We make ours with no sugar or sweetners and it is wonderfully refreshing
Sounds good too
I recently learned that there is an adjustment for the height of the mixer in the bowl. It's up in the hinge area. It lets you adjust the whisk so it gets closer to the bottom of the bowl. Made a big difference for me.
Never knew that
Not carnivore since you added sugar, now it is just very delicious ice cream. Beautiful
You don’t have to add sugar. We don’t make it very often either.
William brings such a huge smile to my face! Thanks for the recipe and the smiles : )
Aww thank you Ellie!!
You could probably use a keto sweetener like allulose or stevia to sweeten.
if we’re comparing what’s worse, artificial sweeteners are far worse than sugar.
Allulose and stevia are natural sweeteners, not artificial or synthetically-made. They also don't spike blood glucose in the majority of people, which I think is very important.
@@JamieE76 that’s cool but many commercial stevia products are highly purified stevia extracts, and are not always as healthy as some of their “natural” labels would lead you to believe. the extraction and processing methods change the properties of the whole leaf into something different.
Had some last night 😋 we use 1/4 packet of *PureBoost* Citrus Sunrise (an electrolyte brand 2 gm carb in packet = .5 grams stevia and that flavor tastes like Tang..it's their only flavor that tastes good) ....so it tastes like dreamcicle ice cream.
We bought the inexpensive Cuisinart that Dr Kiltz uses.
Takes 20 minutes.
I’m on lion diet and haven’t had any for awhile
Instead of sugar, why not use a keto friendly sweetener ? Like allulose, monkfruit, stevia, erythritol or xylitol ???
The body will treat sweeteners just like it treats regular sugar. So we just use sugar for it.
@@PokoMoonFam Not according to the Glycemic Index.
@@johnray5665 artificial sweeteners are far worse than sugar. Do some more research
@@PokoMoonFamreally brother? Uh oh….i better start weening myself of those too 😮
@@odnilniloc yeah it’s best for us just to have no sugar or sweeteners at all.
Allulose is a better choice.
I feel like I just don’t want more chemicals, but it would be nice to have softer carnivore ice cream.
I use Allulose because it makes it scoop able straight from the freezer. Is it scoop able using the sugar as well?
Sugar does not make it scoopable from the freezer. It takes forever to thaw
😀 I'm guessing a sugar sub will work also THX
Yup. This batch we added sugar. Most time we don’t add any. I’m on lion diet and don’t have any carnivore ice cream
Not for me- ever! I would just blend cream with bananas.
That’s a good idea too Rick
@@PokoMoonFam I have made it for my friends, they love it!
Ever thought to use sugar syrup instead so it dissolves? Or does it dissolve this way? 🍨
Never tried it. We rarely make carnivore ice cream so we add a bit of sugar. But I’m on lion diet and feel no urge to eat any carnivore ice cream. If you make it all the time I wouldn’t add any sugar. Kiltz says only add sugar if you eat it every once in a while.
