    Thanks Mark for the suggestions. For me it was not a spacing or face issue, it was definitely a hand path issue. I will try the tee trick.

    Thank you. Found out hand path has to do with body rotation issues. I was trying to push my left side back instead of rotating my right side through. Once I tried doing things the way I used to do my hand path became better because I was rotating more from my right side.

    This vid is very helpful! Q: On the launch monitor with slow mo, I always see I hit the heel but with a square club face. Would that mean it’s most likely spacing issue? I was confused because when I extend my arm and drop the club that’s where I line up the ball in the center of the club. But why would I always extend longer when actually swinging… 🤦🏻‍♂️

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  2 года назад

      Thanks Ce Sun! Glad you enjoyed it! It can be spacing or hand path or a combination of both.

    This has always been a problem with my driver consistency on the heel goes about 215 straight down the middle and my 3 wood goes about 250-270 and I get my partners saying just hit 3w so frustrating 😡😡😡 hopefully I can solve this irritating problem with your tip!!!

    i keep hitting it on the hosel and now im so scared im gonna break it. I think i am standing too close to the ball and extending my arms at the start of my swing, so i hope this helps me.

    is it okay to address the ball like a practice swing? When i did that and took a full swing with my practice swing address, i finally hit the center of the club. Should i just go about my rounds looking like im taking a practice swing then hit the ball? Im pretty sure all my friends will be like WOAH!

    This makes perfect sense to me. I tried standing farther away, so far that it was awkward, and I still hit the heel. I could not figure it out. The other two pointers should give me a solution. I could see on video from my phone that my hands open up right as the backswing starts, so that may be the culprit.

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  2 года назад

      Thanks John! Glad you found the video helpful. I often see the open club face as the culprit. All the best!

    • @johndunn3492
      @johndunn3492 2 года назад +1

      @@DurlandGolfSchoolNaples I tried this out on the range, and I think the open club face and dead, stiff arms and wrists were to blame. Perhaps arming the ball without a sufficient wrist hinge tends to keep that face a little farther away from the body?

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  2 года назад

      @@johndunn3492 certainly can! Watch your grip pressure as well.

    if you stop rotating and your hands keep going wouldn't that cause to to come in open and hit off the heel?

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  4 года назад +1

      Hi Randy! Great question. Yes, that is what I address in the second segment with the hand path. We are just saying it differently. The "stop rotating" you are referring to is the body being too closed at impact. This will send the hand path out more and lead to a heel strike. Lack of rotation doesn't guarantee an open club face because the club is attached to our hands and arms NOT our chest or pelvis. Hope this makes sense and let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.

    • @randylandis9529
      @randylandis9529 4 года назад +2

      @@DurlandGolfSchoolNaples So what your saying is if i have trouble getting by body through impact if i still get my hand path more to the inside i can still hit off the center of the clubface. is that correct?

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  4 года назад +1

      randy landis yes it is! I’ve done exactly that with countless players. I’ve also seen a better hand path stimulate rotation.

    Fantastic video but you left out the main cause, at least for me, which is early extension.

    • @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples
      @DurlandGolfSchoolNaples  3 года назад

      Thank you! Yes, that can definitely cause a heel or even toe strike. For the sake of keeping the video on the shorter side I kept it to just a few items. I do have an early extension video you'll find very helpful here though ruclips.net/video/n5FQ4Y0YtPo/видео.html.
