Nice video and good choice of colour. The folding pedal is more useful than it might appear - it makes the fold more efficient and helps when carrying.
Many thanks! I think I would invest in the folding pedal if I was taking it on trains or buses but I mainly bought it to throw in the back of the car and to take on planes with me. In which case I'd take the pedals off anyway.
I switched mine to MKS pedals with quick release after the folding ones that came with the bike worn out. I like it better because the folding one feel a little soft and can get damaged quite fast if you hit a sidewalk or the pavement (As a fixed gear rider 80%of the time I tend to forget to stop pedaling when I take roundabouts on the Brompton )
Can you tell us what you replaced the crappy pedals with? I just got my B75 a couple of days ago and want to make the same change. I also put a Brooks B-17 that I already owned on mine.
That's quite the full circle travel with a full size bike. I'm sure your next major trip will be awesome with the Brompton instead. I love your color choice. I have a M6L in Raw Lacquer and enjoying it immensely here in Vancouver.
Thanks! It was quite an ordeal, tried to sell the bike twice but couldn't bear to part with it. Had great fun bombing around Stanley Park though. Hope to get out to Vancouver again and the Brompton will be coming with.
Thanks, excellent vid. I was not very satisfied with your closure on the fiddly gear shift. I am seriously considering to buy this.... mauling all the way to Uganda due to undrivable commute traffic jam. So i really need to be sure, especially the reliability of the gear system given that i am very far from replacement parts..
Hi David, The gear shift and whole gear system is absolutely fine and should be incredibly reliable as Sturmey Archer has been making them for over 100 years. It's a very common hub. My only remarks relating to the gears was that the shifter rattles a bit which can be annoying. It works perfectly well though and I highly recommend the bike. I hope that helps.
My beloved B75 was stolen in London last Wednesday. I am devastated. I can already imagine it is now being sold somewhere, who knows where, to someone who is probably unaware of what happened. Please don't buy a bike if it doesn't have legitimate appurtenance/history documentation with clear registration plate (with frame number and serial number). You can check their status on websites for "Bike Register", "Immobilise", "Stolen Bikes", and "Bike Index". If the frame number/serial number are missing on the frame, or the bike is tagged as stolen online, please report it to the police. Together we may create a safer biking community.
Sorry to hear that. It's unfortunate that bike theft is so common now. Good call on checking those sites. Multiple locks too. I use 3 on mine. On main and two that go around the seat, back wheel and front.
The black B17 looks great. My B17 arrives this week. My spare is B17 tan, broken in. We will see how it looks. May go with a Cambrium in black. Who knows?
#ChrisbyBike got some much more narrow Wheels that are also taller so it reduced her heel strike and made the bike easier to roll while folded. ruclips.net/video/GBJotmM3e4o/видео.html
Thanks! TBH I've got used to the heel strike issue. It only happened a couple of times on my first ride. I might invest in some new wheels and a rear rack at some point though.
I bought the exact bike a month ago, and I love it. nice video
Many thanks! Glad you're enjoying it.
Mine is coming this week. Stoked! Already shopping upgrades 😬

After all the videos I have seen, that’s really informative and fun video , keep it up man 👍🏻
Thank you. Much appreciated 😊
Love my b75 also, switched out the crap pedals tho, just love the 3 speed enjoy yours !!
Thanks! Enjoying it already. Crap pedals aside.

@@scottknapp8984 hello i changed them for MKS Promenade detachable pedals, also have a H6L but like the lightness of the B75 more.

Great video mate. Just got 2 for me and the wife. Take them everywhere.
Great video, I'll share it on the FB B75 group.
Thanks Andrew! And thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
Great video, you need to make some more content
Lovely bit of squirrel 👍

@@radhaus4528 this is very helpful, thanks again
Definitely go with the 54t chain ring. It is great. Also consider upgrading to mks pedals.
Thanks. I'll make a decision on the ring at some point. Definitely need more top end speed. Good call on the MKS pedals.

I never leave mine locked anywhere. Bikes gets folded and part me….clients have got use to it and very supportive. Sad to hear about the theft.
Exciting just to see the new one coming out from the box.
And why is the river so green...
Maybe it's all of Central London's pee? 😁
@@ThatWasRad lol. You are funny.
Great video 👍
Thanks 👍

I just re-read this. Got my B75, gonna put a B17 on it, or a black Cambium. Too many Bs. 🤦♂️. Fun bike.
I kept getting those two mixed up too! The B17 saddle is a work of art. Mine needs breaking in a bit. 25 miles on it is a bit much for the 🍑!
People are just weirded out since I ride my Brompton side by side with the roadies.
Haha! Yeah that's satisfying. It's way quicker off the line too while they're still clipping in 😎
Hi does your B75 rear wheel more to the right side of the triangle tube ?
Hi, sorry I didn't reply to this. Every time I meant to my bike was elsewhere so I couldn't check! Mine doesn't seem to do that from what I can see.
Pop a couple of O rings over the gear levers…that should stop the rattle…👍👍👍
A nice high tech elastic band has the same effect. Good shout!
The loose catch is standard on ALL Brompton’s and is meant to be this way
Sorry t ask but by "catch" are you referring t the fiddly gear shift that he said?
@@DMulabiTalejan He's referring to the loose catch that releases the rear wheel for folding.
Congratulations on getting a b75
You are very tall person.. can tell from this video.
Does this brompton seatpost is tall enough to fit you...?
I'm only 5'10"! It fits me fine. Still room to go up further.
@@radhaus4528 5',10' is not short,
How tall are you?
I'm 5' 10". I think the camera angle makes me look taller!
