    Matt, I run a cleaning business that covers a large area. Am I better having a individual website with a specific domain and a good domain authority for each area or individual pages covering the areas on one website? (then that page might rank when area is searched) Hope that makes sense !

    For outbound affiliate links, should we be using nofollow tag or sponsored tag? I've a bunch of "sponsored" tag links and wondering if I should go back and switch them.

    Question about keywords..I have a craft blog..and the main topics remain same for example knit a top..now there are many patterns but the keywords remain same. What would be your advice regarding this? Thanks

    • @MattDiggity

      Sounds like these keywords should be written on the same page. Check the SERP.

    Keyword cannobalization is not anymore an issue. GOOGLE will display both similar articles in the serp next to each other since 2022. Actually you will occupy more serp space as a result.

    • @MattDiggity
      @MattDiggity  2 года назад +1

      Only if you're ranked high. Google isn't going to do that for articles anywhere below the fold and waste serp real estate on something that will never be seen.

    Hi Matt how would I rank a page for say ‘marketing agency’ but want to target cities ‘marketing agency sydney’ ‘marketing agency Melbourne’ would that cannibalize the main page?

    • @Jake-mu2zm
      @Jake-mu2zm 2 года назад

      You'd want to build out location pages for each of those cities and you'd be fine.

    GSC is much better for keyword tracking than Google Analytics because of the inaccessibility of a huge number of keywords in GA.

  • @Hasitha_Chandrasekara

    Isn’t the title and H1 the same thing? 🤨

    • @steveiws
      @steveiws 2 года назад +1

      No. Title appears in the serps. H1 appears on pages and posts.

    • @Hasitha_Chandrasekara
      @Hasitha_Chandrasekara 2 года назад

      @@steveiws but how do you distinguish it on the WP post creation page?

    • @steveiws
      @steveiws 2 года назад +1

      @@Hasitha_Chandrasekara not sure I understand you. You can use an SEO plugin to write the title. On-page depends how you build pages or posts. In Gutenberg, write the H1, your main heading, select the block/heading and click on the icon on the left to make it an H1. Similar if you're using a page builder.

    • @steveiws
      @steveiws 2 года назад +1

      I don't use an SEO plugin, I just create one H1 per page. Google knows that's also the intended title.

    Your videos are too fast. It’s hard to keep up with everything you’re saying. Try using normal speed next time. It’s okay if RUclips videos are long. People watch you because they enjoy your content. That won’t change even if it’s longer
