Wow man, I stumbled onto the lightweight kit video and I've been binging all your videos. When you mentioned you just moved to NZ, I was gonna recommend you go to Mt Cook National park, but looks like you're ahead of me! I went there just a month ago too, just before the first snow. I love your channel man, your photos are amazing and it's great to find an NZ based photographer. If you haven't already, I highly recommend you summit Mt Ollivier. Theres stunning views from there and it's accessible from the same carpark!

Hey Daniel! Stoked you found your way to the channel! At this point, most people find it by accident haha, but I’m really glad you enjoyed it. Cook is a crazy beautiful area. I’m hooked on Arthur’s pass too. Thanks for all the support, it really means the world to me. Ollivier is on my list and moving up quickly. To be honest, the list has grown to crazy lengths haha

Enjoyed talking with you about your focus on storytelling at the hut! You don’t just talk the talk, your videos have excellent production quality. Can’t wait to see the channel grow :)

Definitely see why you wanted to photograph the hut. Great capture of the experience. Appreciate it.

Hey thanks for coming along! The huts in NZ are always incredibly beautiful. This one being more tucked away in the mountains, and bright red, is the perfect subject. Really appreciate your support 🤙🏻

Yes. A story. Like the great Popsys says: A photo ABOUT something vs. OF something. But now….. How to do that?

Haha he has been my favorite RUclipsr since I started photography (and a while before). What a great point he made.

Beginning music reminiscent of “Stranger Things…” how long did it take to produce this? Appreciate the discussion on what I call the psycho-visual aspect of telling a story vs. being blown away by single pics…

Hey Doug! Thank you for the feedback! Love the connection haha. The whole video took a handful of days to put together including shooting. Glad you like the video!
