i actually like the idea for this, godzilla as the protector of the surface/ king of the monsters and kong being king of the hollow earth, It just matches them so well! love the way the monsterverse is going! this comic is honestly a W, sets up gxk so well. I also love that titan hunter guy, He was interesting. cool mech too.

I thought it was alright. I’m happy we finally have a comic that leads directly into the movie but it’s connected to. The story was okay, however, the scaling in this comic and some of the art on its own was absolutely atrocious.
The story is pretty decent, as is the art, but yeah the scaling and some individual panels are really rough

Such a solid comic to set up GxK. Also the titan hunter is a solid villain and a great step forward for humanity to fight the titans especially after the Mechagodzilla fiasco. I wonder what humanity will do to go to war with the titans at some point down the road cause that's a fight that's gotta happen at some point. Especially after what happened in Kotm, GvK and GxK.
I hope humanity starts bio-engineering Titans. Good thing Godzilla didn't learn they created another mech. He wouldn't approve of that.

I’ll be honest I personally would want aliens to invade at this point lol. The Monsterverse has gotten so deep into the Showa style at this they might as well go all in.

@@DMan1954 well, if they really aren’t interested in adapting the aliens from Showa, it would make more sense to just leave them alone than to try and make it work.
He only gained the sentience to know what is happening around the world after his fight with Ghidora, it was a gift he absorbed from Mothra similarly to how absorbing parts of Tiamats DNA made him pink and grow dermal and different spines etc so that's why he didnt know about the Mutos in advance but he did know whenever MG was getting started up cos of this ability he has now

I have. That isn’t how that happened. Mothra was guiding him back home. She is NOT how he gained that ability. He already had it. Either way, doesn’t explain how he fails to keep up with or predict Scylla’s movements.
@@DMan1954 It's very heavily implied, that mothra's sacrifice gave him the ability to sense every titan on the earth's surface. He literally uses it no other time prior to kotm, and there was many radiation plants(I forgot what they were called) active, so tracking down one particular one is gonna be difficult! Especially when scylla is a very fast swimmer.
I'm guessing that knowing where the Titans are and what they are doing in that moment came from mothra since she knew exactly where Godzilla was after that fight with King Ghidorah in Mexico and by the time she died by ghidorah she transition that knowing where the Titans all at to godzilla and that's how he knew where kong and sclly was at in gxk and before that in gvk his sense was going insane since mechagodzilla or this new Titan was going everywhere since he got awakn and that's why godzilla was attacking Florida since he thought there was a new Titan trying to take his place as king of the monsters and he didn't have that ability in g14 so I'm guessing he was sensing the radiation coming form the mutos or it was a hollow earth Portal that happened to lead him to where the mutos were at

Canonically not the case. Godzilla is supposed to always have had that ability. In KOTM he has that ability early in the movie, appearing at the Monarch base to warn them about Antarctica. He also knows exactly where the MUTOs are at all times online 2014. And yet, even after he absorbs some of Mothra (Dominion confirms there isn’t much left in him), he still can’t keep up with Scylla or predict her next move.
They are inconsistent powers and are “get out of jail free” cards for the writers
@DMan1954 well yea it's inconsistent for their writers since all of their stuff. They make happens to get ignored a lot by the movies, but it seems to me ( this was my headcanon for it) that he didn't have these power until mothra gave them to him which to me explains his attack on Pensacola because he sense another Titan or he just sense Ghidorah alive and that's why he attack but I agree with everything you just said tho

Hope Hedorah comes to the Monsterverse soon, he would be such a great villian for godzilla. I believe he's the only kaiju that is immune to godzilla's atomic breath. idk, he's cool and Adam likes the kaiju so.....huge possibility?....sorry i had to get this out of my head lmao
I also really want Hedorah to be Godzilla's next big threat. Think about it, the force of nature vs the effects of pollution. They're just begging to be in movie.

Hedorah definitely deserves a comeback. But if Wingard wants his next sequel to be the last one (he’s say’s he wants a trilogy), I can see him doing a soft remake of Godzilla vs Destroyah but having Godzilla going out in a heroic sacrifice instead of just exploding. Edit: wouldn’t mind aliens either

What do you think of the Titan Hunter’s design?
For me was a big letdown and a huge missed opportunity to actually build and structure the lore from the previous entrances and build up for the next ones, the only thing that saves for me is the scylla storyline as it really end up connecting with the movie, as the titan hunter, I bet whatever you want that we are not going to hear from that project and the person behind it, ever again. That, plus the bad art and scale, and the big plot holes...it's a shame, cause I actually like to support this kind of projects and I supported the Kickstarter cause I like that my favourite universe got as many comics and additions to the lore as it can, cause, in my opinion, it has enormous potential, and instead we got this, which is not super bad...but for me doesn't deliver sorry :/
I thought Godzilla gained that ability to sense all the kaiju on Earth because he absorbed Mothra. It explains why he didn't sense the Muto's and why later he could. Does it also say he can sense the Hollow Earth Titans as well even though it's separate kinda from the surface

It’s not accurate. Godzilla has that ability during the events of King Of The Monsters. Not only confirmed by the movie itself when Godzilla predicts Ghidorah’s awakening, but the novelization literally says it.
Godzilla didn’t gain any long term abilities from Mothra. She just guided him home through her remaining force within him.
@DMan1954 Godzilla can sense Titans that threaton balance and all that. I just figured the ability to tell every Titan to sleep doesn't seem like something he would naturally have in my mind.

1. Do you think Minus One’s durability is any less than Showa G’s or do you think he is the same and Minus One just uses the pre established lore to find a unique way of taking Godzilla down?
2. Do you think MV Goji is just as strong as Heisei and this is just an updated version of him or is Heisei Goji physically stronger due to the way he threw MG2? Or is the way he threw MG2 just a limitation of the suitmation?

My guess, Same thing that happens to Godzilla’s spines. It would crackle and glow pink, releasing the new electric energy that courses through Godzilla.

I think you might be too critical of the timing of events in the comic and the movie. Did Kong's hunt actually happen simultaneously with Godzilla's bit? Is it really that far-fetched to say that Kong's hunt of the Wartdogs happen after his fight with the Titan Hunter? Does a few minutes of discrepancy really matter all that much when it can be easily explained by time-displacement between comics and movies? Also, the cave-painting of Shimo shouldn't matter too much. Cultures have always had their "own artistic take" on objects of reality and thus make it look different from it.

I just hope Adam doesn't direct the next movie. He make Godzilla nothing but an asshole that won't let any other titan literally eat anything yet he can kill humans absorbing all the radiation. Kong is cool but Adam just gets the worst scripts and I miss more grounded monsterverse solo movies like good God we don't need another the new empire it was trash and I'm a huge Godzilla fan

Godzilla is the king of the monsters he should be nearly impossible to be beaten in a fight. I disagree with you. He is a force of nature so why is it lazy for him to sense everything thats going on? Thats what he is the protector. I dont get what youre going on about? I dont get why kong is a protector of anything. When ghidora came through and steam rolled the world kong would be stuck on skull island since he has no way of getting to him….. useless kaiju and overhyped for no reason whatsoever. I really cant stand these kong glazers
