Yes everyone claims to own guns for self-defense yet no one or just very small number of people ever defended guns with themselves in real and reasonable situations. I am from a country with zero AR15s but where everyone posses or is able to own AK47. We don't have many of those colour based racism, mass-shooting or children targeting behaviors but indeed we have many other closely similar problems. Last night I could hesr the crossfire or exchange of fire for about an hour close to my house and the place is not a battlefield! It is normally beautiful until something like that disturbs it on regular basis or sometimes on daily basis for certain specific periods. People should have outsourced that self-defense to their police or authorities in general but indeed that is only possible when you have trusted authorities. In such country violence persists just because of a lack of trust in the system or in the process of having that system in place. Yes everyone claims to own guns for self-defense yet no one or just very small number of people ever defended guns with themselves in real and reasonable situations. I am from a country with zero AR15s but where everyone posses or is able to own AK47. We don't have many of those colour based racism, mass-shooting or children targeting behaviors but indeed we have many other closely similar problems. Last night I could hesr the crossfire or exchange of fire for about an hour close to my house and the place is not a battlefield! It is normally beautiful until something like that disturbs it on regular basis or sometimes on daily basis for certain specific periods.
People should have outsourced that self-defense to their police or authorities in general but indeed that is only possible when you have trusted authorities.
In such country violence persists just because of a lack of trust in the system or in the process of having that system in place.
People in uniform behave in the public as they are in battlefield with enemy! And the leaders are indeed cause of that in this country.
No peace or good governance is possible until that mindset and behavior.
