We must pray and constantly pray without ceasing and pray for our Pastors, Most importantly too the Pastors need to have people to whom they are accountable to and overseeing their Spiritual well-being. Dr Steven Lawson made such a great impact in my life and seeing such a great fall griefs me big but i know as long as One is still alive there is hope. Pray for the Church, for the woman, for the wife of Lawson and Children, pray for the Ministers and we as the body of Christ lets pray for One another not forgetting that God is Sovereign and He is in absolute control and will take care of His Church
The New Testament says that an elder (of which a Pastor is one type) must be blameless from those without. Those without are non-believers. Steven Lawson is certainly not blameless. Any Pastor who has done what Steven Lawson did is NEVER eligible to a Pastor ever again. Once would be bad enough, but a relationship for 5 years shows an EXTREME lack of repentance. This is on the level of Ravi Zacharias.
We can not say this, and not look inward. He says he knows him🤔…One of the biggest things in Pauls teaching is the compassion, respect and guidance for each other, as brothers - so we do not fall! My point is…visit brothers, talk difficult talks, invite people home, sing together…be there for each other, and not only on the pulpit.
I can not even explain this. I was watching Steve about a month ago. I thought " i bet he is stepping out on his wife". I immediately felt ashamed for that thought. I sometimes am critical of people ( I am working on that). It was just something about the look in his eyes. I don't know. I am shocked that I was correct. I am praying for him, his family and everyone involved
The local body is the one grieving the most. I was once under a pastor who stole from the church, not once but twice. He was confronted by the youth pastor, but refused to repent in front of the congregation. He lost the greater number of the congregants, as many refused to submit under a pastor who sinned but was also unrepentant. Was worse is that he also didn't remove himself from the seat of pastoring, he just took what members he had left in his local body to a different building. I was in my early 20's when this occurred, 3-4 years in the faith and growing. There was a lack of discernment from my part, until others explained to me with scripture how grave it was. Now I can truly understand how grave his and his family's sin really was. His wife knew what he was doing, and she didn't see anything wrong with the lack of transparency with the church leaders. Here and there I would pray for them and hope that they have repented, and could be restored by God. Haven't seen them in years, but the sting of their sin is still very much present. Surely we all fall short of the glory of God, we are all flesh and bone. Are we to excuse our sin, or our exposing of temptation because of that? By no means , as Paul stated consistently to the Romans and the Corinthians. Pray that you don't fall, humble yourself and seek accountability. When temptations crawls into your heart, run and seek someone in the faith that you trust. A man without self control, is like a kingdom without walls (says the Proverbs). Do not be like that kingdom where the enemy can walk right into, and with due time corrupt and destroy what was built and strengthen with time. Sin will destroy that which took years to built, in a manner of seconds. Be wary and be fervent in prayer, take courage in the midst of vulnerability. Speak before the fall, or be silenced in guilt and shame.
Amen! May we be accountable and always run to Christ, I believe your testimony here will encourage those who read it. God bless you and watch over you and keep you
Let’s really focus also I’m praying for his poor wife, my gosh Wood that poor woman is going through everything‘s about Stephen Stephen Stephen he cheated on his wife
Matthew 18:12-14 is the parable of the lost sheep that Jesus told the pagans, tax collectors, and religious leaders alike….to us, it wouldn’t seem that big of deal to leave 99 sheep alone but to shepherds in those days, especially? It was a HUGE deal! And for ONLY, 1! Keep that in mind… Matthew 18:15-19 Church discipline. I use to think of this scripture in a pretty dogmatic manner but in context I see it in a whole new way. Yes, we should have order as our Father in Heaven is truly Holy. But His Kingdoms pillars are on a foundation of Love. That is why He left the 99 to get the Lost lamb. And that is why, we are to treat the unrepentant church member( the body of Christ) like a lost lamb. Matthew 18: 21-33 (21-22) Forgiveness How can we not forgive when we ourselves have been given so great a salvation? Lavished in His Grace alone, through Faith alone, because of Christ alone! “Be angry, and do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil”! Ephesians 4:26 Now, go fetch that one sheep, so that all may rejoice!!! ♥️🙏🕊️

we must lean and obey God's command as he works in us, we must become more like him each day and be accountable . Sanctification is a part of believer's life
@@godfreymiguelopk And allow me, with your permission, please, to refer to what is the basis of the true believer: Check whether we are in the Faith of Jesus Christ, because being in Christ is the basis of our security on this earth and in eternity.. Ironically, Dr. Steven J. Lawson, a married 73 year old Calvinist preacher, and founder of One Passion ministries, also had an additional Secret Passion : he was secretly having an inappropriate relationship with a 20 something year old woman, for the last 5 years, until her father finally confronted him, and ultimately threatened to expose him unless he exposed himself, every detail of which, according to his nefarious philosophy, was already meticulously decreed before time ever began, thus giving a whole new philosophical twist to the infamous old phrase "bad grandpa"...
we should be watchful and draw closer to God through his word and pray for the saints and also praying for those in sin for salvation and trusting that God knows what is best for us and He is in absolute control, We should grieve and get broken for our sin and turn to Christ whom his grace will help in time of need . God is faithful so lets obey his command!

The Lord is at hand and in absolute control. Trust in Him
It is so grievous but we have to take heart and be watchful less we fall
