    You’d want a higher TBN oil for E85

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  22 дня назад

      I believe the tbn is 8.0 and being a higher viscosity itll not shear as quick, e85 does degrade it quicker but ill be good for 500-800 miles (1000 miles max), confirmed with Amsoil Tech its 8.0 TBN and i can go 1000 miles which is perfect they said.

    I did that same intake setup with my ST, well it's only a 3in because my BNR turbo is just a 3in inlet but I love it... and no it's not a 2JR intake, lol. Question though - If I go the fe3600 oil filter I would have to jump to 7qt of oil? I have been using FL440s with 6qt of pennzoil ultra platinum

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  22 дня назад

      The fe700 could do 7 qts of oil if you either had a balance shaft delete or a oil cooler mod otherwise you would need thd big boy FE8A filter which you need a oil filter housing adapter for because it wont fit otherwise, it holds 1 qt of oil literally and will last 2 or 3 oil changes because its got so much filter capacity. Thats badass you made a intake like mine even if its a 3", i got one made in 4" to match the turbo but its tight.

    Cool build new subscriber. I own a Pro charged 12 mustang 3.7 circle d convertor blah blah ( car runs a 11.8@ 117 on 5 psi 11.6 @ 120 on 8 psi with drag radial here in hot as$ Florida ) You absolutely nailed it saying the viscosity brakes down. I run Penzoil platinum 10w40 after running several oil test at blackstone I came to the conclusion that for me running 93 octane right at the 1500 mile mark the oil viscosity dramatically broke down.I was advise by them with my driving habits they recommend 1500 mile oil changes at the max.

      Thats badass man my best time ever ran was in 2018 with a 12.8 at 115mph with street tires 😆 , i was only 360whp and i idle laumched it, had stock suspension, stock clutch, full tank of 93, stock engine and it was the 1st pass i done in 4 years at a strip the video is under the old videos playlist check it out if you want. Recently ran a 4.6 vortech v2 supercharged Mustang that was fun also , the guy just bought them.

      @@WhiteblurrST I will check it out awesome. Man that 115mph with suspension / Drag radials should put you at really low 12s if not very high 11s . My brother in law owns a 2018 Charger scat pack full bolt on. The best he ever run was 12.4 @ 114. Im sure roll racing is where your St will shine. There's a few big turbo Rs/St here where I live in Florida that have gapped me here to be honest. HaHa my excuse is always " My mustang is setup for dig races" Roll races and turbos always a great combination.

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  22 дня назад

      Yea a evo x with 380 awhp was 12.2 at 111mph so yea with good tires and a better driver it would be low 12s, my clutch was shot after that 1 run lol. It started slipping right after. Now with good tires doing the same thing im sure i could run low 11s or high 10s maybe being 560whp.
      *Roll racing to me is more fun because its a no bull race, it allows the cars to show what they got, drag racing is hard on these focus st transmissions ive been thru a couple 2nd gears so i dont do it anymore.

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  22 дня назад

      How much hp is your mustang? Those 3.7 v6 stangs can be crazy with turbos ive seen it, they sound like a v8 too.

      @@WhiteblurrST I made 414whp on a mustang dyno on stock 4" pulley, 3.5" pulley made 444whp This is on 93 because where I live the only place to get e85 is 30 miles away. I was told by my tuner 500 whp would be no problem if I was running E85. My engine is built Manley rods and Manley 2616 pistons Arp head studs. If I can ever figure out my traction issues I have a smaller 3" pulley should put me closer to 10-12 psi. I would imagine i be around 500whp.

    damn im gonna have to try this 15w50 update me on them oil temps i love schaffers 5w50 but i do want that extra viscosity for e85

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  23 дня назад

      My oil temps reach 185-195 depending on temps outside and what kind of driving. Highway driving itll reach 200° but it protects better and wont shear as easy as a 5w50 because the base oil has less of a viscosity spread, its also good to have a 15w50 because it wont dilute down as easy from fuel or e85, 5w50 becomes a 5w40 quickly especially the ford shit.

    How do u like the vac pump delete? And what vacuum source did u use for the brakes?

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  4 дня назад +1

      I love it because it prevents a catastrophic failure, i have seen these vacuum pumps lock up and destroy a camshaft ruined a engine, it cleans the engine bay up, you can run any vacuum source you want with a chack valve basically thats all, i did mine thru a secondary inlet port on my pcv plate catch can which has 3 ports total.

    A fram filter…

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  22 дня назад

      I know but if you do your research the fram endurance is actually comparable to Amsoil Filters , the fram ultra and below are all junk. For some reason tho the Fram Endurance is a whole different level in quiality, no moisture in filter or degrading in media. Go check out the short i had with the fram endurance filter after a rt.66 trip in the 4runner, it still had plenty of life left and the pleats are wire backed so there tough plus it filters 20+microns at 99% efficiency like amsoil. We literally drove 5100 ish miles on this oil change / filter and thru many different climates including 122° degrees in California / arizona so this proves the durability.

    Quick question, any recommendations on trans fluid? Was gonna order some Motul, but had a debate break out on the FB page post about it 😂 some saying to watery and some saying use gear oil instead of dct fluid. Needless to say I got no answers. Also had suggestions to use liqui Molly and another additive (forget off hand). Just want my new transmission to last, only has about 10-15k miles on it. Oh, you know of any solid tutorials on how to swap out the gauge cluster face? Was playing around with the idea of swapping out the oem black ones for white. Just random thoughts😂

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  21 день назад

      I use 1 qt of Amsoil 75-90 mixed with 1 qt of Amsoil ATF Red Label which is used in manuals too. This mixture has worked the best for me and is way better than the watery dctf fluid, motul and oem fluid are no good personally since ive had failures on both fluids. I also just ran amsoil manual 75-90 manual trans fluid alone but ive seen less metal build up on the magnet plug with my mixture so there is that. No dont run gear oil which is for differentials, it doesnt have seal condioners and the additives for protecting brass syncros. You can get Redline 75-90 MTL also if thats what you want too.

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  21 день назад

      The best DCTFluid is Amsoil but our fluid is 75-80 weight, its definitely not water but seems like it. Liquid moly and Probably that additive ceratec, that shit settles and doesnt mix good. I looked into it already lol

      I switched to 5w50 in 2015 on stock motor big turbo, making 360whp stock fuel system on 93. The reason you want a thicker oil is for higher temp shear protection, a 5w30 will become a 5w20 in no time especially after 1k miles and using e85. All engine components needing oil but the important ones are main & rod bearings since there seeing the load, a thicker film can handle higher loads especially if its got a good add pack! You can run a 10w40 thats what you should run Amsoil XL is cheap if you get the Membership and save 25% on products, its 20 bucks a year and you save that on the 1st purchase.

      Even if you have an oil cooler?

    • @WhiteblurrST
      @WhiteblurrST  21 день назад

      I got no oil cooler, if you live in a hot climate its better to get a 160° thermostat because i ran one and my oil temps never went over 180° - 185° on highway and normal roads was 170°-175° with it being in the 70s ambient, the coolant was around 5 degrees warmer i loved the cooler temps but i was worried about the oil not burning off moisture but i never had white residue on oil cap so maybe i was just over reacting but id invest in a 160° thermostat before adding on another oil cooler, the only need for an additional oil cooler is for Racing or constant WOT Pulls, our cars have a oil cooler factory regulated by coolant and if you run a cooler thermostat itll help cool everything down and also could help prevent head cracking.
