Red-Eyes desperately needs help
If we want Red-Eyes to be viable we'd need an entire structure deck of support, each of them having Endymion levels of text.

I assume the equip effect from Prayers with Eyes of Blue is to help facilitate fusions who need Ultimate Dragon as material.
It does that, it also turns any blue eyes white dragon into tyrant which is actually a good boardbreaker since it is about the same size as borrelend and can attack everything.
Also you can just equip neo blue eyes ultimate which is a negate for anything that targets a blue eyes card while it is in the gy

It can help you turbo out dragon master magia technically since Ultimate fusion needs cards from the gy and field to use it

I quickly went from laughing at Blue-Eyes to look foward to play the deck, this is such a good wave of support

@@FrostReaveI saw someone using the new support in a modded version of master duel and it looks pretty damn good. Obviously it isn’t going to break the meta and make it tier 1 over night, but it definitely allows them to have a fighting chance. Of course if you don’t brick instantly, still a problem there 😂

Going 2nd. You have spirit dragon in field, you wait for it to tribute off to summon new ultimate guy, you called by that spirit dragon.
Other use for when blue eyes goes 2nd is to called by the maiden, and thus you don't get true light onto the field
And no, honestly this is the best thing blue eyes has. There's a generic rnk 8 pool, but you've already commited a fair bit of resources to get this line done. Youd have 3 cards left in hand

Prayers' second effect gets an Ultimate Dragon in the GY for Ultimate Fusion to make Magia and/or can make Tyrant Dragon. Looking forward to see how good the other 4 new cards will be
Prayers alone is nuts if it goes off. Alone, it gets:
- New Maiden and Saga
- Maiden activates True Light
- Saga summons Blue Eyes which summons Maiden back
- Prayers banish in grave to equip Ultimate Dragon to Blue Eyes
- Synchro for Spirit Dragon
- True Light still open to either resummon the Blue Eyes (for another Spirit Dragon basically, if you opened a level 1 tuner like Sage or a Stone) or to set any Blue Eyes support from deck except Saga which is still in grave. So anything from Ultimate Creature to Bingo Machine to Ultimate Fusion to another Prayers since it's not in grave anymore (due to True Light's restriction)

I think it would have been really funny if they made the new Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon they did what they did with the first one and made it designed specifically to beat all the current meta decks

@@blastmole299 because people with a passing interest in Yu-Gi-Oh have never heard of those cards before. People who like the anime and more casual players will see new blue eyes cards and go for them immediately, especially if it becomes a structure deck.
I could see M"A"lice be a poker deck. Where you contact fusion from hand by discarding the right combinations (9 extra decks monsters for each hand rank) and have a R-Ace feild spell that shuffles them from banishment and/or grave into the deck.

The original intention of Shining was to have a card that could outclass the God Cards in the movie (it didn't), which for some strange reason seemed to be the concept of a BEUD card with effect protection (it wasn't). Ok, so let's say they acknowledge it didn't and wasn't: haven't we already been getting that with basically every wave of Blue-Eyes support? What could or should the Shining retrain even try to do that hasn't already been done both in appearance and effect??
If they retrain it, you wouldn't even be able to use the original card, and if they add support, you probably wouldn't use it's actual effect because it has always been nearly useless since the first set having removal cards that don't target.
If they made a common throw away card that is called "Blue-Eyes New Shining Dragon" with the same effect but slightly easier to summon, what would you think?

If I wanted a new monster, I'd want another tuner monster that makes summoning Ultimate Spirit properly easier

@@blastmole299you use the OG spirit to summon it and Magia Master if it’s removed by an opponents card. I think that’s the better way to summon it and if you end on double Spirit you can use both their effects to summon the new one and Azure to prevent the Pop.

Rush has really come into its own in the past like year or so. Its super fun and feels like a different take on "modern" yugioh, just without all the things that make yugioh a frustrating game to play.
true light has a outright bizzare clause that you can only search cards you dont control and that arent in your dy, so prayers being able to banish prayers lets you potentially search for more prayers on later turns PLUS you can put neo blue-eyes ultimate dragon in gy with it to go into tyrant and get targeting protection. is it worth the extra deck space? i have no idea probably not. but thats probably what theyre trying

@@justinsteinberg8177 Not really, blue eyes is actually fairly limited in what they can access vs what they will actually want to summon with their resources. Also you are undervaluing how good tyrant is, it is actually quite a strong board breaker that you get to access for free while dumping an omni.
Maybe if the deck was designed for more rank 8 options, but you would have to splash horus or something to make that happen (which i dont think is the play, you just want to hit the strong 1 card combos consistently)
@@justinsteinberg8177tyrant is good, dont under estimate it. It can attack all opponents, and can spam reseruct traps like imperm. It was super broken when skill drain was at 3 since skill drian doesnt affect it. Neo is good to protect cards and ultimate spirit can float into it when it is popped

I hope the pause (or end) on speed duel means that konami is FINALLY giving us western rush duels. My main concern though is that people will brush it off as the “childish version” of yugioh and “oh it’s not DM therefore I don’t want it”
My main concern is that Konami is gonna price it like they do normal TCG and then it flops extremely hard when nobody buys it because on top of brushing it off as "yugioh for children" or "not real yugioh", it costs the same as Snake-Eye or Fiendsmith and people are already dropping off normal TCG because they can't afford those.
Ironically, the people who bitch that its not DM are the very people who should play Rush, because the DM nostalgia support in it is way better than anything in the normal TCG.

Rush duel beating vanguard and digimon is hilarious once you remember those were two cards games reddit and twitter doomers believed were going to”kill” or “replace” yugioh when they came out, so for me the fact that in 2023 not one but TWO yugiohs managed to outperform them is quite funny, not saying they are bad or anything but it shows just because you like something that doesn’t means it will be popular and just because you dislike something it means it’s dead.
None of these card games measure up to the real goat of TCGs, Buddyfight.

To be fair Digimon was sacrificied for One Piece. Still impressive it was beaten out but it had a lot less support in general such as few tournaments or reasons to get super into it casually wither

Actually, that last effect of Saga isn't just Tyrant support. It's also a way to cheese out Dragon Master Magia. You equip your level 8 Blue-Eyes with BEUD, use that Blue-Eyes with your level 1 tuner to get BESD, and now that BEUD is in the graveyard, that sets you up to use Ultimate Fusion to send BEUD and a Chaos Ritual monster (like the in-archertype Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon) back into the decks to make Dragon Master Magia.
Give anything enough busted support and I guess eventually it'll be playable.
It worked with Blue-Eyes eight years ago, surely it'll work again now.

Yes, the "equip a Blue-Eyes White Dragon with an extra deck monster to make it gain 400 ATK" from Prayers with Eyes of Blue is for the alternative summoning condition for Blue-Eyes Tyrant Dragon... sort of like Blue-Eyes Twin Burst Dragon's alternative summoning condition. But people are also correct in that it is an excellent condition to get Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to your graveyard to summon the likes of Dragon Master Magia (you can also get Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to your graveyard for targeting protection if you'd also like).

So Raizeol has a generic Rank 4 that searches two cards, several starters that are also extenders (with one of them even chainblocking itself and negating a card going second), and locks you into the most extensive Xyz toolbox only after you use their effects and not before...
And somehow it's outdated and only playable "if you ban all the good archetypes"? Obviously it's not Snake-Eye levels of good, but the individual cards are incredibly powerful and have a lot of potential depending on the unrevealed spell, Rank 4 payoffs, supplementary engines, etc.
This is why you never go to MBT for an assessment of prerelease YGO cards.

The best rank 4s in the game are Dweller, Drident, Bagooska, and like Redoer. They can't turbo out Rhongobongo or S0 like they used to, the toolbox is too fair nowadays
I just realized this just now, but I'm starting to see a pattern of decks appearing in the Konami short animation getting new support immediately after. First we have new Six Samurai support, then now it's new Blue-Eyes support, and both decks appeared in that short animation.
If we base on this conspiracy, the next ones to receive support would be Melffy, Albaz lore decks and Solfachord,...
Does Albaz need more support though? Like damn, branded is already great enough, giving them more fire power would just be overkill

You know what as much as I liked the fact you are glad for this support .. you are the type of player that will see how it goes in the next couple of months and then all of sudden consider all of this trash .. just because it can't work or compete anymore against other stuff in meta. Instead of trying to make it work. I'm looking forward to this set and improving my blue-eyes deck but I still like it whether or not players find it good or not.

Making my predictions on the last 4 blue-eyes cards:
1. Retrain of Mausoleum. Instead of an extra NS, it protects ur synchros from being popped by Spirit Dragon in the ep or smth.
2. 2nd extra deck monster. Hoping for a Link monster, but more or less it’s gonna be a Fusion (1 “Blue-Eyes” monster + 1 Light Spellcaster) or something idk
3. A new lv 1 LIGHT Tuner or a new Lv 8 Blue-Eyes retrain. Hoping for a Dragon Spirit of White retrain where it’s faster and better than the original.
4. A trap card that probably allows you to Synchro Summon during the opp’s turn

[Normal Trap]
Target 1 LIGHT level 1 Tuner monster in your GY; Special Summon it, then if you control “Blue-Eyes White Dragon”, you can Synchro Summon 1 LIGHT Dragon Synchro monster from your extra deck, using monsters you control as material, including 1 “Blue-Eyes” monster. You can only use this effect of “Dragon Spirit Reborn” once per turn.

Dude, final fantasy tcg is a small success here in the US but has major traction in the EU and Asia. If I could describe it’s gameplay, I’d say it’s like a mix of Edison Yugioh with MTG. Like many TCGs some cards look meh aesthetically but many, espcecially Full-Arts are freakin GORGEOUS!
Actually ended up buying some packs recently of this to try and pull some characters I like and one thing that took me by surprise was the card quality. I'd say it far exceeds anything I know.

I think we’re underestimating the power of Dweller here, especially into the current meta.
Has it been present? No. But that’s because of a lack of decks in the meta can even make rank 4s.
Consider: Dweller shuts you off from Poplar’s GY effect, Flamberge’s GY effect, OSS GY effect, no draw from Wanted, no Engraver summon, Lurrie is just a dead card, no Prom Princess or Raging Phoenix effect.
Even with Hiita being a given, what can you even do if you don’t have an answer for dweller? You can hardly make an endboard uninterrupted, much less try to break a board through several disruptions.
That said, these cards will probably eat shit going second, which is a genuine concern with these cards. But your argument of “normal Snash and win going second” is comically bad.
Anime Decks should be Rogue to Tier 2 at best. I’m glad Konami is finally giving these archetypes some respect and giving them the support they deserve. They’re the reason why we started playing the game in the first place, at least for most of us. Please do the same for Dark Magician.

I think an issue with how they’re printing cards is a lot of the decks there isn’t an answer to the question, “in the mirror match how does the deck beat itself.”
Typically, the answer has been, it doesn’t and that’s a huge issue.

The real problem with Speed Duel is that Duel Links did basically the same thing but more sucessfully

Yeah, this is honestly really good, and we have 4 cards left, I think if the deck just gets more NS monsters, then they have the chance to be really good
Rush Duel being in the top 10 isn't really a huge indicator of anything. The gap between the 5th (Weiss) and 6th (MTG) place slots was 8.6 billion yen, close to 3 times the amount of money Rush Duel made that year in total. And Weiss made only half of what 4th (One Piece) did. Rush Duel remains a largely niche product compared to the OCG and to card games in Japan in genral.
I feel like Spirit Ultimate should've been a Level 11 instead of a 12. Would've taken 3 Tuners for the 3 heads using a normal Blue-Eyes, or it could've met the bare minimum condition of 2 Tuners using Spirit Dragon (as opposed to now where said bare minimum condition can only be met using Twin Burst)
Doesn't change a lot since the majority of the time it'll be brought out using Spirit Dragon's effect, but it just would've made more sense from a design perspective IMO. It also has weaker stats than the other Ultimate Dragons, so having a lower level would also fit in that regard
Dark Magician needs help so a much of other decks can abuse their support more than the actual Dark Magician cards can.

It lets you get Extra deck monsters in your graveyard without having to summon them. Thats huge in some cases

I mean, anything that loses to balerdroch turbo probably isn’t going to see a ton of tiered play, but this is a much better direction for blue-eyes. I was mildly worried they would abandon the synchro side of the deck in favor of more fusions.
Alright so I know the FF thing was a joke but I gotta shill anyway.
FFTCG is freaking amazing. It’s basically if you went in a lab, took all the good things Magic has and tried to distill them into a product that also fixes Magic’s problems. And its design team has a bunch of former Magic pros. It’s like… imagine if your lands all did something. And also every card in hand is also Dark Ritual for its color. It’s so good - just some of the most skill intensive gameplay and decision making.
Blue eyes is definitely the most loved out the 3 ogs by Konami

I like Rush Dual more than I like normal YGO, but the only way we have to play is the really bad app that cost an arm and a lag, with a ban list that sucks. I really hope we get it in paper as I know may people who like the idea of it that dont even play YGO

Something to note. The structure deck has 50 cards. That means 10 cards in the extra deck. We could be looking at 3 of the remaining 4 new cards being extra deck cards.
Is the 10 extra deck always a standard for structure decks? I was hoping for a lvl 3 tuner so we can summon ultimate spirit normally since Im sick of it popping itself due to spirits lvl 9s effect. Also hoping that lvl 3 tuner can search a chaos monster

I feel like we haven't had a good/strong/meta XYZ deck since Zoodiac. We've had a number of decks that happen to make an Xyz or two while going through their combo, Salad and Drytron and Mathmech come to mind, but no decks where Xyz is the primary focus has done anything. All of the other summoning mechanics have had their time in the sun as of late, but Xyz just can't seem to play with the other mechanics anymore.

Ive been playing a build of blue eyes with prosperity since it doesnt actually clash with any of the engine, and yoi have 9 1 card calamity lock starters (3 bingo, 3 sage and 3 prayers all get you there) along with a lot of non engine and crossout to insulate the combo. I need to tweak the ratios a bit more but testing has been promising already, and with 4 more cards on the way if any of them are another 1 card combo this deck will be pretty good

I'm glad DM era decks are getting playable support. But I can't believe they're giving Blue-Eyes playable cards before Dark Magician even though BE took worlds while DM has never been relevant.

Blue eyes needs way to recover because if your end board is wiped out.. with the resources just used it's gonna be annoying
wouldnt uka be good against fiendsmith? you know, that card that were used like sometimes during halq was legal? after all, requiem summon from the deck and now since the new fiendsmith has same atk and def, you can use it to dump engraver and then link it off to requiem next turn.

how are we actually making the level 12 synchro boss monster though? Unless they are throwing a level 3 tuner in the structure that hasn't been revealed yet the entire archetype is made of level 1 tuners and last time I checked there's no level 10 blue eyes monsters to pair 2 level 1 tuners with
