@@BOTBreviews quiet too. Put your foot down it makes a nice sound but it could be from the speakers although all the latest Merc diesel engines I've driven make the same noise. None the less cool video keep it up.
I have a 15 plate cls 220, become a Merc fan from being an Audi fan. The cls I have is beautiful and impressive car all round. But This has to be my next in line.
I have bought the e 400d and love the engine. The cls looks better, but I didn't want to spend so much money for the looks. The gap between them both is among used car really huge.
Why is the warranty period in the UK and the US etc not so long for Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc? In South Africa, all Mercedes come standard with a 5 year 100,000 km maintenance plan which covers every single thing from brakes to rattles to wipers to servicing. Perhaps our conditions are more favourable for vehicles? Our temperatures never reach points where things are freezing, it doesn't snow and it doesn't get Dubai hot either.... In any case, this kind of plan means even 5 year old vehicles are mechanically still strong and they are reliable as a result because they were serviced correctly and regularly at Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
For me it’s that engine in the E All Terrain I’m just waiting for the E class to get MBUX and wireless Apple CarPlay. As a side note I’m convinced diesel will have a bit of a comeback in the next 5 years or so
In The Headlights In a small car when you can get 80mpg on a run the fuel cost is the same as electric without the charge anxiety. CO2 is alot less than petrol filters now deal with nox and we buy twice as much diesel in uk as petrol so once some people move out of petrol for electric petrol unit prices will start to rise
Undoubtedly a beautiful car, but there is one small elephant in the dealership and it's called the CLA. Why pay over 70k for a car when there is another car that is about 30k cheaper and looks all but identical, albeit smaller? You can even get a CLA which is faster than this. I think MB should have made it stand out a little bit more.
I have the 6 Series Gran coupe 640D M Sport, and it is awesome, reason I am sticking BMW, and almost certainly upgrade to 8 series gran coupe, I just don't like the stretched ipad screen as a dash, just not appealing!! But great review!!
Model S over this any day. Faster. Smoother. Better for your kids and neighbors and city to breathe. More trunk space. Used to love the Mercs, but it is getting boring.
The person behind the camera did a fantastic job focusing on the reviewers face other than the actual car
Good review and I now have one and can confirm the car and engine is without doubt the best car I have had.
Glad you agree! I loved the engine. Enjoy your new car! -Christian
9:18 - 9:50 pure accuracy. I have driven this car and that engine is amazing. You will do triple digit speeds easily without realising.
It’s so effortless isn’t it! Glad you agree 😊 -Christian

meso06 thank you! 😊
I have an E400D and it is a wonderful engine.
Hey could you please share if there were any issues by far?
Thank you!
@@dobrinkolarov5263 None. Tyres wear due to awd but that was expected.

Great review...i like the format...and honesty...better than many other reviewers.
Thank you Andrew. We’re just starting out so learning as we go 😊

The engine is great. Thought BMWs inline diesels were good but this one is something else. Having said that, the CLS450 petrol is even better!
One of the best front ends with one of the worst back ends
Wrong way around - back end is lovely mate.

Nice looking Merc, but think if i'd the cash, i'd go for the 6 Series Grand Coupe.
just 30.000 uk pounds now
Excellent, I’ve loved this car for a while now…begrudging the road tax payments and wish it was a bit cheaper but hey you don’t get luxury cheaply 💞
£450 on top of the road tax?????? I was told it was going to cost me £490 for 5 years then it goes back to £130. Please can you explain?
Yes in the 6th year it goes to 140 per annum
What he on about? It goes down after 5 years right?
@@espritv12 thank you so much 🙏

It does seem a few other manufacturers are looking at bringing diesel back. I was shocked at how good the engine was in this.

Well said.
@09:06. Are you sure that an AMG GTR has only 500NM of torque? I mean really sure.
The CoolLikeShit 450 has 500Nm😉
Great looking car. I'll win one... One Day!

Lovely car, but the tax is a bit steep for a diesel

Thanks for the comment Damindra. Understand where you’re coming from, I quite like the long screen, although it does rather dominate the dash!
Damindra Gunatillake I’m sorry but bmw is no where near as good looking on the inside then a merc no chance.
It looks like an insignia a bit at the front
I can kinda see why you say that yeah! I’m a big fan of Mercedes new ‘shark nose’ think it looks great. - Christian.
Bargain compared to the AMG GT 4 door - which is basically this with an AMG badge - which everyone will stick on the back of this anyway ....
Smelly

But this think uses diesel why would you compare them and also merc looks way better
