Super thanks for putting your bike in the back! That's the main thing I've been wondering if I could do with the new X1, and no other reviewer I've seen has ever done that🎉😊
Of all the 2023 BMW X1 videos, this is one of the most informative, helpful and pleasant videos. Can you please tell me if the rear seats can slide forward and backward. I only found a Hong Kong video where this is possible, but none for the American version.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I do not believe the second row seats move fore/aft. No way to do it that I noticed, at least. I hope that helps.
Thank you! I have to be honest, I didn't use it much. But when I did, it sounded clean and full, with good amounts of bass. Hope that helps. I am also not the pickiest audiophile
i have the x1 for 6 days so far, the HK sound system I tried today to 9/10s, and there was no distortion, no break up...sounded clear... perhaps the only thing missing is really a subwoofer, the only bass speakers (2) are under the front driver and passenger seats as the 12 speaker system are 2 in each door (tweeter and midrange) and the final two are the tweeter and midrange in the front dashboard. Before getting the x1, i was contemplating getting a sound processor, but having listened to music these past 5 days, at the moment there is no need for improvement --- unless one just wants to improve any anyways...i
Did you experience the turbo lag that 'Savage Geese' channel experienced? There had not been any really negative press about the turbo lag until their review came out. I am awaiting my car being shipped from California to Oahu, HI... I ordered my MSport back on August 30th-- yes. August ! It stayed on the docks parking lot for about 2.5 months in Belgium from 11/7 to mid January--- then the driver air bag recall... which they just replaced a ffew days ago, and so my salesman is telling me the car is just in line awaiting its journey to Oahu. Enjoyed the video... Oh, one thing no other video excepts yours --- that from Drive to pressing the Park button before pressing the on/off button will put on the parking brakes. You mentioned that if you went straight from Drive to the on/off button, this will shut off the car but NOT put on the parking brake. So is your finding confirmed since no one else stated that? Overall, enjoyed your video !
Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes. I tested to make sure, if you turn the BMW X1 off directly from drive, that does not automatically engage the parking brake. Sounds like your X1 has a story to tell, quite the journey. And, no, I didn't experience any significant turbo lag at all. Though, the engine definitely responds differently to the different drive modes, I certainly noticed that.
@@viewsonvehicles thanks for the reply... you know, not one of the videos I have been looking at had explained it thoroughly like you did and test that the parking brake is activated. Most say no matter which button you press, it will shut off the engine---but did not specifically say if the parking brake was indeed activated. I really hope my x1 does *not* have a story to tell as to why it has taken so long, as I found out another customer from the same dealership here on Oahu ordered his during the 3rd week of September and rec'd his MSport in the 3rd week of January, and that his car was loaded up from a port in Germany (whereas my car was loaded from Zeebrugge, Belgium) ? I don't know if something fishy took place as to the long delay, or what...
@@viewsonvehicles Hi, Robin I got my x1 today !!! Salesman went over the fields and important sub-fields, and come to find out there is a check off field that will 'activate the parking brake' if you just press the on/off start button, and i've tested this over and over, and it works and does put the parking brake on without having to press the parking brake button. I have so much to learn ! Boy, does this car has grunt off the line! I coming off a 2017 Mazda 3 2.5 n/a liter engine automatic... i just kept saying 'whoa' and laughing to myself as I drove home from the dealership! Less than one day and I am loving it... the cape york green (which looks like crap in pictures) look spectacular as it changes depending on sunlight... I saw it being detailed before being released to me, and it was a blue/gray color, and then parts of the sun hit the car, then I saw the cape york green ! Gotta thank my brother for telling me to choose a different color from the regular blue, white, or grays !

Really glad to hear its helpful. I wanted a real world item to judge the space and the road bike was my first thought.
Beautiful ❤
Hoping to own this as a first car one day 🔥
12:45 The armrest actually opens, the button is right in front of the armrest.
Interesting, I thought I tried that. Thank you for the heads up. Hopefully I'll get an X1 M Sport to review sometime and I can try again.
You can have dynamic suspension on the X1 as well. Difference of night and day....
Yeah, if you go with the MSport, which I mention in the beginning. I'm sure it helps a lot.

This is a great review. I subscribed. On my radar for a possible replacement for my comparably priced Toyota Venza Limited. 😊
Thank you so much!
My local dealer lists online prices for all models in stock, except the X1. The dreaded, “call for price”
How was the upgraded sound system? Good review! Getting one in June…

I just don’t know why car manufacturers can’t manage to keep their small cars small.

@@hawaiiguy1 Ahh, super interesting detail. Thank you for letting me know. BMW is a fun car, hope it keeps you smiling!
Is this a better value than the x3?
I wouldn't say better value, no. They are two very different vehicles. That said, I'd probably want this as a city car more than the X3.
