    Doxycycline is what caused all my GI issues leading up to h.pylori. I will never touch an antibiotic again in my life unless absolutely necessary. My life was ruined for 2 years and I'm still battling some symptoms. I sought out a functional medicine doctor who has really helped me over the last few months.

      The Same with me. Took it for acne four years ago and I wish if they’d prescribed me probiotics and digestive enzymes instead

      @@k.z8527 Agreed! I had a little face rash and was prescribed the antibiotics for several months! I wish I knew then what I know now! And of course, the dermatologist didn't say anything about probiotics while taking the Doxycycline 🤦‍♀️

      I hope we get out this hell soon. I’m on day eight taking rifaximin + 400 billion cfu probiotics + biofilm disruptor(digestive enzymes), still no sign of improvement for my symptoms but gosh my acne is clearing up like crazy.

    Hi Shivan! When will the treatments be available on the market? How well are they working on the patients that have tried them?

    • @SIBOSOS
      @SIBOSOS  8 месяцев назад

      When it comes to SIBO treatments, it's essential for patients to work closely with a practitioner for personalized guidance. Currently, there are three main treatment options: pharmaceutical antibiotics, herbal antibiotics, and the elemental diet.

    Has cholestyramine been found to be useful in treating IMO especially for those who are at increased risk for developing C Diff?

    • @SIBOSOS
      @SIBOSOS  4 месяца назад

      Cholestyramine is sometimes used to help manage symptoms of IMO, particularly for its ability to bind bile acids. However, its effectiveness can vary, and it's important to consider potential risks like C. difficile, especially if you’re at increased risk. It’s best to discuss this with your healthcare provider to determine the most suitable treatment for your situation.

      CSM is binding. Most people with IMO present with constipation. I would think this would be contraindicated.

    • @SIBOSOS

    I have cirrhosis, from Hep C due to a blood transfusion when my twins were born 38 years ago. Recently, after treatment for hep c, I've been experiencing symptoms that seem like SIBO. The nurse put me on FODMAP diet, but I'm taking Lactulose for lowering ammonia. Is the Lactulose the problem? I've been on it for a long time, and all of a sudden I have this problem. Am I in a catch 22?

    • @SIBOSOS
      @SIBOSOS  7 месяцев назад

      Lactulose can interact with the FODMAP diet in some cases. It's important to discuss this with your doctor to see if there might be adjustments needed for your specific situation. We wish you well in finding relief!

    Just diagnosed of SIBO in my breath test Have been suffering from acid reflux which results in throat clearing Don’t know if it’s because of low or high acid Throat clearing is the only symptom but extremely disturbing Now SIBO because of 3/4 days no bowel movement Both these symptoms are from ages I am 61 and if I can recall it’s since I was in my early twenties When I was in my late 50s I had optic neuritis and doctors couldn’t make out the cause except that my blood markers showed I have autoimmune disease called Sjorgens Could this all be related Now how to go about Your video was highly knowledgeable but then confusing too Doctors here look at your face here in uae if you try to tell them all this What’s the solution?

      The throat clearing is a symptom of LPR, silent reflux

    • @sairaharoon3094

      How to diagnose if it’s LPR? When I questioned my gastroenterologist “Do I have LPR issue? “ He looked at me and said “What issue what’s that ?”

    • @karenzimmer7607
      @karenzimmer7607 5 месяцев назад

      @sairaharoon3094 I had a barium swallow and no hernia or reflux occurred. I know throat clearing, post nasal drip, globus feeling in throat are signs. They can do an endoscopy to see if there are signs of acid in throat etc. I use to spray alkaline water in throat but don't drink it. It can reduce stomach acid
