t have a jenerik brand and l don’t know how and where you can find it. You can’t find it on internet.
Pls are they coated both sides,? Is there any alternative to suldium cilecate? Can one achieve the same capacity with super capacitor made with allumium?
Awesome
Loving your channel.
These are the sorts of things I like to build.
Because of you - I am working on an RC Drone whose body structure is super capacitor.
Which means I need to watch this...
Thank you :)
Edit:
Grumpy... lead probably makes it too heavy for my application unless I can find very thin lead foil to use.
I suspect an aluminum fpil/aluminum oxide capacitor will
Wooooow!!!! You are truly an amazing person.
Thanks
Why can I buy the charger on line and what it's name...model number?
Where can I buy the charger on line and what is the model name?
No capacitor it appears as lead batry
No
I wish there was a proper test to confirm the 2000F capacity. I wish I could share the video but without proper evidence I'd rather not take the risk.
It would also help if there was a mention of the costs involved in DIYing it.
To avoid not having a very long video l didn’t cover those tests and informations. But in the other similar videos l will do that. Thanks a lot for your contribution 🙏
@@joyofelectronics9782 Awesome, once you do I'll reference it in a document I'm currently working on which is about creating a tradeless and self-sufficient community. It's basically about applying the scientific method to societal organization in order to maximize abundance so the referenced material needs to be well-grounded. Anyway, thanks a lot for what you're doing...looking forward to the next videos😀
What name did you call the yellow fabric?

@@tchinobingo3277 it’s a kind of fabric
Pls what acid can I use in place of lead dioxide?
Not putting you down though... This is still wonderful... 5 amps is alot
How can i get lead dioxyde?
You can buy on internet
Nice👍
Can hydrochloric acid be used in place of sufric acid
Or suldium hydroxide?
No
@@joyofelectronics9782 Ok. Pls list the materials for positive and negative sides for me. What acid can I use in place of sulfuric acid? I intend to make 6 PCs in order to get 12v by 30amps since u got 5amps

@@nnejiamaechi9385why don’t you use sulphuric acid. It’s the best for this type of Supercapacitor
we hope to solar cell making video. thanks

How is this not car battery cell again? 😅
You should really use gloves on both hands and protective goggles. You don't want to expose yourself to those chemicals.
Right👍
Itsot a fake video i make these but you say its a super capacitor, yet the coatings on the electrodes are different which polarises them... 2 polarised electrodes and an electrolyte is a battery... B...A...T...T...E...R...Y not a capacitor... A capacitor requires a seperator that prevents electrical current... This is a chemical resistor aka chemical battery jeez... Study what a battery is and then a capacitor and make your own minds up... Nice battery though. They coat the metal to protect it from corrosion from the electrolytic chemicals as they are highly charged which makes most of them acidic... Acids placed inside a plastic beaker xan dissolve metal but nit the beaker... Thats why they coat the metal, graphite and oxides mix well with reains to make them conductive and if you mix different metals into the mixrures you can produce non corrodible polarised electrodes... By adding the graphite the charge rate is halfed and the potential voltage output doubled although as i have found in my own tests upto just over 2 volts can be charged onto these graphite based conductors if overcharged
you must be reasonable.this is not battery nor capacitor.this is a hybrid capacitor.which can give a lot of current in short time and also it can keep the current like a battery.so it is very clear .hybrid super capacitor
Just tell the viewers the leakage current of the capacitor which determines how long the capacitor can hold the charge without self discharge!!!!!
Self discharge rate is very low (average 10%/ month)
wet dielectric material to have such low leakage is astonishing. Thank you for your reply
@@nara49veera12 no problem 👍
Not required ideas.please tell the peoples complete formula mean qty of material chemicals that you should write in your description. This is not good.
Honestly take the time to really learn about what your doing... When you truley understand something you will find yourself making great discoveries instead if just copying what others have shown you
It is lead battery, not capacitor
No it’s hybrid Supercapacitor
It means that you show only your SHOW.IF YOU DOES NOT TELL THE PEOPLES , COMPETE MAKING .
If you watch the whole video without skipping l think the information provided is enough brother.
World strongest 😐
FAKE. It isnt capacitor, it is lead battery
Lol. It's a hybrid style new type of super capacitor. A little slow? Know how a lead acid battery works? He made that better, too.
Fake, the video is cut after the tester
