I had the longest hair in high school, I remember dreaming of the day my hair would be long and luscious in middle school, finally after years of growing my hair looked like a long curly beautiful head of hair, definitely a topic of conversation for everyone in school at the time, but also I got a lot of hate. I would get hate mail on social media and guys trying to pick fights with me. I wore band shirts and was heavy into music. My hair was well maintained and had huge natural perfect curls that girls envied. Girls would play with my hair and I got a lot of attention and notoriety for it. I was also very insecure about it. Because more often then not main stream didn’t see it as a male thing to do. Adults made fun of me, jocks and popular kids hated me. I cut it off one day because I just wanted to fit in. I donated it all to locks of love. Not a day goes by where I wished I never did that because it was part of my identity for so long. I’ve tried growing it out many times again but my hair doesn’t grow as fast as it once did. I’m trying it again now and it looks bad lol I have a very steady career and it’s not easy going through the first phases of long hair at a professional setting, my hair is thick and curly so it looks like an Afro almost at first. Anyways moral of the story don’t care what others think, it looks awesome. I wore band shirts and had long hair and I was made fun of nowadays you can get an overpriced band shirt that kids never actually listen to at forever 21 and urban outfitters and every dude has a man bun wtf I don’t understand the world.

I had long hair for a few years and I do miss it at times. However, the main reason I ended up cutting it is due to maintenance. My hair isn't straight like you guys, it's a lot curlier like Slash from Guns n Roses. It's definitely a lot of work to maintain long curly hair with all the conditioning and detangling that's required. I also felt that I couldn't get it to look exactly like I wanted, it always looked kind of unkempt despite my best efforts to maintain it. If I had straight hair or wavy hair I would definitely grow it out again. But I think I'll be rocking the shorter hairstyles from now on.
I’ve been growing out my hair for about 2 years and its a mix of curly/wavy. Biggest plus for me is the amount of girls numbers and the increase in amount of dates my week consists of, so thats a plus for me
Alot of guys fit with long hair but its not just that. The more hair you have the more of peoples attention goes to your hair and not other facial features so if you have a minor flaw its gonna be harder to notice with long hair. I hate my look after a short haircut
The problem is the women encountered have to like long hair on men. Sadly the statistical majority of women doesn't think in our direction. Many women like longer hair on men, but not long hair I've noticed from online research. The biggest irony is more of the extremely long haired women like very long hair for themselves but not for men. I think most of these fashion girls haven't any mind of their own, they let the media and society decide for them what they need to follow and are afraid, unaware, not accustomed to the idea of thinking for one's self or acting on one's true personal beliefs. These extremely beauty conscious feminine women seem to go after extremely tough masculine men. I believe it's all a status sheeple conformist thing, not really biologically rooted. They care what others think of them and not what they think for themselves personally. Based on nature, long hair is dominant for preference over short hair (for either sex) but most women in the materialistic world dumped nature overboard for the ideas of status and money when it comes to finding the ideal male mate for them.
I had a really long hair for more than a year, but because its curl and its texture is so harsh, also hard af to manage and keep tied i decided to cut it, like it was really amazing considerind the combo it made with my square jawline, but i had to, this hair is killin me :D
long hair does look great. I think today’s man is too nervous to let it grow now. Women always say they love the short fade but they see a long haired man and say “damn” lol
After getting through the awkward growth stages, long hair is LESS maintenance for me! The weight and volume tends to relax over time. I have more control over styling my hair instead of less control 😂
It is literally all you have to do is comb it and wash it and it usually looks good. Compared to short hair you have to wash every single day and spend 200$ once a month to get the newest fashionable style that you have to comb just the right way and ad gel to etc.
Talking from experience, first you have to look like a man. Being very short skinny and having no beard makes you look like a girl. Having pin-straight hair doesn’t help as well. And most girls do compliment your hair but that’s about it. When I did cut my hair, a lot of them said I looked better with it short. Sucks because having long hair is really cool.
LONG HAIR Traditionally long hair was always a symbol of masculinity. All of history's great warriors had long hair, from the Greeks (who wrote ode to the hair of their heroes) to the Nordic, from American Indians (famous for their long shining hairs) to the Japanese. And the longer and more beautiful the hair, the more virile the warrior was considered. Vikings displayed their braids and samurais used their long hair as a symbol of their honor (they cut their braid when they lose honor). When a warrior was captured he cut his mane to humiliate him, to remove his beauty. That custom took back on what is today military service. There when the new soldiers start their training first thing that does them is to cut their hair to undermine their self-esteem, make them submissive and make them see who's in charge. The Romans were the ones who ′′ invented ′′ short hair so to put it somehow, between the st century BC and VD. B.. In battles they thought this gave them defensive advantages, as their opponents couldn't grab them by their hair. This also helped them recognize each other on the battlefield. Short hair on men is a relatively new ′′ invention ′′ that has nothing to do with aesthetics. But today we often see men being humiliated, sometimes called ′′ gay ′′ for using long hair, not knowing that short hair is actually the ′′ anti-masculine ′′ and is a repressive social imposition, while long hair symbolizes freedom.
Long hair is glorious. Sure, I've had challenges to deal with that I didn't have with shorter hair (most notably, hair shedding all over the place and having to restyle my hair when I'm laying back on a chair due to the bun/tail pushing my neck forward), but it's totally worth it. For me, not having to go to the barber is a MAJOR plus. I save money, I save time, and I trudged through the middling phase (I have a round face). Also, I never engaged nor was I ever interested in barbershop banter, since I would go to barbershops run by Cuban guys I had nothing in common with (my family is Cuban so I can talk shit about Cubans.)
Been growing my hair for a few years and it's now around mid-back length. I can definitely say it's the best decision I've made and never regretted it. I've even had guys say it's cool and not to listen to people who think I should cut it. All the ladies seem to be very supportive of the male locks.
I've been doing fades on the side for a few years now and it's just getting old, as much as I like fades it's time for something new. I haven't had long hair since I was 17, I'm 26 now thanks for influencing me to go back to my old style!
Used to sport a high and tight for most of my 20s and early 30s because of my military service, however; just started growing my hair out about a year and half ago and regret not doing it earlier.
Beards do go hand and hand with long hair more than the short haired fuck boy look. But if you can't grow a beard just grow your hair out anyways. You mite like it you never know until you try. Besides you only live once and if you don't like it you always have the option of cutting it. 🤷♂️
Most of my family has lost or is loosing their hair, when I decided to grow out my hair it was to donate to kids. But now I’m loving it, so now I’m growing it longer to donate than I had intended! My dad use to tell me to cut my hair because i “looked like a woman” but just a while ago he told me he loves my hair and is jealous of me! That was a shock to me because from as long as I knew my dad shaved his hair because of balding. My hair is wayyy past my shoulders and haven’t cut it in more than 2 years
Plus, 6: Chicks dig it. Long hair on men to me signifies health, sensitivity and open mindedness/ philosophical-ism. He's likely to be someone I'll have interesting things to talk about with. : ) I've long been chastised for liking nearly exclusively long haired men, and I've tried to mix it up a bit and be more inclusive in my tastes, but, overall... if he doesn't have much hair, he doesn't hold much interest to me.
5th is more of a downside 😂, you think it will be lovely to have girls touching your hair, but later you are just...GET THE HANDS OF MY MANE! 4th was my sole reason.

I don't agreed when you guys saying that give the perception masculinity! in fact at least to me every time I look at a man with long hear some how I see the person a bit girls like type! honestly! not putting down in any way, in fact my older son have a very long hair! is just my perception!
I always wanted to grow my hair out long but have been committed to the bald head look for around 25 yrs. I can't stand my its super curly and difficult i've been growing my beard for a few months and think i'll be going back to shaving again soon. You guys have such a cool look I'd do it if i could.
Long hair is cool, unless you have asian hair, because it is very straight and flat and looks girly and it's worst if you do any combat sports (it doesn't stay in place no matter what)
I say that because I had it for a few years I wanted the Jason Momoa look, but he has wavy texture and when my hair were long, they were very straight and soft. Lot of girls were jealous I admit but it was very feminine (good thing I have a beard). And when put in a man bun or with any headband or whatever high ponytails when in sparring you get punched a few times or in a clinch, the hair quickly go in your face and you can't see anything. And you really don't want to put off your gloves to fix your hair..

Extra reason for guys to grow out their hair: It's super attractive 🥵

I got about three minutes in and decided to grow my hair back out
The problem is the women encountered have to like long hair on men.
Women always say they love the short fade but they see a long haired man and say “damn” lol
they are blind & brain wash by the media not surprise there
I cut my long hair about 6 years ago, and I’ve never been able to get through the awkward stage again. 😔
Awkward stage video coming soon!
Samurais, Lapu Lapu, Native Americans all donned long hair. In the Native American culture, they say that hair is an extension of the nervous system.
I am a girl with short hair and i love it! But really am a sucker for men with long hair! 😍
Alternate title: Jesus and God giving you fashion advice
Ayyyy yoooo what's pimping homie
Talking from experience, first you have to look like a man. Being very short skinny and having no beard makes you look like a girl. Having pin-straight hair doesn’t help as well. And most girls do compliment your hair but that’s about it. When I did cut my hair, a lot of them said I looked better with it short. Sucks because having long hair is really cool.
LONG HAIR
Traditionally long hair was always a symbol of masculinity.
Yep. Short hair is basically feminine and submissive because instead of embracing your body your nature you are giving into silly cultural norms.
UNDEAF - well said! 🙏🏻
Been 2 years since I started growing my hair. No regrets right here.
I love it when cute girls touch my hair: even if they just like my hair and aren’t necessarily attracted to me 😂 it’s a nice compliment 😁
Samurai used long hair, at first to hold their helmet and then it became a symbol of high status and honor.
I have long hair already. Now I just need to grow a badass beard.
Aquiles and Zeus doing tutorial videos???
U guys motivate me keep my calm in the akward stage, great vids!
Pro tip: when you have long hair you become a god
Used to sport a high and tight for most of my 20s and early 30s because of my military service, however; just started growing my hair out about a year and half ago and regret not doing it earlier.
Better late then never.
But in my opinion you need a good beard to go with it. Otherwise it just doesnt match.
That was my thought in the beginning, but it really comes down to the face in general. Look at legolas for example
Beards do go hand and hand with long hair more than the short haired fuck boy look. But if you can't grow a beard just grow your hair out anyways. You mite like it you never know until you try. Besides you only live once and if you don't like it you always have the option of cutting it. 🤷♂️
Yeah but I'm 12 bro
That’s not necessarily true .
I live in Liverpool, so the last thing you would expect would be a lad with long straight hair, so i can definitely relate to the glances xD
I'm a woman with a short hair because i think it suits me more, yet i LOVE long hair on men. ❤️😍
🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thanks!
Joberia.. im a guy with long hair and i love girls with short hairs 🙈😃
@@basharali4724 awesome 😆
@@gracegracegraceee 🙈 you have unlocked good luck for the rest of your life...
Have a great day..
@@basharali4724 awww thank you ! 🤗
in my opinion almost everybody looks better with long hair, down to the chin minimum, don't care about gender
Having long hairs is the habit of our Holy prophets (peace be upon them) , the most beloved men on earth by GOD.
1 year today since my last haircut!! Feeling great!! And the convenience of putting ur hair up in a bun is incomparable
Your hair probably get split into two parts and will end up with regret
Most of my family has lost or is loosing their hair, when I decided to grow out my hair it was to donate to kids. But now I’m loving it, so now I’m growing it longer to donate than I had intended! My dad use to tell me to cut my hair because i “looked like a woman” but just a while ago he told me he loves my hair and is jealous of me! That was a shock to me because from as long as I knew my dad shaved his hair because of balding. My hair is wayyy past my shoulders and haven’t cut it in more than 2 years
Jesus and Zeus talking to us about having long hair 😂
I'm on 8 months and i'm planning to stop at the two years mark! god willing! long hair is awesome!
After growing my hair out, I felt more WAAAY more confident.
First time growing mine, about 10 months in, I've never wore so many beenies 🤘🏻.. Helps that I'm a builder so can be scruffy at work
Personally I think if you don’t have curls or at least waves there’s no point in growing out your hair
Cuz we are metalheads 😎🤟🤟
5th is more of a downside 😂, you think it will be lovely to have girls touching your hair, but later you are just...GET THE HANDS OF MY MANE!
4th was my sole reason.
Been growing out my hair for about a year. I can pull almost all of it back now. I am thinning a little on the top but I'm 6ft 5 so nobody sees it XD
Great video men. You both have awesome hair. I’ve been growing mine out for one year now. Its been a tough year with all the awkward stages but it’s finally getting some length. Like Greg I also am completely grey. 😎
This old guy is more Zeus than zeus
how can you tell if you will look good with long hair? I feel like some people might not look good with it
Hey look! It’s Jesus and God 👼🏻
1.attention
2.lot of styling options..
3. ease of maintenance
4. perception of masculinity
5. it breaks the touch barriers .
the funny thing is . you will get these same reasons for short hair.. :D fucck this world
I already took the decision awhile ago about let my hair grow. I’m in the process and I’m definitely entering in the awkward stage. 5 months and counting. Wish me luck! :)
How’s it going now?
@@GurzS1o1 it’s going pretty well. Thank you for asking I just reached the 1st Year. In a couple of months I will be able to have the full man bun cause right now some hairs on my sides are not long enough for a perfect full man bun so I’m using hair pins .
I'm currently growing my hair....is around 10-11 inches long rn....too long for clay or pomade, but not long enough to let the locks flow like you two....any recommendations on what to do with it? any products I should use in your opinion?
Wear your favorite hat or beanie!
Any length of hair can flow.
Ok first of all, get a room already.....and number 6, the flowing lock, even just the one escaped one, will take at LEAST five years off you, add a ' striking beard'? A good decade...
Yo I'm about to cut my hair after 2 years of growing it out. This might change my mind
Reason #6, just because I can
Bout 5 months in now. I have to keep it slicked back under a hat because my hair pards oddly, I have a widows peak so it makes it hard to put in a bind the front just falls out rn
As a Child of the 60’s, I love seeing men with healthy long hair. 💖💖💖
Zeus and Hercules
I don't agreed when you guys saying that give the perception masculinity! in fact at least to me every time I look at a man with long hear some how I see the person a bit girls like type! honestly! not putting down in any way, in fact my older son have a very long hair! is just my perception!
I always wanted to grow my hair out long but have been committed to the bald head look for around 25 yrs. I can't stand my its super curly and difficult i've been growing my beard for a few months and think i'll be going back to shaving again soon. You guys have such a cool look I'd do it if i could.
I'm finally exiting the awkward stage!
Long hair is cool, unless you have asian hair, because it is very straight and flat and looks girly and it's worst if you do any combat sports (it doesn't stay in place no matter what)
Don’t tell that to the samurai’s or Mongolian warriors
I say that because I had it for a few years
I wanted the Jason Momoa look, but he has wavy texture and when my hair were long, they were very straight and soft.
Yeah that’s kinda true, most of asians have straight hair, but i’m lucky to have wavy hair naturally and now i’m into 5 months of hair growth😄
@@TravWhiteStyle or the Manchus haha
Short hair is faminine Japanese culture long hair means manly because it is like your pubic hair getting longer
Old guy looks soo fucking great long haired.
But the left guy looked very feminine for some reason.
No hate just my opinion.
