I'm new to compression cubes. I understand that it helps reduce space, by shrinking/compressing everything down. BUT, with more items packed, won't it make your luggage heavier? I have a carry-on weight limit of 8k/17lbs.
HI @bethmott8630 You are spot on. If you can pack more, then they cause a problem. You can still use them to organize your bag, uncompressed, which I do often, but with a 17lbs limit, I would put the heavy stuff into your personal items and wear your heaviest shoes on your feet. Which airline are you going with?
What I don't like about those particular compression cubes is that they don't open all the way. You sort of have to stuff things in them. I find the ones that open all the way flat much more convenient to use. They are the only kind I use.
Hi @conniekershaw4412 I have both kinds and I find that there is a purpose for both. For packing flat, it doesn't make a difference which one I am using. If I am rolling, I like the ones that open all the way. If I am packing bulky items, I find the ones that open part of the way easier to stuff and compress down.

I'm guessing the women's rainjacket did not have a visor on the hood because you didn't showcase it. I would have to get the men's jacket then. I need the extra rain protection 🙂
