The F450 is on point for sure, never have cared for Ram body styles.
Only thing I think ram is slacking on is not having a wide track front axle option in a 3500 like ford has on the 450 pickup “which is just a 350 with a few upgrades to those who don’t know”
I just did the same switch as you, a 2015 3500 dually dodge for the 450. I can say the only drawback so far I can see is the weaker exhaust brake, but when I use tow-haul and manually downshift it's pretty close. I do miss the ram sound though. I'm also going to a 33" tire for lower revs.
A man like what he likes.. Team Ford.. F350 here..
I have a 2021 F250 platinum.. it's pulls like a champ.. an stylish an the ladies love the Massage seats while looking at the Moon 🌙.
Pull commercial??
@@broyaradmykaal4557 yes sir..
Yeah bro I love my 2022 350 second truck will be the 2023 450!
Have you had any issues?
The turning radius alone in the f450 is reason enough to switch. Freakin Dope!! Can u turn better than a Honda civic.
Are you gonna delete the egr & dpf?
JB…. How many miles did you put on the Ram the little time you had it..?
47k. I still own the ram I didn’t get rid of it.
Damn JB! Wash your truck! 😁
If you get a 22 Superduty, you won't be disappointed! Been running a 22 F450 and the 10 speed is butter. Non CDL 25+5 from the same MO dealer. Same guy from your other video.
How many miles on that new 10sp tranny??
@@broyaradmykaal4557 32,000.
You opened the hood on the Ford you got quite looks like confetti and spaghetti
If you’re stating non cdl would definitely stay with a 350/3500 unless you’re in the process of upgrading to that A going to be super hard doing anything with that high of a gvrw but whatever you got going on bro wish you nothing but the best and stay going up , just got back on the road myself after being off for a couple months running my 5500 rollback hope to catch you out there one day
Tru all a person need running non cdl is 350/3500. But the f450 gvwr is 14,000 it’ll still keep a person under 26,000 combined.
I’ll back out on the road come 2023 Brodie. Be safe out there.
Non CDL should stay with the 2500/250 unless you’ve got an extremely light trailer. 350/3500 is pushing it close. 350/3500 and the f450 pickup are all 14k gvwr. You may be able to order a 350 from ford with a lower gvwr, but I haven’t seen that option with Ram duallys.
The only thing JB is the 450 is going to ride rougher than a 350. Not a whole lot but you will notice the difference.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I have a f450 dude it’s fkn awsome
Do you need a paydex score to finance it in your business name
I love my 2022 F450 XLT
Hey so I'm currently waiting on my authority to finalize and registration is last thing I have to complete. How much did your irp registration/plate cost for 12 months? We where owner operator tractor trailer leased to a company for 7 years, but never had our authority. Hoping it's a little less than it was for the big rig.
Oh we got our F350 after 8.5 months waiting for it to be delivered. Love the ford's.
You know 2023 F350 come with the high output 6.7
$87k sheesh, that’s a bargain. In Australia those things would be $150k 😅
I have met alot of people that do say the ford drives/rides better compared to ram. I do like the interior of my Ram better I do have the limited mega cab with Ram boxes though so all the bell and whistles. I prefer towing with a GMC over my Ram. I have never towed with a ford only have been a passenger in one with 6 horses in tow and the ride from the back seat was quality plus I like the moon/sun roof view.
They all have something to bring to the table. The interior is most definitely better in ram. But drivability to me goes to ford and GMC. But at the end of the day it’s all based on personal preference
I have never heard anyone say that the Ford drives better than the rent. The ram is smoother and quieter and the interior is night and day better until 2022. And now Ram is ready for a refresh and we'll LeapFrog the Ford in the Chevy as they did with the 1500
@@ubeuonly again it’s preference. I literally got my ram truck looked at last week and the diesel tech literally said he agree that the ford and gmc drives way smoother than a ram. He quoted that ram has a heavy duty work transmission so it’s not for smooth driving.
@@JBTRUCKN I was kind of referring to everyone and anyone who has ever driven one and written about it online or in a Blog. Even husband and wife driving teams. Transmission shifting quality aside which I don't think is relevant you just cannot compare the utilitarian work truck F-250 with a ram. It just doesn't jive. And in light duty trucks which is 95% of all trucks on the road there's really no comparison
Try backing a trailer in mud or on wet grass before buying a Ford. With the Ford you get one wheel spin then nothing, with the Ram you get LSD and both wheels spin. Been there, done that. Ram for me. About 2015/2016 Ford dropped the LSD in favor of eLSD and optional eLocker. Neither work anywhere as well as LSD.
Are you non CDL or CDL with this truck, JB?
he is non cdl right now.
@@yrbuddy77 those duallys are heavy but JB makes it work like mf’er 💪🏼
@@yrbuddy77 I thought if your gvwr of the truck and trailer combined is more then 26,000 it’s cdl?
That’s true. If it’s over 26,000. A 450/4500 gvwr is 14,000
@@Semper_haulin like he stated that is true, so he could use a trailer at gvwr at 11,900 or 12k or use his current trailers de-rated to those numbers to fall within the 26k non cdl set up. It would be interesting to see what his dry weight is with F-450 and trailer which would tell him what his loaded numbers can be. I {assume} AND could BE wrong, but he would lose approx., 2,600 pounds of loaded freight so instead of hauling 9-10k pounds of freight he would be down to 8-9k pounds of loaded freight. He has been consistent in showing his numbers and set up so time will tell us how it all works out.
The dodge interior is far better though
Okay I might get some push back on this comment but this is how I feel. Now I have never owned a ram. I have owned several Duramax’s and PowerStroke’s though, my biggest fear of buying a Dodge/Ram, is the lack luster transmissions. I have several friends who have had issues with the transmissions on their Cummins trucks. Now I’ve heard the Asin Trans is better but otherwise, ram has had a terrible reputation with their transmissions for nearly 20 years, I love the Cummins platform and I have almost bought ram in the past but I can never get past the transmission horror stories. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s what I’ve heard about and that’s my fear.
Yes get the Aisin transmission, you won't have any problems.
Fords hold up longer in the commercial world.
Who cares about aesthetics when ur running a work horse? The Ford 10 sp transmission takes a dump around 55-60K miles and then you're doing major repairs, with their warranty. I have a fully built '01 7.3 w a 40' PJ Air ride and my new truck is a RAM 5500.
Okay and your point is? I ran my f350 to 106k miles no issues with engine or trans. The luck of the draw.
7 friends with new f350,s and 450,s and all of them the 10 speed took a dump between 56k and 120k miles and no parts available. Areas the cu.mins and Asian parts are available and the 68rfe parts available. Also 5he Ford is more expensive to run, urns more def , harder to work on, over engineering as usual so will cost more over time and 5he motors blow at 160k.. rams excluding g the 2022 last , stay away from 22 rams get a 16 to 21
Check the sticker, 6200 payload seems high for that model. My 2022 Dually F350 same trim is at 5380.
Of the ford page 2022 F350 Dually GVWR 14,000 and payload 6530. You get more payload in a regular cab configuration.
@@JBTRUCKN I have a 22 f450 limited and my payload is a little over 4800 pounds.
You kept saying F350!
I kno I meant f450!
All of these trucks have there own problems. Did you buy it or you just click bait the video
If you watched the whole video you’ll know
The only people that would choose the F250 350 450 over the ram are people that have never driven the ram. Period. I own a ram and work on Ford. There is NO comparison
Again, preference. There is a lot of comparison from all the one ton trucks. Anything man made got issues.
@@JBTRUCKN some things are subjective some things are tribalism and some things are factual. Of course all man made things break but the last thing I would want to drive is a big Square construction worker truck. That's my opinion. And certainly one to drive something that other people don't have instead of buying Every Man's truck
I’ve driven a RAM 3500. Heck no. You’re right. No comparison. FORD is 100% better
@@erod6214 must have e been an old one. Nobody ever says that. It's an unrefined construction truck
you gave up the ram for a ford 👎🏾bad decision 😂
I still got my ram. Used the title to grab viewers attention.
@@JBTRUCKN Keep doing your thing JB. You are doing great. Take care
350 is better not the 450
I am curious as to why? would you say that is the case across all brands? Trying to gain insight for myself
It all depends what your going to be hauling. 450/4500 chassis will have a higher payload than a 350/3500.
350/3500 will do the job if your doing general freight and not overloading the rear axle
@@JBTRUCKN there is nothing a 450 can do that a 350 can’t do except for turning lol
@@jamesnelson5700 False. 450 has a higher rear axle rating than a 350.
@@JBTRUCKN the payload is less because the 450 is heavier than the 350. Doing hotshot 450 has no real advantage over a 350
New 2022+ Ford cars/trucks is trash with engine/transmission/fires problematic and recall on RUclips. Stop trades and drive away with Ram 3500 truck.
All manufactures having issues. Ram included. It’s the luck of the draw when it comes to issues.
I have seen 5 rams on fire .. n 1 ford..
@@tramainemcinnis4827 most def been hearing ram catching on fire. Haven’t heard too much about super duty having a ton of issues.
Lmao dude, I’ve worked at a ram dealer and now a ford dealer. I can tell you, you see Super duty trucks in the shop a lot less than I saw rams in the shop😅
@@carguy0389 the powerstroke 6.7? And what year models ?
F450 xlt fully loaded good for hotshot? Cdl A of course
