      Even if you don't get in, community college is an amazing option and you have a much better chance getting into colleges from there! I'm not sure where you're from, but California community colleges have plans/deals (transfer admission guaranteed programs) with six UC's, so you can easily transfer to UCSB, UCI, UCD, UCR, UCSC, and UCM (ucsb, ucd, and uci are top public schools in the nation) UCB and UCLA which are even more prestigious and recognized worldwide also have programs that make can make admission prioritized for community college students!

    Not to knock the video... but it seems that most high school students don't realize that the average unweighted GPA in the U.S. ranges between a 3.0 (for all HS students) and 3.4 (for college bound HS students) on a 4.0 scale. A 3.7 GPA places you in the top 10% of students and, depending upon your SAT or ACT score, makes you competitive in the majority of the top 20 schools. And that aint "average."

    these are not average stats... lmao this is so embarrassing and can make people with actual average stats feel very bad. You have great grades and very good extracurriculars. Just because you took 5 AP's instead of 12 doesn't make you average.

    Does anyone know how dual credit affects GPA?

    • @NEbeliever
      @NEbeliever 2 года назад +4

      Depends on whether they are weighted or not. You can always just check with a teacher or look through a handbook for your school. Dual Credit weight can be subjective to the teacher.
