      Was literally thinking of False Swipe the entire time watching this vid. I think Pokemon is an easier game to make this type of video but you can get a lot of mileage for doing it for decks that have been meta game main stays in a similar fashion to how the first FSG vids were. I'd kill for a vid like this one Dragon Link, Tearlaments, Phantom Knight, Fluffal, etc.

    In 2014 I was playing Dragon Rulers with Soul Charge, 3 Cards of Consonance, 3 Trade-In and a full set of White Stone and Blue-Eyes. I loved this deck. I roll up to locals and one of my opponents hits me with Mausoleum of the Emperor plus Archlord Kristya.
    I'm using all of my cards to dig through my deck to find Book of Moon. I never find it, but then I see a Blue-Eyes staring back at me. I pay 2000 LP, normal summon it and attack over Kristya to unlock the rest of my hand and graveyard full of dragons.

    In modern Edison Blue-Eyes and White Stone are played in Dragon lists as a draw engine with Trade-in and Cards of Consonance

  • @ElusiveMirror
    @ElusiveMirror 4 месяца назад +146

    While historically it may not be the case, the increased interest and exploration of retro formats has shown that Blue-Eyes in formats prior to 2013 is meta relevant. The best example is probably Dragon Turbo in Edison that uses both White Stone of Legend and the og Blue-Eyes, by many considered one of the top tier decks, with tournament results to back it up.

    Everyone knows Yugi/Kaiba format as the time when Summoned Skull was Tier 0, but the fact of the matter is that it's called Yugi/KAIBA for a reason. There are a handful of other decks worth playing at this time, with the second most prevalent deck being a combo deck that focused on using Lord of D. to summon multiple Dragons from hand - most notably, the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

    Not gonna lie, after seeing the title I was expecting a 25-second video.

    Dope video.
    Can’t believe I just started playing duel masters as it got addictive quick but haven’t touched a card in almost 20yrs. Now I’m losing all my matches with Exodia/gods in my deck to xyz, link, and synchros aaaand pendulums. smh 😅

    It must be added that blue eyes is quite good now in edison format with the rise of dragon turbo (most hated deck of the format with stun, gravekeeper, chain burn and for some reason I disagree with gladiator beast) in which he is a key piece (discard target for trade-in, high level, high attack dragon monster able to be revived by redmd, searchable with white stone).

    Forgot to mention how Kozmo took Blue Eyes Out back and put it out of its misery, then after 1 YCS Konami decided that wasnt ok and banned the big ship (forgetting the name but its the one that pops a monster)

    I hope you do a part 2 if the new cards at least help blue eyes become a respectable rogue deck

    Honorable mention to the edison fellows who figured out dragon turbo drawing 10+ cards at end phase was a thing, which heavily relies in discarding white stone for blue eyes, then trade in blue eyes

    I remember when I got back into yugioh blue eyes used to be good competitively and I had trouble getting over chaos max. Also I learned the horror of mr4 zones and my first thought was "why can't I summon" while I used a 2010 boomer synchro deck.
