I firmly believe I had Sinead for a Jack the Ripper tour in June 2007, something with her voice unlocked a memory when she talked about the physical descriptions of what happened to the women. Glad to have found her again on here and hear her again do this tour. My university had a study abroad in England in late May to early June 2007 and I think one of the chaperone professors had Sinead do our tour.
I took a walking tour of Whitechapel Dec. 6, 2008 while visiting London from the US. It was dark, foggy, cold with occasional bits of light rain, in other words, it was Perfect for the tour. The tour guide was a Scottish gentleman who was an identical voice match for Sean Connery, brilliant. It was a night I will never forget.
WOW WOW WOW absolutely gobsmacked by your fantastic tour, the best one I’ve ever listened to. The way you immerse your audience in the events that took place on the grim streets of Victorian London is amazing

@@ToursbyFootLondon That's wonderful. I moved to London from the States December 2019, so I have not been able to see very much due to Covid. Can't wait and thank you
Sinead well done, I enjoyed it to the end. The enduring legacy of Jack the Ripper continues because his exact identity we don’t know also I think the mutilation of Mary Jane Kelly as the “final” victim demonstrated just how brutal he was.
Thank you so very much for doing this for us. I live in Rhode Island, in the United States (of course) and I have been pretty much obsessed with England and it's history since I was around five years old. It started with my favorite stories such as Peter Rabbit, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, and Alice in Wonderland. When I got older it was King Author and Robin Hood, and then Jane Austen, The Bronte sisters, and Charles Dickens. I love anything to do with England's history and its legends. I have been wanting to go to England for almost fifty years and I am now planning my trip, however, with Covid, I might have to put it off for a while longer. Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you. You are an amazing tour guide.

Brilliant, just Brilliant telling of the story and thanks.
I have been fascinated with these murders for years. I was in London for a few weeks but never had the opportunity to take a Ripper tour. You had information about the girls that I never knew, specifically their backgrounds. Until this video I had only thought a surgeon would have had the knowledge and skill to perform the mutilations/removals; the butcher and 19th century barber theories make a lot of sense, particularly if those of the former profession (butcher) frequently walked down the street covered in blood. Great video and tour.

Well done Sinead. Absolutely brilliant. Nothing I love more than a good documentary. After all the Jack the Ripper documentaries I have watched this was brilliant, loved the walking tour, felt like I was there. excellant work.
One thing to add to this brilliant talk is that for a while the two police depts didn't cross-examine the evidence and conducted separate investigations in their separate jurisdictions. It was largely thanks to the press that it was changed and their efforts were combined.

The "Ripper" started strong and ended strong. Usually there is a progression in the violence and mutilations. It gives some credence, in my mind, that this was not his first rodeo.
Agreed, but women's lives were of no worth back then as they are today, I guess there must be loads of murders that were ignored because women were the victims. The Ripper's murders drew everyone's attention because of morbid curiosity, it was the way those women were killed.
@Joanne Marie Hornby actually there was a two or three year period that he was in England, and it coincides with the Ripper murders. This was before he moved to Chicago and took on the moniker H. H. Holmes.

In the mid-late nineties I lived just over the borough in the City of London, close to Old Street and abutting Whitechapel. Your tour took me on an amazing trip to areas I vaguely knew (and some I was too scared even in daylight to wander far into!) This is the most amazing tour Sinead! I thank you so much for your research, passion and dedication. You evoke not just the area, the suspects and most importantly the victims, but it is your scene-setting and social and historical commentary that is beyond par. Great tour, Sinead. I took a Ripoer tour two years ago. It was fascinating and gruesome all at once. I have also read Cornwell's investigation into the case and Sickert's surmised involvement. I don't know if she is right. I suspect not, but she is certainly determined to prove it. I was creeped out when tbe tour guide, a knowledgeable gentleman, invited us to lay ourselves on the street, in the same spot one of the unfortunate victiims was found. Many of our group were happy to accept. But for me, it was a bridge too far. It made my flesh creep! Thanks for the tour. Fabulous job, as always. Cheers, pet.

I’ve always wanted to take this tour and so glad I found this video. It’s a amazing tour and she is incredible.
You bet she is
Quite possibly the best documentary on the Jack the Ripper murders. Well documented, well presented, well explained. Wondrously dramatic. Shockingly scintillating. Totally rivetted to the very end. Sinead is one master storyteller. 👏👏👏
I am only about 10 minutes into this presentation, but I HAD to stop and leave a comment. This is one of the best virtual or in person tours I’ve ever seen. You have a wealth of knowledge about which you are passionate, and your presentation of this fascinating topic is beyond brilliant. When I’m in London again, I will take any of your tours I can. Many, many hats off to you!
Welcome to the channel, Patricia!
Brilliant stuff. This girl knows her stuff!

Charles Kross which cross was a surname his real name was Charles Allen lechmere and he was Jack the Ripper
Robert Hawley 12:25 Lechmire is IMHO one of the more probable JTR suspects,
More so than a lot of them.
Yeah and they're also linking him to the Torso murders
Wow!! How you recalled all those names, dates, locations, chronological events, historic notes and details off the top of your head alone is incredibly impressive!! Thank you so much! I was enthralled the whole time! ❤️

What an excellent storyteller and guide! I'm so happy to find this channel! Thank you for all the hard work!
We are glad that this brought back some memories. We hope that you enjoyed this one too :).
I'm from London, glad you enjoyed the tour.

Seems like a very reasonable conclusion.
Agreed, but women's lives were of no worth back then as they are today, I guess there must be loads of murders that were ignored because women were the victims. The Ripper's murders drew everyone's attention because of morbid curiosity, it was the way those women were killed.
Many believe he was H.H.Holmes.
The violence did progress but I agree that there were probably more murders

I never took a tour back then and I feel now I have done so, as this was so evocative. Thank you and best wishes from Australia!
