The Dairy Queen restaurant in Flint, Michigan is haunted. While I was using the restroom there, the lights flickered on and off and the roll of toilet paper unrolled right in front me. That experience literally scared the shit out of me...

Thanks for the warning. I think a lot of historic figures would be haunting Flint if they could; they are rolling over in their graves over what happened to Flint. I’ve heard stories about the Capitol Theater.
Had something happen like that in a Quality Dairy in Lansing. While standing next to the coffee machine I noticed some "really rough dudes" looking me over. I got a bad feeling and suddenly a cup standing by the coffee machine sled off the counter and hit the ground with a thud! Those guys saw this and decided to split ! I have to add my brother was murdered just a short distance from that QD. Maybe he was looking out for his little brother ? Thanks Chris !
Brother it’s flint. The whole city is haunted haha.. From the crazy amount of suicides, homicides, murders, accidental deaths like car wrecks and getting hit by a vehicle or over doses
Years ago when I was married I slept on my sofa and a full moon was out. I woke up feeling a presence standing next to me! It was a very handsome cowboy dressed in black with a cowboy hat on. We starred at each other and I wasn't afraid!! He had a look of remorse on his face and pure love like he knew me!! I went to visit my sister 300 miles away A few weeks later and I walked around looking at her flowers as she was getting me ice tea. She came out with the tea and started SCREAMING. She cried you will think I'm nuts but a man dressed in black who was very handsome and wore a cowboy hat put his arm around you as you walked side by side in my garden!! It freaked me out cause It was the same ghost I had seen I'm quite sure!! She saw him this time but I didnt

I was born in Grand Rapids Michigan back in 1968. I love ghost stories from my home state.
When a spirit voice asks for help, I would assume they need assistance to move on ( instead of being stuck where they are ). They may need assistance and guidance to find and go to " the light " to find their true spiritual home.
I have been in that ceneraty and its really creeeeeeepy at night !!!!

I spent so many nights at 7 Gables, no one ever screamed but us teens scaring each other lol. We did find the witches cottage and got stuck in the mud. It was a great place as kids to just wonder around and explore. I miss those days
Back in the 70’s, I was in grad school in Dublin, Ireland. I lived in a bed sit in a lovely old house. There was a ghost in my room. We all saw her. She was always sitting or standing, looking out the window. She wore a long dress. I thought she was watching, waiting for someone, maybe a husband or lover who died in WWI. She wasn’t scary at all. Sometimes things would be moved during the night. I went back last year. The house had been totally renovated and rooms were no longer rented out. The window was gone and the lady was gone too.

My fiance was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, back in 1986. He only lived there for 18 months until his father, being in the Navy, was relocated to Bremerton Washington. He's heard rumors that even St. Joseph is haunted.

I believe in ghost I have experienced it myself.
I was born and raised in Allegan. I have been through the old city jail, downstairs in the basement to the left is a wall, onetime that I was in the old jail I saw another room and a woman going through yet another room I followed her, she was wearing a long 1700s black dress, she was washing clothes in a big metal wash tub. When she saw me, she smiled and was gone. The upstairs in one of the rooms, I saw a prisoner with an evil look on his face.
I do have a 6th sense, I can see the ghost of the past. They are in solid form, and I can hear spirits of the past as well.
I am also an empath which helps, in the investigations. That I do the house I live in now in Dowagiac, Michigan is very haunted. I was awakened by somebody standing next to my window in my room and I happened to pull out my phone and I started recording because I didn’t have my digital recorder messing with me at the moment and the room was completely filled with orbs and my dog which I have a little Chihuahua was watching something around the room in her head was following it. I believe he’s in the attic.

As a michigander I always love hearing about the creepy stuff that's supposedly happens in the state.
But sadly I don't know if I can buy into any of this because I spend an awful lot of time in the woods by myself in remote areas and I've never seen anything creepy.. at least nothing that can't be explained rationally.
However it hasn't stopped me from trying to find them

I always hope to see something extraordinary.
When I lived in Gobles MI, I saw a huge 8' figure with orange glowing eyes standing in in my backyard about 15' from my study room window. I freaked out, shut the light off and peaked out the window but it was gone.

I live in australia and when i was in secondry school in the seventies and had a teacher mr severence who was from , Lansing, michigan and he use to tell us about how some places in Michigan were very haunted as most really old places are but even back then told us about that prison , but in light of americas problems in 2024 i believe a lot of these abandoned towns will regenerate with people exiting the violence in the cities where its easier to control all the strife cheers from Sydney.
I’ll bet the lighthouses have a lot of residual activity . If you’ve ever had the experience where you travel a distance so often that you experience doing it and not remembering doing it ? I have a theory , that those are the times. That the residual energy imprints on that space .
I think thats probably what haunts lighthouses . It’s such a solitary life .

I've never heard someone say "west Michigan" until recently. But I assume it's literally the west side of the state. Northern michigan is basically anything above Grand Rapids to the bridge, Grand Rapids and below is "downstate." The UP is the UP. I'm 29, lived here my whole life and the terminology has always been this way.
Petoskey is as northern michigan as it gets by the way. I just looked up Allegan on the map and yeah, that's west Michigan.

The only time I ever saw a ghost was when I lived in a historic resort right next to the Whitehall light. I had fallen asleep on the couch and when I woke up there was a man across the room. It is a spooky place., especially in the fall. The trees are huge and the wind has a highly unpredictable personality.

my family lived in a haunted house for a few years, until we found what the noisy ghosts were upset about.
I'll spare ya a very long story about the many times it spooked us. They were uneasy about water pipes and
the 2nd floor. Then my pop was working on the plumbing upstairs when he found a large copper pipe with
many old, silver half-dollar coins inside. That ended the hauntings.
I know hauntings can absolutely occur, but my scientific mind wants to deny it. Rationally, my family's

I lived in Pontiac Michigan for a while, in an old 1900 ara apartment building, located on Newberry St . My Wife, and five year old daughter were sleeping, and I was Woking up by my right leg in the air, and something was gripping my right, big toe, and it fell by the time I could be awake enough to focus . You know that audio illusions like the one you can hear both brainstorm and green needle that’s what ur hearing. There’s no voices or ghosts just people seeing and hearing what they want to. Everyone believes to some degree even atheists like myself I don’t believe in ghosts but I still get nervous in places that say there are ghosts at. Prove me wrong.
