1.26 is the minimum firmware version you must have to play these sounds. However, I recommend v 1.41 minimum. You will have the option to choose the destination bank (you will be able to import my presets into banks B or C or D on your PRO-800).
I used some FX-ing to come up with the musty & degraded vibe of the patches. The sounds have a combination of EQ / chorus / delay / reverb. The amount of any individual effect is small, but some patches have all of these effects applied simultaneously, so they all add up to create a certain vibe.
My soundset is pretty experimental (as you can hear in the video;) so some patches are not tuned into “C” note (for example if you hit C on your midi keyboard, the preset will sound like “D” or “E”, etc). Of course you can retune the presets via the Master Tune knob or via the Oscillator Freq knobs.

Very enjoyable
Used to have the OG Prophet 600. Sold it due to many hardware failures. It is a very punchy & raw synth. However, this Behringer copy seems very tame. Probably will still buy one just to make sure.

I like your sounds, but am a little nervous about "some patches are not tuned to C". How many patches? Why aren't they in standard tuning? If I "correct" the tuning of the patch, can I then overwrite the non-standard tuned patch? If possible, I like to play a C note, and have it produce a C note. But the sounds are great, so I hope there's a solution to that. Thanks!
Thanks! My soundset is pretty experimental, but it will come to you in versions that you can choose depending on your goal. After you download the file, you will find the "original version" in which all the presets are in their original state (the way I designed them and the way I play them in these videos). There's also the "tuned version" where the majority of presets are tuned into "C" (this means around 95% - it cannot be 100% because for some presets it wouldn't make sense as they're meant by design to be atonal / metallic / etc). PS. answering your other question: yes, of course you can overwrite the presets with any adjustments of your own.

What are your thoughts on it's construction? is it solid or crappy cheap materials?
I don't find the physical construction or material quality lacking, I'd say the problem is more on the software side. I have some random values jump on the LCD display and the synth has a long history of firmware... 'unstability';)

This thing is so lush sounding, def gonna buy one maybe even two.. needs little space and money.
You will also check out the UB-Xa? Think it has potential, its 16 voice multitimbral with mod matrix.. but demos I've heard yet are just boring. 90% just try to match obxa presets o.o

Jexus is a creative guy. No doubt. Just like me when I was young... The only difference is that I don't have, and I don't want a RUclips channel. I'm famous and rich enough and I don't need people asking questions about my time with DB... I'm old and ugly and about to die in the coming years... LOL. But about the PRO800... I've been following the whole story from the beginning and I've played tha P600 original synth back in the 80's when it was new on the market. But honestly? I wouldn't want to swap it for my Cobalt 8M which is in imho a way more interesting synth... Nevrrrr the less... Have fun with your PRO800 any way. I'm busy playing my M12... ;-)
