We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️ Развлечения
1 head of cilantro, chopped fine
3 large cloves of garlic, minced
1 Tbsp of cumin
1 tsp of pepper
1 tsp of salt
1/2 cup of olive oil
Handful of brown sugar
1 lime, zest and juice
2 Tbsp of soy sauce
Marinade 1 to 4 hours
We've made this and burst into tears coz of how good it was, its like there was a party in my mouth and everyone's invited!
Is brown sugar normal for this style of meat? I feel like I'm doing something very wrong adding sugar to meat.
@@PanupatChong It balances out the soy sauce etc. You wont even taste it
So what is a handful of brown sugar? I made this and something was off. I added a tablespoon of brown sugar. I don’t know yet..... I’m going to try again next week.
@@MrTurtleMob It should be 1 tablespoon not handful, yikes that would have been too much. If you google, Carne asada tacos sam the cooking guy and click on the first icon it takes you to the ingredients list
Sam, my son followed your recipe for carne asada . It was our all time favorite! He fixed it often, we never tired of it! My son passed away almost two years ago. He was our family grill master! I am going to give this receipe to my grand son a hopefully he will become our newest grill master. My son Nick followed you regularly and made full use of our grill. It never got too cold in Ohio for his grill!!!
I'm sorry for your loss.
Came looking for comments to see if this marinade was good and who actually liked it enough to leave a review. I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sure he made a tasty marinade as well. I’ll be trying it soon. Hopefully we like it as much 😃
my condolences
I’m truly sorry for your loss… I pray that God brings peace over your loss. Stay strong..
Sam the cooking guy ..I wanted to share that I was in the hospital for 98 days I have been home since 9/1, I was in a coma for 30 days and when I woke up I couldn’t eat or drink for almost 8 weeks, I was being fed through my nose and iv and eventually a feeding tube. During that time all I watched was cooking shows and videos, it helped for some reason lol, that’s where I came across your channel. I just wanted to say thank you for your videos and personality. I love to cook and have made quite a few of your recipes. Keep up the great work, your videos helped me get through some tough times. They had the hospital locked down so no visitors. So thank you again for what you do it really helped me get through.
If it wasn’t for God, my Wife , prayer and Sam the cooking guy videos, well I am here and thankful to be alive !!!!
Sam, I put this together the other night. I used skirt steak and my wife and I were blown away by the incredible flavor. I just found your channel but love all of what I’ve seen so far. Keep up the good work and I love your kitchen set up. Very jealous.
As a Mexican who has been making carne asada for over 15yrs I would like to congratulate you on this recipe. I used it for my Sunday cookout and EVERYONE was impressed!! (which is saying a lot because my wife's grandmother is.....well.....difficult) Thank you for the video!!
@Brazy Alex Interesting, yet your "somethin" is wrong...
Brother you just motivated even more to try this recipe. I live in El Paso,TX and as you may know this is carne asada country right here and my wife and mother in law love carne asada and would be bien encabronadas if I ruin their antojo. You know what I mean?
That tells me you are not mexican or you don't know what a fuck you're doing, or both..
DuckPoker well, you made a variation of grilled beef ....... not “carne asada”
Raul Sansores sometimes you can change it up and try new tastes, I’ll try it next time, never know, might find go to recipe.
I love that you get right into your recipe without all the unnecessary blah, blah, blah. I love simple recipes without a ton of ingredients,so keep up the good work, can’t wait to try the “CARNE ASADA”
Hello Sam, I am a 53 year old chef according to my family but I tell you that every time I make something that you show and teach us how easy it truly is to cook with flavor and love, she says “ That is the best thing you have made.” I have tried different spices before but sometimes have used too much of it and then ruins it for a while. I use your measurements to a tee most times and it never goes wrong from the tequila lime shrimp and grits I made for her birthday to the most recent Carne Asada, the best thing ever. Love what you are doing for us all, making the world cook again. Thank you brother. Kevin S.
So finally did this exact marinade for my fam, got to say- amazing! Grew up making carne asada and this is the winner. No need to put beer, or a bunch of home sauces. Simple and amazing. The meat maintains its own flavor . This will now be my go to marinade for flank steak-
Soy sauce goes with just about all steak marinades. If you don’t like soy just get braggs liquid aminos. It taste the same just a healthier version. Give it a shot
That backyard BBQ set up is dope.
ObiJuan Kenobi Rich niggas
Hell yea
Honestly
Never say dope again!!!
@@CHiiPMuNKz4LYFe never say niggas again!!!!
I made this exactly but without the brown sugar and it tastes AMAZING. 10/10 it works so good the flap meat and the charring was insane. It tastes exactly the carne asada my mother used to cook for me in my childhood.
Always amazing videos Sam! Please keep them coming. I just love your content! 😃
Why am I watching this at night?

I ask myself the same thing tonight
Lol serio right
Thank you so very much for this carne asada, my friends were extremely delighted at the flavors. Keep up the fantastic and fun cooking ideas that we can follow and drool over haha.
Making this RIGHT NOW. Always loved carne asada, never knew how to make the marinade. Knew you'd be the guy for that. Your recipes are ALWAYS bangin'. Very excited for tonight's dinner.
This recipe is incredible I made it a few weeks ago and I am making it again tonight. Truly delicious and juicy.. all these ingredients compliment eachother so well. 11/10 recommends
I’ve made this recipe dozens of times, it’s amazing! I like to pair it with some grilled shrimp as well and it’s always a hit at BBQ’s and parties.
How you grill ur shrimp
Tried this with chicken and its so good too
I just watched this yesterday, it looked so good. So I went home but only had boneless chicken thighs and used the same recipe and put over the BBQ, it was the best chicken we ever had!
I used this recipe years ago and it was DELICIOUS, I just finish making it again with a little personal addition to recipe and WOW 👌 still good!!!! It doesn't matter what you add to this recipe as a BASE, it will be AMAZING. thank you again Sam!!
I don’t think you’ll see this but just in case, thank you. It turned out amazing. I go see my grandparents on my rare day off. I always pick one of your recipes to fix for them…and me. You guys are the best!
This is a 3 year old video but I literally seen your comment posted just 20 minutes ago i guess we both got it recommended
@@christiansantamaria7233 You really got to try this one. Super easy and absolutely positively delicious.
This carne asada is shit. Nothing about this is a carne asada
If you want authentic carne asada, this ain't it, this is comparable to showing an Italian pineapple on pizza
@@foosdontcry oh really??!? Have you googled the definition of carne asada? This is exactly what the definition says. Don’t be simple minded. There are hundreds of different ways to do carne asada.
Just made this today. I must say this is the tastiest, most juiciest steak that I’ve made. Everyone loved it. Thank you again for a awesome recipe.
How much brown sugar should I use for 3 lbs skirt steak
Brown sugar? No Mexican puts brown sugar in their carne asada lol
La Croix well now you know
Or cumin tf
If no one ever did anything different, things would be pretty freaking boring
La Croix he does, and we Mexicans do not marinade our "carne" that way.

Sam, you're a great man. I have some elderly friends who as you may imagine, appreciate tender and easy chewing meats. Family and friends of all ages loved the delicious servings. Your idea was a blessing for us all. Thank you, amigo.
His reaction at 1:19 is all the convincing I need! 😂☠️☠️
So so good! Highly recommended. Don’t have a grill, so I just did it on the stove top.
Lol youre gonna say "that guy is genius." 😂 Awesome recipe
I made it and added Toreados chili peppers to the marinade! Served with cilantro lime rice and black beans. No words to describe how unbelievably delicious it was with layers of flavor!
Just curious what brand grill that is, I am doing an outdoor kitchen and love how the lid disappears. Thank you
By FAR the best cooking channel on RUclips. I have not seen anything you've made I wouldn't eat and your enthusiasm for good food shines through every video. Thanks for the content, keep it up! Dave from the UK
Try guga buddy
@@ivanrivera5130 yeah no shit! Guga rules!!
I know it's not *real* carne asada, but I don't really care, I'll still eat that. Looks fucking great
Wtf do you mean it's not real LOL
@@dab_saget It's not the way that Mexicans make it. So technically it's not *real* carne asada, but like I said, I'll still eat it, looks better than anything I can make xD
@@dab_saget Lunar is correct: mexican carne asada is made much differently.. but that takes noting away from this style. It looks freaking delicious and I'm going to try it one day.
The meat is asada thou lol
Carne asada translates to grilled meat. So you're wrong lol
Have made this recipe about a dozen times over the last two years and shared it with everyone (always the people I make it for who demand it, LOL). I've used the marinade with chicken and lots of of other different beef cuts, using Braggs Aminos instead of Soy. It's ALWAYS fantastic. The BEST is when it's marinated at least a full day (24 hours). I char it but do it on the pellet grill. SO FREAKING GOOD.
People that don’t know anything about food will criticize it, but I actually think it looks very good. People probably think is sweet but is just a little kick to balance all the flavors together. I’m from Monterrey Mexico and I can tell you that there’s thousands of carne asada recipes with different ingredients. Some people add vinegar, lemon juice, adobo, pineapple juice, beer, orange juice, jalapeños, cilantro, cumin, wine, chimichurri, black pepper, white pepper, bay leaves, oregano, mustard, brown sugar, garlic, cajun seasoning, olive oil, etc etc…
Made this for my family tonight and it was a big hit and it was my first time ever making this. Thanks Everyone
You are my new favorite person! Cooked your enchiladas for a party of 17 and they were blown away. I cannot wait to make street tacos using this recipe for the meat. Keep rocking out the LIFE ALTERING DELICIOUSNESS!!!! 😘
Hello Sam. I made this recipe yesterday and it was phenomenal! First one of yours I tried. All of you should try it. Very important to marinate 4 plus hours. Use thermometer. Cook to 139 degrees then pull off and wrap in foil. Cut and freeze what you don't use. I make tacos all the time now, thanks to Sam!
I don’t care how authentic it is, I made it for Mother’s Day for my mom & it was FANTASTIC!
This is actually CarKnee Asada with SeeLantro .
hahahaha

This guys kitchen is nice af. I'm using a grill that's been Frankensteined and the right burner doesnt even work anymore 😂
Daniel Velasquez ikr lmao
I was thinking the same thing. He should give a tour of his outdoor kitchen. So jelly!
This his outdoor kitchen at that 😂🥴
Pretty sure he owns several restaurants. If you had several restaurants you could have a backyard kitchen like that
Zach Shiray wait what he owns several restaurants ? Lol 🤔
Just made this yesterday, it was amazing!
Thanks for the recipe!
I’ve been following you all the way back to your public access days. You are one of the reasons why my wife says you’re taking over as head chef of the house now. Hahaha! Keep bringing those awesome recipes our way Sam!! Love all your t-shirts by the way!!Thank you!! #Samsgiving2020
Catching up with this channel which I just found. Made this today and it is amazing!!!! So delicious and fresh tasting, which is very different than any steak I've ever had. Told a bowl of cut up pieces of the meat to my neighbors and they were blown away!!! Highly recommend.
I was waiting for him to call it "Car-knee Estrada"
thanks for the laugh 😂
Thank you for the awesome recipe. Tried it out on the family for the first time tonight. They loved it!
Thought I’d try a little of this marinade in my ground beef. A must try!!!! The burgers were amazing. Great flavor and perfect by itself. Now I’ve got a new go to for summer cookouts.
First time watching you and before even trying this recipe over this three day weekend, i already subscribed because of your cool down to earth vibe! Cant wait to try this this weekend! I'll be back with my thoughts ;)
Made this tonight. Absolutely delicious. Thank you for the video!
Simply amazing! 😋
I made this today.. let it marinate for 5 hours. It was delicious! The best carne asada I've ever tasted. Thank you Sam!
I did everything he said and OMG HE WAS RIGHT...MY STAKES WHERE THE BEST I EVER HAD...
THANK YOU SO MUCH 🤗
My son and I are preparing this tonight. It's marinating now. You bring good times Sam.
I can confidently say this is the best nontraditional Mexican carne asada recipe!
No its not
L CM factsssss
@@kayjay3136 i know right lmfao
@@kayjay3136 Well that is what OP said. Just cause it is different doesn't mean it doesn't taste good.
@@kayjay3136 that’s why he said non traditional 🤨
You saved us all throughout quarantine, Sam, Max, Chance and crew! Appreciate you all- excited for the chance at #SAMSGIVING2020
It may not be traditional, but I'd still eat it because I love variety of flavors for my food.
@Jay Kemme now I need to use Google to translate it.
@Jay Kemme , my parents are from Michoacan and Guadalajara. Having visited relatives down there all I've ever seen as anything resembling traditional carne asada consisted of whatever thinly cut of diesmillo or arrachera steak, lightly salted, grilled. Nothing fancy, no marinades, just plain steak. Same stuff in the mercados, on the street. Even in sit down restaurants, unless they offered something as a house specialty, a carne asada plate was just a simple, thinly cut steak, either bistec or sliced. I have never, in all my travels in Mexico, ever had
carne asada that was marinaded or "preprada". In the US, yeah, we would get it if we wanted only because it was different but it's not the norm.
I agree. There's alot of stuff out there that are variations of the traditional stuff I grew up with that my Mom, Aunts, and Grandmothers would make. As long as it taste good, it's all good. I will say mention something else that made me laugh. Several years ago, Carl's Jr. advertised, what they were calling, a traditionally authentic California burrito. They showed the streets of Tijuana, and points south. I emailed their marketing team informing them that there was no such thing as an "authentic" California burrito and that saying this stupidity is insulting the intelligence of a lot of Southern Californians considering that many are very familiar with authentic Mexican food. While I never saw that commercial again I'm sure they received the same type of feedback from others.
Made this today, Sam as usual - You nailed it!!!! Wife is even telling me to watch more of your shows so I cook more LOL
I made this the first time with flat iron steak because we could never find good skirt or Flank steak. Tonight, I used beef tenderloin and it was SUPERB. The whole family thinks I'm amazing. 🤣🤣 I fessed up that it was Sam's recipe.
These are so easy and delicious (thanks Sam!). I buy the flap in bulk and make 6-8 of these at once, then freeze them individually and make them almost every weekend with some form of a STCG burger and the grilled veggies.
I normally just use beer salt oranges and cilantro 🤷🏻♂️
Moth Moses he dont get it
Better than what this guy did
Right?!!!!
He should stick to what he knows and carne asada isn't one of them.
The taco truck to comes to our work once a month does the same thing. Exactly like you said. Their tacos are amazing.
You, sir, are my new favorite person to watch on you tube. Awesome presentation and everything was so easily explained! And that shirt! Looking forward to trying this out with a little canna infused oil!
mike gee the shirt is put out by another food vlogger named Mikey Chen. It’s super cool to see them promoting each other.
Have used this marinade twice on stove seared to oven cooked chuck steak. OMG it's DOPE! Seriously! I'm eating the steak now w/ a cucumber tomato salad. OMG. SO GOOD!!! You are right. You are a GENIUS!!!
Been doing this for maybe 2 years, this is my go to recipe. Just the smell of the ingredients want me want to chow down on them by them selves. It is a very taste carne asada. Luv it!!
Thanks for the tip on Flap Steak. Used it and it was a hit around the table. Many thanks!
He forgot to add beer
No he's not paisa.

These gentile have no idea how to make real Mexican food

@@guadalajarajalisco8066 Ha ha ha ha!!
The marinade I use is garlic, beer (MGD) orange juice and spices. Refrigerate for four hours then grill.
So no brown sugar or is the orange juice the replacement
Followed your directions exactly. It was delicious and we will definitely be making that over and over and over. Thank you
Man your outdoor setup there is amazing! Awesome recipe, liked subscribed and left a comment
It's the dark times of the coronavirus and thus video saved my homemade smothered burritos!!
The entire reason I’m building my outdoor kitchen!! Amazing

Dang it looks so good. Thank you. I will try it out .
Although all these people are complaining about it not being authentic, you made it your own personal way, and it still looks damn good to me
yes i am mexican and i approve his recipe , give a taco please
It’s not even Carne asada at all. Titles wrong and calling carve Asada is stupid. Might as well call it porterhouse marinated lmao
T A and?
T A It’s inspired by the Mexican Style carne asada 😂he never said it’s Authentic Carne Asada
@@TA-dk5nl So tell me. What's the difference between this recipe and the "authentic" recipe? As a an avid foodie and cook I've learned that authentic doesn't necessarily/always mean better than non authentic. I care more about quality of ingredients and creativity of use of ingredients, rather than doing something by the book.
very delicious the way everything came out thank you for this🙏🏽
I had to come back and say, these are absolutely delicious. If anyone is debating making these, go for it. My parents and myself loved this recipe 🐐
Amazing, everything I learn from this guy comes out with satisfaction every time
Carne asada hack. Don’t put brown sugar and soy sauce on your carne asada. Use orange juice or Tampico. You’re welcome.
Tampico? Wth
jrh0369 thank you
when I saw him skip out on the OJ, I came down here to read the comments... all carne asada recipes I've seen use OJ, but I think it's to tenderize the meat, and his meat was already very thin and tender...
Ken Teague yep. The acidity and sugars from oj or Tampico break down the meat and add flavor.
Tampico is the secret ingredient, don’t give it away lol
Thank you so much for sharing this recipe I’ve made it for my family and they definitely said that guy is a genius ☺️🙏 definitely will do it again and again !!
I made this for Father's day recently. It is probably my 3rd time making this, and it really is the best Carne asada I have ever had. Thanks to all of you, and happy Father's day (little late). Keep up the good work!

@Ruffian By Nature I'm not Hispanic. Hispanics are Europeans white Spaniards. I'm indigenous mexicano .so get your shit right before you call Mexicans Hispanic

GREAT recipe. I’ve been searching for a while and this is it!!! Extremely tasty. Thanks.
Recipe never disappoints........Just whipped this up again last night with skirt steak. Absolute killer. Kicked the Brown Sugar, added Chili powder in place, hot fire. Chopped it up for burrito's.
This is exactly my plan. Less sweet, more heat.
Pretty good marinade brother, a little different from the barrio bar-b-q style the ways the homies do it, but I'd definitely try it. Also, the best way to eat carne asada, is with homemade flour or corn tortillas. Matter of fact, me and the wife made carne asada yesterday with homemade everything. You have a new subscriber!
I will add beer, will give it an extra tenderness to the carne asada.
Armando Rios I actually like the idea and I tried it. It won’t be much different just more money to spend. Might as well just drink your beer on the side
I spill beer on muy carne asada, delicious, the fire kills anything..

When my oldest Son comes to town and me and him and his little Bro hang out, this is the exact recipe they want. We do it just like you show. As a side note, we eat it straight off the cutting board. (also like to add a bit more salt and pepper after the marinade.) Thanks Sam. My Sons think I'm a chef. Really, I just follow your recipe.
when i visit my Mom, we also do this :)
