To all those who worked on this incredible short film: There was a guy I've known since the 1970s and he was a master story teller and a great side kick to have along when country car searching back throughout the 80s. You've captured his spirit in the art of American car lore, suspense and intrigue. Tragically, my friend who was beloved by many many people, died unexpectedly only a week ago. How your film, which I know he would have enjoyed immensely, mysteriously showed up on my YT screen...I'll just say, perhaps all Phantoms aren't too bad. Please, keep sharing your talents and most importantly...enjoy the ride while you're doing what you obviously love to do.

Maybe few people in town or county helped cover for the car or cars driver. And dumped other vehicle in another county. a spooky story was made up to cover for the street racing. As a lifelong Trans am fanatic, and owner of numerous different year T/A's this was fantastic. People forget how popular these cars were. I remember growing up they were everywhere on tv and movies and in real life. Im currently restoring a 1981 T top trans am and they still mean as much to me now at 51,as they did at 8 or 9 yrs old watching Smokey and the bandit and Hooper .
In 77 I was 9 too! Such a great time. Always wanted a TA. Those movies had me and my friends building ramps to jump with our bikes and jumping off roofs. As well as other "stunts" that made moms freak. Great short film!!
It used to be WAY more common. You would drive by an old house even in the middle of the city, and there would ALWAYS be an old car in the back, barely visible... Many times you could buy that car for pennies. Then the late 80's and 90's came along, and the Cash For Klunkers thing started. All those old cars seemed to vanish in less than five years. Now you drive by an old run down house, and you see a 1992 Buick LeSabre rusting away in the back, lol. What you get now are completely ragged out rusted junk cars for $10,000. The flippers have taken over EVERYTHING. No more deals, for anyone, ever. You have got to be VERY LUCKY, to find a complete old car in a barn now.
This doesn't have the feel of a short story, rather the feel of a feature or a pilot for a series. The cinematography is stunning. The camera angles for each shot work so well in telling the story while keeping you guessing of what's next to come. Excellent work guys! Keep it up!
There was no *conclusion. An incomplete story is still a story. In this case, the omissions you've cited are what make it seem like a pilot because it makes you want to know more.
I'm hooked, and I need more of this story. I grew up around 2nd gen F-Bodies and I have a soft spot for them. I once stumbled across a Mayan Red 1979 Trans Am non-T-Top with a 400 that had been sitting in a garage for over twenty years. My buddy inherited the house from his father in law, and the garage was full of junk. They were cleaning it out and told me they found a car in there. I stopped by the house, and although they didn't know much about the car, I knew exactly what it was. It only had 40,000 miles and was last registered in 1989. I poured all over the car and was in awe of how original it was. It ended up going to my buddy's brother in law. He had it tuned up and drives it on occasion. I wish I could have had the chance to buy it, because it was probably the sweetest car I will ever find.

I always loved how them Smokey and the bandit movies tried to make them late 70's Trans Ams look like they could outrun an F16. Bun unfortunately them thing's was slow as my grandfather leaving Shoney's after the lunch buffet on a Sunday after leaving church🤣
@@Roger-fs5yo True until you de-EPA'd them haha. None i knew including those in my family left them stock. We put custom exhausts on them first thing and those smog components were tossed to the wind. We were able to get them respectable but they did suffer from low compression designs thanks to the EPA and Detroit. That part about your grandfather had me falling in the floor lol x 1000!!
@@Roger-fs5yo I'll agree to a point. I dated a girl that had a Martinique Blue 1978 T/A 6.6 Trans Am. T/A 6.6 on the hood scoop designated the last true Pontiac 400 engine. It's related to the earlier 400 just watered down a bit. Talked her into a little modification.. head swap, early 400 cam and carb and better exhaust...lets just say ,it looked like a '78 but it ran more like a '70. Pontiac stuck around with the muscle car vibe after the other manufacturers had bowed out. i had chills the whole time. hope to see this made into a full length feature!
Yes please Finish this movie, this is the best production I've seen Hollywood has nothing on u guys, Great job 👍
Just want to say to everyone involved a big thanks, love shorts like this even with a few flaws along the way it was well done.
Keep up the passion for things you love or u loose it
The youtube algorithm has blessed me today. This film, this goddamn film. It's SO good.
I would love to see a full 1+hour production of this, and I would pay loads to see it. It was absolutely exhilarating and I just want more.
brilliant work my guy
Wow my friend. MUCH appreciated. That's an amazing compliment. We're gonna try and make it happen!

You got 2/3 of the way there, why did you run the campaign so short?
Damn....my first car was a 1978 Trans Am and this brought back a lot of memories. Good job on the film, it's only about ten times better than what you see on network TV these days!! Looking forward to more of your work.
You've inspired us to make it happen.... kck.st/4235iPB
I always loved how them Smokey and the bandit movies tried to make them late 70's Trans Ams look like they could outrun an F16. Bun unfortunately them thing's was slow as my grandfather leaving Shoney's after the lunch buffet on a Sunday after leaving church🤣
I would love to see this be a movie. Its so thrill catching at the end
A little bit of Christine and a little bit of Back to the Future. Can't wait for the next instalment.
That Trans Am was a killer at the Steak-N-Shake on Friday/Saturday nights....always wanted to recreate that badass ride... now to keep the weird going...my name is Roger too....
This was great! You should make this into a series. I had an 81 Firebird that was awesome.
That was awsom! Gotta be movie done on that 🦅
That was fun...what goes around comes around
This was by far the best short film I’ve seen. Please let there be a part 2 for this
You did a great job, a fan of Dukes of Hazard, Vanishing Point , Bullitt, Smokey and the Bandit, it's got that simple old school flare, you might be the guy that actually knows how to make car movies ,something no one's tapped into ,it a big market ready for you to take it, definite big movie bones here, I'm an old car buff , I have a 79 Z28, brother put the pedal to the floor, you got this!
Got to comment again, it's got that" My science project" flare. All us older guys watching just a few car movies picking up true muscle cars, you got a market , it's been waiting for you.......millions of us gear heads, thanks
@@jasongentle8055 Ah man that means a lot! Really appreciate it. I agree the car community could use some better movies, especially muscle cars specifically. Im on it!!
Christine too!
Don't forget The Wraith!
Dirty Mary Crazy Larry
at the end when it revealed the truck, my jaw just about hit the floor!! What a good twist! 👏 Bravo!
I wish my Dad was still here to see this Film. Thanks, it was Great.
That was beyond COOL and So well done! Your passion for film and for that beautiful car is captured so perfectly. Can't WAIT for part 2!
Excellent job! This is the first movie related thing that's had my attention in a LONG TIME! Hope to see more like this.
