I’m not sure about the ground strap underneath the head bolt. Will you still get proper torque ? What about using the head bolt in front of the one you used that has a stud on it ?
i think you`re right. i believe that`s where it is on my car. Also you don`t want to loosen the head bolts if possible and you`ll eventually need to replace a battery cable.
The ground from battery to engine goes to the head bolt with the stud which is just to the right of where you connected it. Ground ring does not go under the head bolt. Look at 2.41 on the far right of the screen.
@@ArrowheadGarage thanks Brian ! I ordered a Griffin Radiator from Summit ready to put in and picked up a shroud today at Lutty’s Chevy Warehouse near Pittsburgh . I appreciate your help. Thanks

Yep that is a better place to attach that cable, the few black and white scans of photos seem to show it going to the head bolt. Good eye guys!
@@ArrowheadGarage That will cost you one orange Mountain Dew. lol
I have my negative cable grounded like that. Have no problems front of head bolt

Hi Brian
Did you add a fan shroud for your radiator ? If so do you recall what type of shroud .
Yes I ordered one from FirebirdCentral if I recall, I had to modify it to fit the cheap Amazon radiator... but its working!

Are the same on a 1977 Grand Prix headlights are going crazy
You got that right, Grounding is important.
No more smoking wires! lol thanks for watching
Why not ground on the stud you already have in stead of head bolt put a nut on it with star washer for ground.
The treads are messed up, it was a used engine pulled from a wreck.
Will these grounding locations work on my 1990 chevy K1500 350 small block engine ?
They should, you're just tying everything together frame to body, body to motor, motor to battery. Thanks for watching
When I was young...I was always Grounded,BUT you can't keep a Young Buck down.
Great job brother looking good 👍
Lou thanks for watching brother!
shouldn't the engine block be directly grounded to the frame also ?
What part on ground from battery to frame go to
Run the ground from battery to a bolt on the block...
I was grounded as a child for being negative🤣
Someone understands my struggle in life lol thanks for watching!
For the ground strap on the back of the head, do you know what size bolt that is? Mine doesn’t have it and I don’t know which bolt to buy 🤦🏽♂️
I sure don't, best advice is pick up a cheap nut and bolt kit from Harbor Freight to get the right size,
how about a 2nd gen?
Same thing places... the key are to ground the battery to the motor and subframe and the motor and the body together.
Super Tex your 'grounded ''
Great job Brian!
Glad you enjoyed it
I’ve always liked the Firebirds
Thanks Bubba, am still getting my had wrapped around Standard sizes and not MM's lol
I know that’s right, my truck is mixed.. aggravating 😃😃
