- A restaurant-quality Chicken Marsala you can make right from the comfort of your own kitchen. This recipe features pan-fried chicken topped with a creamy and savory marsala sauce.

CHICKEN MARSALA INGREDIENTS:
►1 1/4 lbs chicken breast (2 large), or chicken tenders
►1/2 tsp salt or to taste
►1/4 tsp black pepper or to taste
►1/4 cup all-purpose flour for dredging
►2 Tbsp olive oil
►1 Tbsp unsalted butter
►8 oz brown button mushrooms halved or thickly sliced if very large
►1/2 tsp onion powder
►2 garlic cloves minced
►3/4 cup dry marsala wine (not sweet)
►3/4 cup chicken stock reduced-sodium
►1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
►2 Tbsp parsley finely chopped

Here is why this is my new favorite cooking channel - The RECIPES! And, of course, Natasha. I love cooking shows but rarely are the recipes that great when I try them. America's Test Kitchen has been the most reliable... until now. We first tried the Beef Stroganoff - Amazing! Then the apple pie - Delicious (even with no brown sugar)! Almost every recipe was a hit (I like my chicken alfredo better but I still learned things from her video that made mine better and easier). Bravo and thank you so much for the resources on the website. They REALLY help!!! You are a gift.

@@nadoushable If you are not able to find Marsala wine, a Madeira wine would also work. If alcohol is a concern, most of the alcohol is cooked out in the pan so you just get the added flavor and the sauce ends up with an insignificant amount of alcohol. If you are looking to make it wine-free, you could just use more broth and boil that down, but the flavor profile wouldn’t be quite the same.

One of the things I love about Natasha (outside of her personality and wonderful recipes!) is not having to endure way too much time watching someone slowly cut and cook every step of a recipe! The videos are engaging and fun and don’t take a lifetime to watch to be able to prepare a magnificent meal! You have found the niche in recipe videos - love them!

Made this for a family of 5. It was a big hit with everyone, even the picky eaters. Absolutely gorgeous. I did have to substitute the Marsala wine for Madeira as I couldn’t find dry Marsala.

We’re having this tonight, October 6, 2020, while watching for Hurricane Delta to either hit or miss us in Pensacola, FL. This was the second time we fixed it and it came out great - I took a little more time to pound the chicken, and used a high quality dry Marsala dinner wine (Sheffield Silver Lane, oak mellowed) instead of just the Holland House cooking wine from the grocery store. - made a big difference in the taste. Thanks again, Natasha for the Chicken Marsala and all your great recipes you’ve shared that we really enjoy at home.

I made Natasha’s Chicken Scampi last night, and my better half and I loved it. Tonight, I’m gonna give her Chicken Marsala a go. I had to go to the supermarket today. There happened to be some chicken breasts on special. I bought a package of four breasts. I got some Marsala from the liquor store which is a few doors away from the supermarket. How convenient ;-)

Natasha, I've previously made Chicken Marsala from a Veal Marsala recipe with shallots. Your Creamy Chicken Marsala was so flavorful (without the shallots) it had me dancing and singing! It's one of the best tasting recipes I've ever made. I modified slightly (white mushrooms, off the shelf supermarket Marsala Wine ). I'm about to cook again tonight adding a pinch of Cayenne Pepper for a bit of heat and increasing the sauce amount.

I went to French cooking school many years ago. Your recipes are just Great. Simple and very delicious. I am so glad that you put a cover on your cutting board before putting the pan on it. The sauce is the best part! I always double the sauce! I've often thought about just making Marsala mushrooms, and heaping that sauce over noodles, rice, or just in a bowl by themselves!

I would use chick peas/garbanzo beans in place of the chicken, they are good in a cream based sauce, also vegetable stock in place of chicken stock.

Hey Natasha! Thank you for this delicious recipe 😍 I had a question, is there anything we can use in the place of marsala? Because I don’t use wine ☺️
I know some places sell Marsala spice to add in it
@@ellewoods66 If you're worried about the alcohol it evaporates when cooking.
@@jamespuckett5547 It doesn't actually fully evaporate though. Alcohol has a lower boiling point than water, and thus evaporates faster, it's true, and a lot does evaporate, but just to give an example: if you bake or simmer food with alcohol for even as long as 15 mins it still retains 40% of the alcohol, and it actually takes about 3 full hours of simmering to fully erase all traces of alcohol...far more than any chicken can handle 😂😂
For most people that doesn't matter, but for religious or alcoholism reasons it does matter to some people, and saying "it evaporates when cooking" can be misleading
