- I show you how to fix a Vizio Smart TV remote controller that is not working, power button not working, one of few buttons not working, ghosting, delayed etc. You may have to try these methods at least a few times. At least 50% of you will have your remote working again by the end of this video. Plz comment if it worked for you.

I just bought a vizio smart TV a week ago, to replace the one that crapped out on us. The remote slipped from my hand, and started to repeat one function for every button (i.e press volume up and vol down, input, power etc would repeat first function)
I'm glad I watched this, because I thought "great! I got a new TV, and I just dropped the remote from two feet, now I need to buy a new remote."

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT JUST WORKED FOR ME!!!! I didn't even need to unplug my TV -- just took the batteries out and pressed all the buttons like crazy lol. THANK YOU!!!!
I followed all of the steps, but the remote did not work at first. I pried open the remote into 2 halves and cleaned the inside areas with a half piece of baby wipe; even were the batteries are placed. I reassembled; made sure all the keys were not sticking down or stuck; and presto, the remote now works. Thank you for this video that helps you fix an old remote. Better than purchasing a new vizio or universal remote.

Worked for us! Took the remote out into the garage and turned the air compressor loose on the buttons. Blew out some debris. Works like a charm now. THANK YOU!!

It worked, it worked!! I tested my remote first using my electric guitar and amplifier. A remote will make an audible sound through the pickups of a guitar when a button is pressed. It was working fine and there was no stuck buttons, so I expected it was something internal with the TV. I didn't expect this video to work for my case, but it did. I think unplugging the tv and taking the batteries out and holding the on/ off button down for 30 seconds reset the system. Thank you very much. My wife is happy now and I consequently so am I.

I just got back from going to Walmart and buying a replacement remote just to find out that it didn’t work either. Vizio actually has a “reset” step you can do through the tv to resolve the same problem, but this is a MUCH better fix as it doesn’t erase the settings in your tv. Great video. Thank you!

T.V's volume would not turn down nor up, regardless if I used the remote or T.V buttons. I unplugged the T.V as advised, waited a few minutes, then plugged it back in and the volume controls worked again; Thank you!

Echoing the comments below- This actually worked and just had to sign in to RUclips specifically to say thanks!! When I started pressing the buttons I noticed the "9" button was jammed in.
