I actually saw EWF on the tour to promote this single. They were easily one of the best groups I have ever heard. They had horns, guitar, bass, multiple singers and mulit percussionl It sounded amazing and we were all jamming. Hey, i was and at the top of my game. That was the same year I saw Prince, The Time, and Vanity six.
I saw them in the UK in the late 70’s, they where combined with the female vocal group The Emotions. The show was fantastic the costumes and individuals being shot out of a cannon and members flying around the stage!

Ah, the 70s & 80s, my favorite era for dance music! Thank you for taking me back to 1981at the Disco when I was 27 years old and having the time of my life. There wasn't a song by Earth wind & fire, The Bee gees or Donna Summer that couldn't get everybody out of their seat & onto to that plexiglass floor with the lights underneath and the disco ball up above. Nobody does it better than EWF. We had a decades contest at school last year and the elementary students listen to five songs selected by the faculty. They heard them every morning for a week and they got to vote on their favorite. They picked Earth Wind and Fire, September. Smart Kids! They even beat out Michael Jackson with the younger crowd..
