Yes absolutely love the non-sports card attic find Fridays. Keep them coming. They are great. A good change.
Thank you!!
Loved all the Sierra games as a kid. Playing Kings Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry (also at a friends house - lol).
One of my favorites was a game called Hugo’s House of Horrors. I remember distinctly that there was a part near the end where you had to answer trivia questions (believe it had answers in the manual as a copyright protection - of course we didn’t have that). I remember one question where they were looking for an animal for an answer - I had no idea what the answer was so I found an encyclopedia of animals, and just went through the entire list until I found the right one. Took days! Great memories though!
Looooved Sierra games! And I almost forgot about how they had the "copywrite" protection.. the manual with the game, sometimes in deep red so you couldn't photocopy it haha. Hugo's House of Horrors was awesome.. I think I bought a 3.25 freeware version somewhere lol. Leisure Suit Larry and the Land of the Lounge Lizards.. classic!
Ahhh the ‘80s
I love these stories, they're great. It's history and informative. Keep them coming!
Thanks Brian!
Leisure Suit Larry was awesome!
In school we had IBM’s and Apple 2’s . My parents wouldn’t buy me either of those but instead I got a Commodore 64. Which I enjoyed and they used the big floppy disks as well. So, never owned those games which is just as well as I would be really frustrated because I probably would have go rid of them. Cool story- thanks for sharing 👍❤️
Myst... Leisure-suit Larry... you're taking me there, Mike!
One game I really enjoyed was 'Wrath of the Gods' (c. 1995), even if it kept crashing. Was both educational (based on Greek mythology), and fun to play.
A great AFF there! Keep them coming - whatever the content of them. Love the variety. 👍
Ordinarily, I think Ebay auctions are a bad idea... but when you don't know what you've got, and it's such a niche item, this is one of the occasions where an auction can be an advantage, as opposed to a fixed price.
Wishing you and your family, and all viewers a great weekend. 👍
Thanks John! Same to you, my friend.
I knew those names the minute you said them. Sierra games were awesome. Cga graphics leisure suit Larry, and space quest were legendary. Awesome history.
Yes do more...
Also check out concert ticket stubs, PSA now grading them too...
Thanks Robert!
My family got me an Apple 2C when I was young and every year I plug it in and play for a few hours. While most were copies, I sold many years ago the ones bought with boxes and instructions and sold them for between $30 and $60 each. My faves were Montezuma's Revenge, Summer and Winter Olympics, Lemonade Stand and I obviously wasn't very good at Beyond Castle Wolfenstein because I was never able take down Adolf H.
I loved Wolfenstein but I played Doom 2 for thousands of hours
As a teenager, I played a lot of Donkey Kong Jr.
I love this story. There are lots of cool attic funds of all sorts out there. I have a couple stories of my own!
Awesome!
Always enjoy a great non-sports card collectible story. Reminds of all the stuff I had as kid but never kept.
Yeah I had so much! I remember putting my stuff out at a yard sale around 1994 and an old guy stopped by and offered me $16 for everything and I took it because I didn’t want to sit there all day. All my childhood toys.
Very cool story! I’ve always been fascinated with the early gaming/computer days, love to hear this kind of content. And yes, absolutely love the idea of non-sports card/memorabilia AFF in general!
Thanks Sam!
@@JunkWaxHero you’re welcome!
Liesure Suit Larry! There's some wholesome entertainment!..
I'm a fan of these trash to treasure stories. One of my personal "finds" was when I was selling my physical music collection of mostly hardcore punk stuff, I finished listing all my CD's and I was taking the cases off the wall and loading them in my car to literally bring them to the dump I did a quick ebay search and they were worth $100 each. I had 9 of them.
Wow!
What band? I sold off so many punk cds years ago, but still have a fair amount that never made it to LP. Curious what bands brought the big bucks!!!
@@CoreyInCreamCity I don't remember what CDs sold well. I do remember selling a ton of demo cassettes to Japan and I had some really rare Converge vinyl and one guy in Germany bought it all.
Love this story. Nothing more I can say except that I have a box of old Apple IIe games I may need to go through. I think they're all copies though 😁
Good luck!!
Yeah, I like these attic finds too Mike!
Great!
Great story Mike & please do some more. In 1980, I was playing USSSA softball on a traveling team on the weekends & playing every other night of the week on league teams. Playing video games was like studying Chinese arithmetic to me. Still, it’s a rare, unique story & who doesn’t like a happy ending.
Thanks!
Into any rare find stories. Thanks for sharing!!!
You bet!
I never played any of the ‘click quest’ games, but i loved a Soccer Manager game they had for PC in the late 1990s.
Cool!
Hey Mike, great story. I played a lot of Apple 2e games when I was a kid. I vaguely remember the Mystery House game , I think one of my friends had it. Great topic!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a really cool video. Im not a big card collector - its really cool to learn about history like this. You are able to tell it in an interesting way
Thank you!!
If I seen this in my basement I would think it was trash. I would throw it away without realizing how much it is worth.
Me too probably
In the mid 80s I spread a bootleg of Karateka around my school with instructions on how to copy.
Haha that’s awesome
Sure wish I had something laying around forgotten about that's valuable.
Me too
Very cool story! Nowadays, computer/console gaming is considered a sport, LOL!
Yup!
It won’t surprise you, to know I have boxes of these floppy’s.😂😮
lol yup
Love these!
That was cool.
If it has to do with collecting bring them on. There's always something interesting in any collecting stories.
Yes!
Hi Mike. This was a cool story. Thanks for sharing.

I love the cards. Also loved today's Floppy DIsk story. I am not even a gamer. I enjoy the rarity of the item. More stories sure I enjoyed.
