There's a lot of misinformation. You do have to change the setting in the game. This will specifically reduce the resolution to 1080 or less to get 120fps, and, on games like fortnite, the textures literally disappear from the environment immediately.
Half the people here including the person who made this video don’t know the difference between hz and fps. The ps5 will not run 4k 120fps. However it will do 4k 120 hz given the game supports that.
@@MarcBilaszewski That's not what they say. If you are playing 120fps performance mode you get dynamic resolution and not native 4K. To get highest resolution you probably be getting 30fps to 45fps.

4k actually only benefits certain ganes. Like Demon Souls or Racthet and Clank remake. 1440p is the true sweet spot for the ps5 to get the clearest image quality. 4k for a lot of games washes out and stretches the image trying to output to 4k in turn making it look worse. Red Dead 2 is the perfect example. Also, there should be zero games on your internal ssd. It should be running of an extended SSD. Keep your system storage free so it can at its best. Same with HDR, i keep it off as like 3 games ive seen benefited from it. Every other one it washed the image out horribly. Alan Wake 2 for example (might be my monitor has poor HDR idk) and last, keep your console clean. If its full of dust bunnies and the heat sinks inside are clogged its going to run like shit

There is a difference. Horion Forbidden West shows this very significantly. On Performance Mode graphics are more edgy as there is no Anti-Aliasing. In other games you can see lower quality water or window details. If you know, you will see the difference immediately. Kinda sad that the ps5 was and is still sold as 4k console and games are still optimized for last gen and the the ps5s Hardware is not even capable of true native 4k. It just does upscaling unless you sacrafice video quality. So no true 4k 120 here. Only high end PCs with a 4090 or similar can do real 4k and not even 120hz in most cases. When it comes to ray tracing even high end pcs can't do 4k 120hz. Consoles are always outdated as they are released plus developer do not make 60fps patches for games. 30fps standard nowadays is really poor.
Guys please listen to me. Never EVER use hdr to always on. Only set it to on when supported. If hdr is not supported, then the game will use SDR which is actually sometimes better than hdr.
