My mom is Mexican and we used this exactly salsa (mins the lime) for chicken tamales every Christmas, but she always says not to over cook the tomatillos. 🤷🏻♀️

Delicioso! Making the tomatillo salsa reminded me of my mother and grandmother. My grandmother used a molcajete, which is a stone bowl with a stone, to grind all the ingredients. She was very traditional. Great recipe!
Typically, jalapeño is milder than serrano. The flavor is also different. Jalapeños have a bit of sweetness. Serrano is more peppery tasting. Hope that made sense!

Replace the stove top grill with a charcoal grill encompassing carbon de mesquite and thin cut chuck instead of flank steak. Now we’re on the right path for carne asada.
I'm sorry but this isn't carne asada, this is carne a la plancha, maybe No grill = No carne asada You don't need to marinate carne asada either, also, lacking the salsa bandera, salsa tatemada, and a lot, honestly These seem like good tacos, but this ain't carne asada
