I saw Jim's grave in June / July 1979, his name was written as Douglas James Morrison on the headstone.

It's neat to see where Jim was and look at things as he might have.

That brought back some memories from 1975 for me. I remember sitting on that grave next to Jim looking at all the messages written there and then looking to see who was buried there.....Jim Morrison. RIP.

I attend St. Petersburg College as Jim Morrison once did, and I love the Doors. And the Oscar Wilde stuff. This was awesome man. I didn’t know any of this and I’m happy I tuned in. Recognized in Paris to! Very awesome

    Hi Jordan,
Just a quick correction. Jim was terrified of needles he would never have shot up. The speculation is that he either snorted the heroin or that is was confused with his cocaine. He was also very sick that day when visiting with a friend of his before going to the Rock N Roll Circus. Also it was not his friends that took him out the back door to the flat , it was Rock N Roll Circus employee and bouncer.
Thank you for your incredible Vlogs. I absolutely adore you and watch pretty much every day. The ones on the Doors and Jim are so good. I am a huge Doors Fan. Safe Travels.

And he didn't buy the heroin, the dealers gave it to him to pass on to Pamela as she had ordered it. Also it wasn't that door they would have carried him out of, it was on the other side of the building

I am so glad you showed us Oscar history and was hoping you could have spent one night in his room. Maybe next time. How great to be recognized! Not surprising since you are the best vlogger out there! Thank you for showing us Paris Jordan!

Cool VLog on the Lizard King. I visited in the 80's when the white bust of Morrison sat on the granite block. It had been vandalized and his nose had been broken off. I heard the bronze plaque had been put there by his father and family many years later. Cool place. Thank you Jordan! Jeff

Magnificent vlog, Jordan! I love it when great minds are honored. You did that and more. I couldn’t help but contrast the differences between the treatment of the the two men after death. Thank God for friends like Robbie Ross who had a heart and did the right thing. This vlog meant so much to me. The wit and writings of Oscar Wilde will be remembered probably as long as civilization exists. 🦁🦁🦁

What an interesting tribute. Père Lachaise Cemetery was so peaceful and beautiful the day we visited it in 2014. I can’t wait to get back to Paris! We were lucky enough to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when the “Doors” were the special exhibit. It was really well done.

That's just spooky that Jim stayed in the same room Oscar did. I read Pamela never got any of the estate because it was tied up in court. Then when she died 3 years later, Jim's estate passed to her parents and then Jim's parents took them to court where they, the four parents decided to settle on dividing Jim's estate 50/50. Parents who both hated him and wouldn't have let him in the door. Jim's wishes were never followed. And it is so sad to see where he is buried and how they took care of him after he died. No autopsy and that they take a famous man, from a band that anyone could have contacted to deal with this, and dump him a cheap casket in a hastily dug grave and bury him as fast a possible. No wonder the Doors didn't believe he died. Jim deserves so much more. Too bad someone couldn't bury him in a place of honor and respect. And the fact that his own parents didn't come there and take his body back makes me sick and mad. He might not have been their "perfect son", but son he was. Sad, both him and Oscar. Too bad someone hasn't come along and gave Jim the same dignity as Oscar. This was a very moving and very sad podcast. You've covered your subjects really well. I enjoy your story telling better than any documentary would do. Thank you Jordan, again for your wonderful podcast. I also wanted to give you a big smile because as you said, someone recognized you from your podcasts! You are getting famous! Keep it up. Blessings to you.

Wow, just saw this video. Jordan, these tours are incredible. So informative. I visited Morisson's grave in 1987, when the white bust was on a block of concrete and you could go right up to the grave and hang out. I was there by myself in the early morning in May. The bust had been vandilized and disfigured. Someone had broken off Jim's nose. Litter was everywhere, butts, cans, Sharpie pen writings on the crypts everywhere surrounding the grave. It was sad to witness.

I grew up listening to the doors since 1994 and now I'm 40 years old and my favorite song by the doors is when the music is over (1967) Jim Morrison's vocals on when the music is over are great and there's only 2 members of the doors left John Densmore and Robby Kreiger and they are in their 70's now I heard rumors about Jim Morrison's Grave moved to Los Angeles but I wished they leave him alone and I'm super pleased about the your vlogs in Jordan the lion especially in Paris,France and I don't know who stolen Jim Morrison's old Grave marker and the bust of Jim Morrison in Paris I hope they catch the thieves that did it

    Jōrj Sank and Reev Gōsh
We tend to pronounce things the way we read them. As Americans, it's no surprise we don't usually know the correct pronunciation if we don't hear it first. So, by coincidence tonight’s episode of Travel with Rick Steve’s on PBS was....PARIS. It was OK but the fun was, thanks to all the things I learned from your Vlogs, I was able to impress my family with all kinds of additional facts about Napoleon, the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and more. I had to “confess” the source of my suddenly acquired knowledge and then I showed them three of your recent episodes and they commented how cool your Vlogs were and how well done they thought they were. I know for sure my brother subscribed to your channel on the spot! Now all I have to do is survive TG with the family tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving to you, your family and all your fans!

Likely the reason why Pamela chose a cheap coffin & didn't put a gravestone was that she really didn't have access to Morrison's money. It was tied up in probate immediately since they were never legally married. Also several women filed paternity suits for a share of the estate & Jim's parents also fought the will. She had to spend what she had available, which wasn't much.
