It’s equipped with a 340 HP 6 in-line cylinder engine which produces 700Nm of torque 9G-tronic transmission.
2020 Mercedes CLS400d Coupe 0-100 km/h (62mph) can be reached in 5.7 seconds!
The top speed VMAX is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155mph)

This CLS looks great but I would pick an old CLS63 AMG (W218 facelift) all day. That car looks perfect from every angle and sounds perfect with the monstrous M157 engine. It's a shame that current generation CLS doesn't have the 63 model anymore.

I have been waiting for this colour to get a review. I have seen a few press shots of it and was wondering what it is to be called. I love it. Why are they not using the new wheel generation ?
@@jamisonz3365 That's exactly what I did, (I had intended to get the new shooting Brake - which they don't do anymore either).
The CLS typically had things that separated it from the E-Class of the day. In this latest case it's ugliness. The current model is as ugly as the devil.
Colour is fab though.
The look of cls is wanderfull but the engine is not i will love this model of cls with old engine v8 biturbo 2015 cls 63 is a beast its time to put on that beast the legendary v8 4.0 l thanks

@@kwaseb CLS 63 had a V8, the CLS 65 sadly doesn't existt, the CL65 does exist.
They changed its name to the Gt4 and upped the price 😂😂😂 same thing BMW did with the 6 series and the 8 series

If it was possible, this is how my CLS would be like - both engine and design specification. Wow. So lovely. However, I would not want the orange leather. I would rather it be light brown. As I have mentioned before, the CLS is (was) my favourite in the E-Class for a lot of reasons. It is not anymore, but it was for a long time. I will miss this car. It started one of my favourite trends in the automotive industry. I have an uncomfortable feeling that it is not getting a new generation or facelift. No MBUX, no ISG, no stage four plug-in hybrid, no new engines, no new LED technology; all of which the new E-Class facelift has. I will miss this sweet CLS. Gone...but not forgotten. I would be surprised if it survives to greet the new decade. 😢
It is very obvious why it is not selling well, but it still hurts me to think that is happening. Same obvious reasons go for the S-Class Coupé and Cabriolet...which ended in them being axed. Gone...but not forgotten. Bye. 😢

I really miss the rear haunches and body lines of the old model cls. They made the cls stand out in the range. Now only a well versed mercedes fan can tell the difference between all their car models.

I dont think they are going to make a cls63 of this model cls. It's to close to the gt63 and would steal sales from the much more expensive gt. It's a shame, but I think the cls63 is probably gone forever. Might be a good time to buy an old one since they might go up in value if they discontinue them.

@@tim7793 In my country, the cls is basically the same price of the amg gt 4 door (running on petrol). That's why cls doesn't have too many sells, in my opinion
Beautiful car, but I agree with you about the use of plastics in the front bumper, the steering wheel, and the diffuser (although I can accept this). The steering wheel plastic is probably what would annoy me the most, and I definitely felt your "ARGH!" there.
I'm also glad that you've accepted your "Arnold" side. No gonna lie, sometimes I imagine that Arnold is speaking to me while I'm watching your videos.
@Mr. Benz, is the update that was just announced this one? I can see the diamond grille is now like in the C Class with tiny mercedes stars and the new steering wheel gen. Is there any other changes?

It is amazing to me how much of Mercedes brand reputation will depend upon the durablility of the electeonic componets. I am skeptical but hopeful. My W210 has missing LEDs. My W211 has missing pixels. I can fix these issues but the cars run without them. What if the displays are requires for driving? This stuff needs to work flawlessly in 2035. I miss boxy reliable builds...the electronic components should be highly modular and easy to replace.

I own a 2020 A class sedan, my problem with setting the CLS as my upgrade target is that the car's exterior looks way too similar to a stretched A class.

This grey color looks awesome, i'd chose mat finish instead of shine though. The brown leather interior is probably a too big contrast, a darker shade would certainly make it loo better. I agree with you, the steering wheel center in plastic is a fail !!! Not acceptable for a luxury vehicle... and it is right in front of your nose, for you to watch it ? Also the fake exhaust is a no-no: come on, you are paying premium for a Mercedes !!! The design lines are fluid and superb, both on exterior and interior.

Very nice car, unfortunately, I have to stop watching at 3:06 because the video is not pleasant to view. Why the camera has to keep moving? Let us enjoy the beauty. Don't be rushed, smoother the transition for the camera for a better view, slow down your pace.

We are conditioned to success and failure, not that there is not something true but nobody can lead you to it. So, most of our consciousness is conditioned to live a life of constant struggle, which implies the denial of what is and the acceptance of what should be.
Is it just me that don't like the headlights after the 2017 model , I own 2015 CLS350d AMG line and love it , the headlights are custom with the inteligence adaptive system implemented from the previous owner. I feel like the models after 2017 look like Audis headlights. What is your opinion?

Biggest problem with the CLS is that any other driver of other cars will take some time to tell the difference between CLS and a CLA on the road or motorway.

This car looks amazing but the head room at rear and boot space is rubbish . Try getting in pram in or two suitcases. C class or even e class is perfect in that respect
