I absolutely love your channel. It is so nice that you teach us authentic style cooking. I moved from a big city to a rural area and there are no ethnic restaurant choices at all. So I’ve been learning to make all sorts of styles of food; Mediterranean, middle eastern, Chinese, Mexican etc. You make it look so easy.
Hi Mandy. My comment will surely get lost in this list but if you ever come cross it, I just want to say: I am an Asian, fluent in English, Thai, Tagalog, Mandarin and French. Researching your language background, by far, you have the best diction from the consummation of languages you have learned, particularly in the culinary arts. Thank you for staying true to your mother diction despite the pressures of social media. My kids have learned a lot from your recipes both on cooking and language. Thank you for making my job as a parent a lot easier!!!
Okay, so this is a sign… just made some chicken stock last night! 🤩 love the way you describe the noodles, you have such a way with words Mandy! That soup looks like heaven! 😋
I'm cooking this for Sunday brunch this weekend-- I just finished making another batch of Korean bone broth and was wondering what new soup dish I could make this weekend seeing that I'm at the tail-end of a horrible sinus infection. What serendipity to have chanced upon this video tonight! Thank you so much for not just this video, but your entire channel. Wonderful. 😋🙏
@@MD-tb6yz DELICIOUS!! Please do give it a try. Use the best quality chicken you can-- no factory farmed hideousness if possible. Try and buy the best quality free-to-roam & free-to-forage chicken you can. I just love eating someone knowing it's rammed with nutrients, vitamins, fibre, protein and all the rest of it-- with nothing ethically ugly involved. You'll feel so nourished and enjoy it al the more, I promise you.
Her videos are always so inspiring. Love this new soup recipe. Can't wait to try this out. My soup game is seriously sad so I really need something to help me out.
I could eat soup for any meal, and in any weather. I love soup and this looks so appetizing, Mandy. Thank you so much for your clear instructions, as always! :-)
I'm always a fan of soup . I like your recipe ,especially recovering from covid I'll be making soup today, I made my own chicken stock yesterday and adding your ingredients thank you
This is an astonishing and wonderful recipe. Try it at home! It's got so much flavor and heartiness. It's really healthy for you too! Try it as the weather gets colder. Make it with or without the noodle... it will be your favorite soup after a couple of tries. Very authentic.
I'm trying this recipe tonight ! As I'm using bone-in thighs and no stock, I thought I could brown them first in the clay pot to add some flavor, then take them out and follow the rest of the recipe normally (adding them to braise when you add yours raw). Do you think it's a good idea ? Oh and your clay pot is absolutely wonderful. It does make a difference compared to my dutch oven, I love it ! Congratulations on making such quality cookware Mandy
i'm gonna order the claypot because i need one and i think it looks really nice. i hope the quality is good because i like to buy things that last. thank you very much for the recipe and pot :)
This dish requires a lot of organization and planning to buy all the ingredients. I have never seen this type of rice noodle in an asian supermarket 3 parts rice , 1 part tapioca. I'll check it out next time.
Kimlan has been hard to get here 😭 it's my favorite soy sauce and the local Chinese market has been out of the dark for nearly a year and the only one that the store has rn is the hot paste
My husband and I caught covid, so I’m definitely going to use some of your tips to make homemade chicken soup! I don’t have all the ingredients, but all this does is show me that there is no one way to make chicken noodle soup

Is there any substitute for shrimp? There are allergies in my family
Amazing!!

Thank U .....
For how long should we soak the shitake and dried shrimps? In hot water, right?
Great video,
Taiwan is a real country 🇹🇼
Do you ever make a jianbing?? I would love to see how to duplicate ji rou jianbing.

Thank you for the soup recipe. I do have a question I can't eat mushrooms can I substitute another ingredient in its place
A Fan,
Jack.

@@SoupedUpRecipes thank you so much ❤️ always enjoy your recipes and warm personality
What makes it Taiwanese style? Using Taiwanese soy sauce and noodles?
If I switch to udon and Kikkoman it won't become Japanese style will it? 🤔
of course Mindy yours was perfect because it was done by love LOL
Oh yes!!! 🍜👍
Hmmm, gotta have that claypot!
Looks beautiful, but I can't stand mushrooms. Is there a good substitute or can I just leave them off?
you can just skip it.
Question... I always throw away the liquid of the Shiitake mushrooms because it looks dirty at the bottom. Can you really use the whole liquid?
yes, you can
If you substitute the chicken for seafood do you still recommend using store bot chicken broth?
both will work
Amazing I like it.
Easy recipes #cooking_pleasure
Do you use hot or cold water to soak the shiitake and shrimp?
rom temp
Does your homemade Taiwanese rice noodle enough for this recipe?
Yes it does!
It’s like the noodles are magnetically attracted to her mouth. Noodle skills.
well done.
I’m allergic to shellfish. Is there something I can use I. It’s place?
My son is also allergic to shellfish, would like to know answer to this ? too pls 🙂
I could eat soup.
Oh my God!
It looks like Japanese udon but this one looks better.
The biggest challenge for me won't be succeeding with this recipe. But learning how to use chopsticks.
I FK love those thic noodles
Can this be frozen? I like soup but this is too much for me alone.
Share the noodles 🍜
"Chicken thigh is more forgivable" is my favorite way to compare chicken breast vs chicken thigh.
Look at size of those noodles!
Rice noodle video right here... is not there.

SOUP MEANS SOUTH EAST ASIA 😅
CURRY AND BIRIYANI MEANS INDIA 🇮🇳😅🥰
It looks really tasty but I can't handle the appearance of the noodles
I think it would be nice to see your husband in your videos or at least one video
Amazon as of 25 May 2022 the date of this video states the clay pot is unavailable. Hopefully that changes in the very near future.
What country do you live in? We have inventory in the USA, CA, AU, UK, and Germany.
Those noodles look like worms.
I'm all for worms because I know how important they are but in a bowl, no.
Use real chicken stock cooked with real chicken bones is best.
