Thank you for the great tour! I really appreciate it as I won't get the chance to go. When Jimi found out that Handel had once lived there, he thought it was possible his spirit was still there and went out and bought Handel's Messiah. The rolled up rugs on the side of the bed was because Hendrix loved Antique Persian Rugs and would switch them out from time to time.
I was Hendrix crazy when I was young. Still am. I remember the day in art class when we got the news he had died. There was total silence. Upon his death, Janis Joplin said "I'm next" and unfortunately she was, just a month later. Check out his interview on The Dick Cavett Show. He was extremely intelligent and, unlike his image and stage persona, seems very shy and modest. He was a good guy. Great vlog Jordan.
Thank you for this. I visited the house last month for the first time, despite being a Hendrix fan since the age of nine. I would recommend it to anyone interested in music and history, and especially to those with a penchant for these two geniuses. Both were brilliant composers and performers, both changed the face of music, and both came from foreign climes to London (Jimi from the US, Handel - or Händel, to use the original spelling of his name - from Germany to London. As an Englishman, this video also makes me homesick.
We had a music teacher who introduced us to Hendrix 7 th grade. I couldn’t get to class fast enough. I ended up buying Jimi Hendrix’s greatest hits. I’m 64 Jordan
I’m incredibly envious of this trip. It is on my long list of places to visit, so I really appreciate every minute of the vlogs so far. What a fantastic exhibit! It must of felt incredible to be there.
The Handel/Hendrix Experience. What a brilliant idea. Very awesome. I had no idea that was there. Way cool. Thanks for The awesome match ups in the tour also. That just makes it much more real. Be safe.
Paul Allen here in Washington, is a huge Hendrix fan. AT the EMP, which is now called something else, he has a room dedicated to Jimmy. He collects everything he can get. Jimmy sister is executor of Jimmy's estate and she buys up everything she can of his. Another great podcast!
"FANTASTIC" vlog!! 😁 Both flats are equally as impressive!! Records!!! Jimi was ahead of his time so I think he would have dug digital and would have utilized it to further create sounds that his fans would listen to and say "how did he do that' ! Gandals grand piano is the most. beautiful grand piano I have ever seen!! The portraits of him paint a man of vibrancy and very present in the moment. I'll have to do a google search on him!! Look forward to your next vlog
I love all the beautiful and interesting architecture in London. The Handel and Hendrix museum were such a great insight into their lives. I'm loving this mystery destination twist. Can't wait to see the next vlog.
I love that you get us all the info. As a die hard music lover myself this is very comforting. I'm a lot like you I adore all this stuff and I'm constantly met with the older folk that's like " YOU know this music, you're to young to know this"
Damn. 2.35 I took a pic of the two-mask street art just yesterday, and woulda been super-stoked to bump into you. Hope London was good for ya, come back soon!
290th like but this was a way to cool video. Jimmy Hendrix was a awesome rockstar and Handel was a great composer. Awesome video Jordan. Keep them coming.
I’m not surprised Jimmy had a collection of Handel he must have studied classical music to hone in his artistry. Jimmy’s mind for music was well beyond genius for sure. That hifi stereo and dial phone are memories of my childhood. Great vlog Jordan be safe and be well.
Wow two of music's best composers. So loved the era of Jimi Hendrix. Not sure why it is by everytime I open a vlog by Jordan I know I'm going to learn something I didn't know before. Great footage Jordan! I think hands down my favourite album by Hendrix was Electric Ladyland. Please say hi to that great four legged critter, Jah, for me when you get home. I wonder if he watches you on the internet when you're away?
Handel... A German who loved Italian Opera! Love his work! The Harpsichord is beautiful! Wow what a colorful bed he had. Jimi’s flat is awesome very cool of Kathy to do this. Wonder what he thought going through the stairs and hallway of Handel being “neighbors”. Think of all the music coming out of the windows!! Thank you for this 🦁❤️ loving all this wonderful travel!
Those times were so outstanding and many of us realize it was going to be a small time in history that would be remembered. We knew we were lucky to be living it. The 1st time I heard his music was in Mpls, MN in 1969, and I was 19. Wondering around Mpls and St. Paul was so much fun.
💋Jordan, Thank you 1000x over for such Great vlogging! I just absolutely adore you. Blessings on your travels. I get so happy to watch everyday. Love and Light 💖Carli
Awesome, awesome awesome!!!!!! I absolutely loved this segment Jordan. Excellent planning and coordination between flights. You've really outdone yourself this time. What a wonderful tour..... To think you've visited and have made something as cool as this available to most whom would probably never have an opportunity to visit. What a gift for the the masses...... You are most appreciated and loved...... Please know this..... Well, onto the next vlog. Thanks again for all that you do. Safe travels to you, keep the rubber side down, and rock on...... Arthur Child's, Oak Harbor, WA. 🙂
I actually teared up when you showed the actual mirror Jimi used with the reflection of his guitar on the bed. What a special moment! Loved the feathers, red velvet jacket, eyeball shirt photo, record collection list, and especially his hand writing. Thanks for including the residences of Handel, Chopin, and Winston Churchill. London has been a blast!
Most of it was recreation of course, but the mirror was his.. they say he thought it was bad luck to trash it. A collector bought his records, but he trashed most everything else
You never hear the stories when Hendrix would stay with his grandmother in east Vancouver, Canada, the building still exists as a living shrine, the area is close to skid row, so just a little sketchy. He had quite the connection to Vancouver, and this city as well as others across the nation, Vancouver was a major link to the underground railroad (to help runaway slaves from the States)
Hahaha... it was Jimi Hendrix room. Unbelievable en u got to sit on his bed Jordan what a major .The smoke butts hand written voo doo lyrics the boots tha jacket blacken white post cards. Its almost like hes jus stepped out 4 the dae. Wow!!! u stepped the floor of 2 G8Z frm 2 different eras. I get so happy en chuffed 4 u 2 do these things especially. U vlog history 4 us an its rad 2 share in momments like this. DWJTL THATS WHAT WE TALKIN ABOUT. !!!
Man !! The large wood speakers for the sound system are the exact style of speakers that were given to me by a guy who provided my first guitar amplifier, a 50W HIWATT ..... which completely destroyed the speakers .... !
Honestly Jordan I'm in awe of you, you got of that long flight and then showed us things i personally knew nothing about, showed me things that i would never of seen, Thankyou loved it, that was special and if I'm not wrong you were loving it x but as always who knows what you have up your sleeve tommorow x
Thank you so much for sharing that beautiful story I've been a fan all my life I am now 62 and by the way if I don't see you in the morning world I'll meet you on the next one don't be late
I love how you just Handeled this blog seeing Jimi Hendrix home was quite the experience:) Seriously another AWESOME job Jordan just waiting to see where you are now and as always thank you
Great to hear the tale of the jacket at the kirk nightclub, Yarm is my home town my dad and auntie actually meet hendrix in a late night cafe on the High Street hendrix came in went to the Dukebox checked to see if any of his songs were on it, I got to go in the kirk a couple of times before it was knocked down, following in the footsteps of a legend, have a great trip Jordan, love your vlogs
Thank you so much for this detailed view of his house! I appreciate the Handel insight as well. I only got to touch the outside of this flat when I last went in 2007. It wasn't opened to the public yet. Thanks again! ❤
My guess is you are headed to Ireland I can tell by the symbol on the plane. It looks like a gusiness beer harp symbol lol.. If I'm wrong don't make fun of me lmao
Jordan, thank you very much for Handel/Hendrix vlog. You consistently hit it out of the park! You have my vote for MVP or is that most Valuable Vlogger? I know your location but I won't spoil it. A friend in the Army was stationed in Europe. She traveled extensively. She always sent postcards and pics. The horse and carriage w paver streets gave it away. Looking forward to awesome vlogs!!!
Great coverage. Love the fact that we won't know where you will be next time. You always have interesting things to show us no matter where you are. Thanks Jordan. Belinda in NC
Neat mix of old and new buildings on one street. The Queen will be opening for Drake any day now. LOL (just kidding). How beautiful is the inside of that harpsichord? Just awesome. Beautiful jacket of Jimi's. Great music collection he had. Gorgeous bedroom. My dad has a coffee mug just like the one here in Jimis room. I love the box with the shells on it. Great post cards. Great museum. I'm glad you took us. Great vlog. Lots of information. Can't wait to see where we end up tomorrow.
I got to visit his grave site up in Washington and it was such a cool experience i had it all to myself and i just sat there in the rain for 45 minutes
I love this vlog, so great seeing where they lived, and they're belongings. I would love to be able to go to England some day, we have ancestors from England and Ireland. Awesome vlog Jordan. 💖 Have a safe trip. ✈
Idk why this didn't show up in ny notifications 😭 I looked it up. Good thing I did. Very very cool 💙 I've seen some of jimi's stuff at the rock and roll hall of fame. Great vlog Jordan.
What a pretty interesting history lesson! I enjoyed seeing and hearing about Handel. I didn't know very much about him. I especially liked the Hendrix experience. At first I kept noticing all of the feathers then I realized a lot of Native American touches and it made sense. And lucky you got to sit on Hendrix's bed!! Great vlog!
Wow, Jordan that was really awesome! Just imagine the music out on the street that came from Handel's piano room! Jimi's apartment was so interesting, kind of homey in a very cool way, not the dark edge of a rockstar that I would have imagined, it was so cool! Looks like he and Kathy really loved their cigarettes, LOL! Thanks Jordan that was a great vlog, have a great day!
That was good ..jimi seen handle walk through the wall look at him and disapeard through wall. When jimi spoke in pub they said hes bin smoking some good stuff.jimi said iswear down idid... 🙏
I so enjoyed Jimi Hendricks London flat and the stories about him there.
Thanks
I prefer Hendrix.
@@hesch-tag funniest comment in quite awhile! 👊🤣✌️❄️🌍❄️
Thank you for the great tour! I really appreciate it as I won't get the chance to go.

As a Classical music student, I love Handel.
instaBlaster
So cool ! Handel and Hendrix so close but separated by centuries. Yes "crazy people live normal lives"!
Handel and Hendrix??? Only in Britain.
I am glad you call it a flat and not an apartment. :D
Great music related video. :)
I was Hendrix crazy when I was young. Still am. I remember the day in art class when we got the news he had died. There was total silence. Where is it documented that Janis said, "I'm next" after Jimi died?

Handels Messiah is a favorite...my father sang it every Christmas with the city choir...very special to me.
I’m incredibly envious of this trip. It is on my long list of places to visit, so I really appreciate every minute of the vlogs so far. What a fantastic exhibit! It must of felt incredible to be there.
