After watching this yesterday I went through my wardrobe and found I did have most of these items. Looking forward to wearing this ageless, classy style.
I live in Florida I am a coastal grandmother and all the vibes that are people are going for I've done that for years already so I'm finally in style who would have thunk it
TALBOTS! I was going to include them in this video as they make great wicker accessories but couldn’t for the life of me remember the name 😂 Thank you for jogging my memory!
Thank you Fab! I have watched many of your videos and love them all. The coastal Grandmother was simply fabulous and true to my style. You are so amazing!🛍 🇺🇸💞
What I do love about "coastal grandmother" vibe in Something's gotta give is that a young, beautiful man really loves her. Dianne Keaton is phenomenal. Watch old Woody Allen movies. She is a doll.
These are so cute! Love the inspiration. Now, you can’t be wearing sweaters, long sleeves and long pants in Charleston, Rosemary Beach, OBX, or Hilton Head Island in the summer (maybe even California in San Diego)! I would have loved to see the coastal grandmother outfits for the southern ladies on the coast. These outfits for us are like coast grandmother at Christmas outside of NY.
Fab, luv luv luv this! You are so fabulous and never cease to surprise and delight me 🙌💕💐…..really a prep style for years and years….wonderful! Martha Stewart has been a preppy icon and coastal grandmother for ages…I suspect she will have a comeback now this is happening
Thank you Patricia! Seeing your comments always bring a huge smile to my face 😄🌸 Funnily enough, Martha Stewart has declared that she doesn't think she is a coastal grandmother!!
Coastal Grandmother features alot of white and cream clothing so if I may recommend Mirriam Style's video "Best white for your season" to find the best white for one's skin tone? I love wearing white now 😊
Oooh yes I will definitely watch that! I've gone down a rabbit hole of colour seasons lately and still can't figure out exactlyyyy which one I am lol it's a bit tricky
@@FabSakker Yes agreed ^.^ imo the 4-season system is way better for telling because it's test is simple and definitive (draping a deep blue, bright yellow, warm brown, and cool gray - which one looks best and which one looks worse - boom, you have your answer!) Either you are warm or cool, and either you are bright or muted. :] The larger system makes it too complicated trying to categorize people by their eye color, virgin hair color, and exact skin shades.. hope it helps and ty for responding :]
In Gartner's life is my dream! She stays in the Hamptons all week while Jeffrey goes to the city to work. While he's away, Ina visits farmer's markets and meets up with craft food makers. Then she cooks the food with herbs from her garden before having a luncheon or dinner party in the garden with her gay friends. Sometimes there's a gal pal there. She also picks flowers from the garden to make arrangements for the meal. She is my ultimate coastal grandma.
Loved the video ❤ but I think I will stick to old money outfits as I wouldn't want to look like a grandma regardless of how stylish she might be 😂 the outfits looked great on you though!!
I can’t stand Jack Nicholson, either, I might just FF through the film to see her outfits. I think the elements of this fashion trend are: whites, light neutrals and soft cool pastels; soft, tailoring and a slim relaxed fit; high-quality natural-fiber fabrics and materials; and classic, simple and elegant pieces that are timeless for women of every age. This is home-grown in coastal California where I live and fits our casual, outdoorsy lifestyle really well. I would use restraint, to avoid a “beachy” theme look, so a sea-glass or shell jewelry item, or a straw or bucket hat, or a Breton-striped top, but maybe not all together.
I think your opinion of the movie Somethings Gotta Give can be explained by the fact you are too young to really understand Nancy Meyer movies, and you are not a native Californian. Those of us who are Nancy's age and live either in the LA or the San Francisco Bay area truly believe we are her target audience. It's hard to explain but ask any woman that age and from that locale and she will agree 100%.
In Britain "coastal grandmother" is being obese, on a mobility scooter, smoking 40 a day, screaming abuse at bus drivers and being a grandmother at age 30
I have been obsessed with her clothes and home for years. Now this style has a name.
I AM A COASTAL GRANDMOTHER! Thank god finally someone came up with this aesthetic, love it so very much. And of course, I love your videos
I love that this is an aesthetic now too... the girl who came up with the term must be so proud - she's created an army of coastal grandmothers! 😂
me too!!! grew up this way!
I'm totally a coastal grandmother, living in Charleston with two grandbabies due this year! How fun that this is on trend!!
🎉 Diane Keaton's style
I love the coastal grandmother and old money aesthetic, both totally describe my style very accurately! I'm all about classic and timeless!
After watching this yesterday I went through my wardrobe and found I did have most of these items. Looking forward to wearing this ageless, classy style.
That's what I love about this style - classic basics that most of us have in our wardrobe already! ♥️
I grew up 15 mins away from Carmel by the Sea so I grew up with coastal grandmothers and I'm glad I can finally participate in a trend.
absolutely! sew all my clothes, so this will be what I make going forward!
It seems like a chic kinda look, effortless and elegant!
I've been doing the Coastal Grandmother and Granddaughter look for years! It's casual, comfortable, somewhat preppy and still very classy...
I live in Florida I am a coastal grandmother and all the vibes that are people are going for I've done that for years already so I'm finally in style who would have thunk it
Talbots is soo coastal grandmama! hahahaha and I'm here for it!
TALBOTS! I was going to include them in this video as they make great wicker accessories but couldn’t for the life of me remember the name 😂 Thank you for jogging my memory!
I like this style, cozy and simple.
I love the simplicity of this style too!
I’ve heard that many people ask their kitchen interior designers for the “Somethings Gotta Give Kitchen”.
I feel like food would just... taste better in a Nancy Meyers kitchen 😂
Thank you Fab! I have watched many of your videos and love them all. The coastal Grandmother was simply fabulous and true to my style. You are so amazing!🛍 🇺🇸💞
Thank you very much Jean 💕 I'm so happy that this style suits you so well!! x
I love it! Its very elegant or classy style
Yes, so timeless!

Your videos are the best
Thank you! 😄
I didn't know about this aesthetic, thank you very much for always showing such interesting things on your channel, I´m a Spanish fan
Just watched a few of your other videos and subscribed and then boom! You post right away and about one of my latest obsessions wow!
Oooh we must be on the same wavelength!

Agree with you about the characters in the movie.
there is already a west coast grandmother. the original is frankie in the series with jane fonda. it lasted forever.
I love this style! New summer wardrobe goals.
This is hysterical

@@FabSakker shut up!!! Well she is an odd duck but I would say her aesthetic and lifestyle is
Love your channel ♥️
Thank you!! ♥️💕
Fab, your style videos never fail me! I will definitely be picking up some of these pieces!
I love all of Diane’s outfits going back to the movie Baby Boom
There’s nothing like east coast style
I haven't seen that movie... will have to watch that next!
Goodness, this is West Coast style, too.
So cute! Yes I am definitely going to freshen up my wardrobe with this style! Absolutely adore this!

another great take on style and fashion...and I've finally figure out who you look bit like...Liv Tyler
Oh gosh I will take that comparison any day! Liv Tyler is stunning!
LOVEEE!!!
Which lipstick shade are you wearing? It is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Burberry Full Kisses lipstick in the shade English Rose! x
@@FabSakker Thank you!!
Strangely enough, I pull a male version of this vibe for my casual summer looks.

Ina Gartner not In Gartner

I live on Long Island, NY. I actually see a lot of women dress like this.
Loved the video ❤ but I think I will stick to old money outfits as I wouldn't want to look like a grandma regardless of how stylish she might be 😂 the outfits looked great on you though!!
Haha fair enough! You can never go wrong with the classic old money style 💚
If you’re very lucky, you will be a grandma eventually.
I've just gathered that I'm a modern Sloane Ranger with Coastal Grandmother foundations.
Honeymooned in Carmel
Very nice video. I like nautical vibes and colors.
Don’t feel bad. “Not caring about the characters” is the norm in films these days.
That’s my favorite aesthetic and I‘m only 26 😂 old soul I guess
I’m a Ghostal Grandmother. I’d show you photos, but well, you couldn’t see them.

she gets together with the guy because she becomes less her age and he becomes more his age.
This is not about being a Grandmother. It's a style trend...
Yup. Jack Nicholson gives me the big yuck too.
3:30 That guy has third-rate shirt.
So….Martha Stewart.
Snap,….didn’t like Jack Nicholson …he was too creepy in that film…
All his films.
In Britain "coastal grandmother" is being obese, on a mobility scooter, smoking 40 a day, screaming abuse at bus drivers and being a grandmother at age 30
But Jack finally realizes what's really important in life ....too bad you didn't watch the entire movie. You missed the point.🤦♀️🤷♀️
