Mark Morrison is a British R&B singer that before this had a couple of moderate hits but when this song dropped it hit like a bomb in the UK (reaching # 1 there) and crossed the Atlantic and became a major hit in the United States reaching all the way to number 2 on the billboard charts propelling his debut album to triple platinum status, he even managed to land a Burger King commercial off this song. Since this song however he never had a hit before or after that reached the heights of Return of the Mack if you want to say he was a one hit wonder you wouldn’t be too far off.
Not really a 1 hit wonder. Yes he only had one #1 hit but he had multiple singles that charted in the top 10. Crazy charted at #6. trippin charted at #8. Horney charted at #5 moan and groan charted at #7. And he is actually from Germany but he grew up in England.
Yeah see, I disagree. Crazy was another top tune by him, just didn't get the same exposure, so never reached the same heights, but was just as good in quality in my books, and still a hit.
Have ALWAYS loved this song! Remember it was one of those songs where people got the words wrong and everyone sang the wrong words of “as I slip my Carmex on”. Kinda like “hold me closer Tony Danza”.
My husband's nickname in the Army in the 90's was Mac D because our last name is McDonald. He even has Mac D tattooed on his bicep. He drove me nuts in the late 90's singing this like it's about him. 🤣
I was a teenager when this came out, we were the 'in' crowd at our local ice rink and this song just has the perfect beat to skate 'cool' and show off🤣. Much love from South Africa💜🇿🇦
"Let's Get Down" by: Mark Morrison from "Return of the Mack" Album,it's also another Banger, but Yes this was his Biggest Hit when ya'll get a chance this song "Return of the Mack" has an official video it was a great script..90's was my times, there would never be a better Music Era than this. The whole album was 🔥 he had couple of hits; "Crazy" & "Horny" were Radio Played also
A great song! I love you guys! You are positive all the time! Your reactions are priceless! I'm 56 now! The 80s teenager!. I like it when you hear a song from that decade for the first time! You two are treasures! From Loudoun County, Virginia! 😎😎
I discovered this song after I heard it on the radio a couple years back. The really weird thing is that it was on a station that plays heavy metal and classic rock.
Y'all. I saw New Kids On The Block in concert this summer and Donnie Wahlberg performed this on stage and it was great! Y'all should look it up on RUclips!
Because you were probably too young. I was 14 turning 15 when this bop along with Genuwine- Pnoy and Blackstreet- No Digigty and Freak Nasty- Da Dip were straight bangerd 🔥

You can't help but rise to this gem. My favourite song now. Not bad for 1996. I found it on a GTA San Andreas CSR103.9 alternate playlist and fell in love with it. Its top of my playlist and I've only been into New Jack Swing for the last 2 years....the best genre of music and the best jaming music.
Love this song unfortunately he never took off after this song had a lot of legal troubles throughout the years I believe he was even in jail or on trail when this song got big in the U.S so he couldn’t travel to promote it
I was 36 yrs old when this came out, & LOVE it so much (I'm nearly 64 yrs old!! 😲). Just fab!!💝💝

@@Red-Rambo He was just born in Germany.
@@lordpembridge303 I know that's what I said
@@Red-Rambo You said he's "from" Germany but just because you happen to be born somewhere it doesn't mean that's where you're from.
I love this song so much I can't tell you.
Came out in 1996 was the jam back then and still is, I listen to it all time
R&B classic during the 90s
The sample used for this track was by the Tom Tom Club "Genius Of Love" (1981).
This was a great dance jam back in the day. I remember club'n with my friends and this was the bomb back then.
This is "feel good music" at its finest. Still knocks in 2022 to INFINITI!!!!
do you know more like this ? Like what you describe as feel good music
Hail the Mack! I absolutely love your reaction to this video. I'm 67.
This song was mid-90s, and it was a BANGER. I totally forgot about this song. I remember this song being played 5 or 6 times a day.

One of my favorite songs. An all-time banger!
There is a song with Mark and DMX called Innocent Man. It's a really good track, I would say to listen to the one with lyrics
