I bought a new tv 75” vizio and the very next day it didn’t work correctly I think these tvs should be recalled if they all have issues. This is ridiculous! I made a purchase to get rid of issues but this this is worse then what I already had 🤦🏾♂️ think I’m taking mine back to the store
So my tv would turn on. The Vizio symbol would show but a black screen would appear after. I did everything in this video and nothing worked to bring back Smart cast. I clicked on User Manual in MENU and it started to download an update. But told me download was unsuccessful because it wasn’t connected to the internet. But it was. So I clicked cancel and went thru the User Manual setup and all of a SUDDEN everything it’s back! 😁

None of that even came to working at all!!! Really? I had the symptoms you explained and did the fixes you recommended short of the router and going in computer ones. Just a little much and far fetched to me. My tv comes on then when you go to do anything at all, menu or an app , anything goes off. More than one on here said do all the unplugging, hold buttons and plug back in, etc. then tv wouldn’t come in at all. Then after about 5 min came back on. So before going further and risking going back off and not being able get it back on my husband changed the batteries. Worked like a charm. Not one person on here suggested that just change the batteries. Now that didn’t occur to us because if the fact the tv would come on. Just couldn’t go past that or goes off. So in our brain if batteries dead then tv wouldn’t even come on. Although it wasn’t coming on with the power button on back of tv either, so nowhere in there suggest batteries. So just a tip to the tippers, suggest batteries in this situation. Tv comes on but goes off if you try do anything and won’t come on with power button on back either. That’s symptoms we had that just replacing batteries in remote fixed. Surprised me. But thought I’d pass it along as it makes no sense to me why would be batteries if comes on. But it was. There you go!

These issues have been going on ever since the tv was purchased three years ago and I have tried all these fixes as well as the cable provider. Save yourself much aggravation and choose another more user friendly brand. Any brand over this one! Buyer beware.

My tv is a Smart TV it's. A Vizio 55 inch the problem is when I try just punch in my channel there's a box that pops up and it looks almost like a calculator box
We have to unplug our TV every time we go to watch it again in order to use smart cast I had to do in update I don't recall trying the factory reset it also sometimes only goes to like 20% on Netflix shows then won't go any further when trying to load I've replaced the power board and graphics card but once again don't recall doing a factory reset have u ever seen updates cause this issue any imput appreciated
Mine is A little older. It always says network connection problem. And the internet working fine. It does it every 15 minutes or so. This has happened ever since I’ve gotten it. Anyone else experiencing it?

Thanks to reaching here and your quires. Please unplug the tv power cable and wait 5 minutes. Then disconnect all external cables from the tv. After 5 minutes later connect the power cable and turn on the tv. If this method does not work then try to reset the tv by remote. Hopefully this will work. If any difficulties please let me know. Help!, any inputs made on remote just cycles thru onscreen. Rebooted tv now unable to setup or do anything because any button pressed on remote keeps going
We don’t have the original remote control for the tv but we have a remote we bought all buttons work but it won’t move down when we go to the menu to go to wifi.

Our tv doesn’t have a Soft Reset. I did Reset to factory settings, unplugged, held the power button then unplugged for a few minutes and I tried to update it. We want to watch TV, but it always bounces back to Smartcast after 10ish seconds of having the TV channels on. We tried to Find Channels too and that didn’t do it.

My Vizio tv is now stopping my SmartCast during my playlist as it changes video, I get a pop up on my right side of the tv, it asks me if I Wish to Proceed and it will not allow me to click ok with my remote. I don’t know why but it started this a month ago. I believe it’s a parental control, but it’s on my RUclips playlist or Que list of videos. How do I bypass this? I’m nearly 50 and no kids so I don’t need to be asked if I want to continue, it’s my playlist that I created , so yes I do wish to proceed. Do you know how to disable this setting or better yet, how to press yes? So I can continue playing my list. I am sick of this message. I believe a videos it’s doing this with is for videos that are uploaded for adults, how do I get past this?

For me the tablet that comes with the tv just keeps looping the google sign in. Asks for email/password then loops and asks again. I factory reset tv but didn’t fix it.
Please inform us when Black screen shows as 1. watching tv channel or 2. watching RUclips or other streaming video application. If 2. Then restart the tv. keep close your router and tv in same room. If 1. Then disconnect all external cables from tv and recheck the issue. If sameness problem > open tv’s back cover reconnect all internal cables tightly. Clean all dust inside of tv. So this is will be weird. Vizio tv is working about 50% Tv can be turned on it can connect to the internet but only by casting through my phone for everything. Remote buttons works Home button Direction button and select button Not working. Everything else settings volume input all not working. When home button is pressed won’t connect saying not available but AirPlay and chomp can still be used while reconnecting Have already tried all the resets on this video still no go
New out of the box 65" Vizio hook up to Hopper dish and the set shows Hopper plus icon and then no connection... Hooked up my old Vizio tv and Hopper plus works fine... Try everything what Vizio owners and tec had to say & this site is not any better..

These smart TVs are actually stupid because they have quality issues more often than you expect and won't automatically reconnect to wifi sometimes or it has an internet and an app thinking there isn't, vizio deserves to be sued
im trying to cast my oculus headset to my tv. it has built in chromecast which appears on the headset. I click cast and the tv screen says loading chromecast for a few seconds and goes black, the headset also says there was a streaming error. any help please? I tried these methods and nothing

We can't get our older TV past the " Downloading updates" screen. The bar will go over so far and then drop to the beginning.

Everytime I'm casting my phone to my TV it keeps crashing and it says no internet available
