Danny great job didn't know tile could be sprayed like that wish you were in my area my friend would love to have her tile done but we are in massachusetts
I had mine reglazed. A year or more ago. Now I have hard water it’s pink in the grout. White walls black tub. What’s the best way to clean it so I don’t harm the tile.
GREAT VIDEO, THANKS. CAN YOU SAY WHAT BONDO YOU USED? I HAVE SOME CHIPS I NEED TO FIX BEFORE I DO THE REGLAZE. ALSO I CANNOT FIND Napco PIRANHA Etch ANYWHERE, CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE I COULD FIND IT?
Wow! Very helpful video, the end result is incredible! My fiancé and I are buying our first home and both bathrooms need a lot of work. I’ll be watching again to get more familiar with the process. If I could give some constructive feedback, I’m a video editor and work with music/voice levels. It’s a tricky balance! Not sure what software you use, but making the fade in and out quite a bit longer for the music and reducing the music track would be a huge help in improving the sound. This will make it less jarring when it transitions from music to narration. When just the music is playing, it can be reduced to the same loudness as the narration/background music mix. This will allow the viewer to play through the entire video without having to turn the volume up and down. Hope this helps! Great content, I look forward to more videos on home improvement!
Great video, I definitely wants to do this. The only criticism I'll offer is that you voice is low on the video so when you turn up the volume and the music comes on it's super loud! Otherwise great video, thanks!
Amazing job. Thank you for sharing. It is amazing what you are able to do. I will be looking forward to your next video until then I am keeping you and your's in my thoughts and prayers please stay safe, take care and God bless!
@@DPTubs nice you lay it on there nice and thick. I do work in Philadelphia, tubs and surrounds come out great for me I’ve just been having a hard time doing full bathrooms, where there is additional tile going all around the bathroom walls. I get too much overspray. I work by sections, to let the overspray clear out but usually my bathtubs and tile come out gritty. Any recommendations? I’ve been masking off the bathtub and spraying all the tile first, tile comes out glossy, and very smooth but once I spray the bathtub it loses some of the gloss and had a gritty feel from the overspray from the bathtub lol
@@phillysfinestrefinishing9019 maybe too much air pressure not enough paint so it’s very thin and atomized more. Also only need to be about 6” from the surface the further you are the more gritty it will get everywhere. Also make sure you sand primer and tack cloth the surface before spraying. Make sure gun & cup are cleaned thoroughly. Use a fume extractor while spraying and each coat should have 10-12 minutes of clearance time in between coats. If it’s losing gloss then you need to give more time in between coats. Too much material too fast causes Blushing during the curing process and will end up dull. Also make sure your ratio from catalyst to base paint is correct. Too much catalyst will cause gritty satin look. What is the weather out there? Make sure the material is mixed really well too
@@DPTubs I use the same spray gun and compressor you do, I used to keep my air pressure at 7 o’clock to keep the overspray low, and my paint/needle knob 3-3and a half, half turns. When I spray I’m probably farther away maybe 8inches from the surface? Do you keep the same distance for paint and primer? I have never sanded down primer nor though about it, what grit sandpaper do you use to sand the primer? Usually my primer coats are light, and I don’t wait too long on primer it’s usually dry to the touch in a minute or two. When doing a bathroom with tile going all around the bathroom would you spray the primer non stop (besides waiting in between coats)as well as the top coat? Right now I’ve been covering up my bathtubs, spraying the tile first with primer and top coat. I get a really smooth finish , wait 10-15 mins to uncover the bathtub and coat the bathtub with primer and top coat but end up with a slight gritty finish on the tile after spraying the tub. I work with a large 12” exhaust fan but still end up with a gritty tub if I don’t cover it and end up with a gritty tile surround if I cover the tub and spray it last. Appreciate you taking the time to help me out! Let me know if there is any way to return the favor!
I spray 3-4 coats / passes. After first coat I wait 10 minutes After second coat I wait 12 minutes After third coat I wait 12 minutes. However it’s beast to check with the product specifications. This helps avoid drips or sags as well as Blushing. I will go over terminology and meanings soon.
I used Zinser 1-2-3 for primer to help neutralize the color and seal the grout, Not really for adhesion. The acid wash for was adhesion. The top coat was Krylon Tub and Tile.
Good work. Nice Job. Just one request. Please reduce music volume. If reduce during music and then unable to hear when you speak I need to increase and decrease it is annoying.
Hey man great video! I guess I’ve been left in the dark ages because I had no idea reglazing was a thing. I’m getting into flipping and rentals and I have a few questions. How much does a job like this normally cost with the tub and shower surround? Is this more cost affective then retiling the shower surround? How long does this reglaze finish last? For ex: if I had a rental flip done like this, would I have to have it redone every year etc? Much love from OKC OKLAHOMA 💙 LIKED & SUBSCRIBED

It’s not completely necessary but will most certainly come out better. The product we use only comes in 2 gallons so try to line a couple up before you go for it because it’s an expensive coating and they shouldn’t be used in partial cans. Not sure who you heard that from but I have seen them last quite a bit. I have also seen different factors affect the longevity of the job. How well someone cleans and takes care of the surface and also how the work was done. It all depends. However, overall if done properly and if cared for properly it will last. Ruins 5 years easily

The white color looks so much nicer. Brightens up the small space. Awesome job as usual!
Great 👍🏾 job….i did this to a rental property. You actually made this look so easy.
How l ong does this last? Durable? Approx cost for this type of job? Just big ballpark if you can? Thanks. Love it.

exactly. what paint, how many coats, where to buy etc
Right. And doesn’t even list when he purchased the product.
And he "likes our comments" but "ignores our comments" and does not answers the questions.
Also if you buffed it out and or sanded between coats
It's such a beautiful, clean and bright white!
It looks perfect when you apply the paint !!!!!!!

Fb marketplace look up glazing
Looks great! Exactly what I need done. Anybody know an approximate cost in NC?
Thanks
How long does a re-glaze last, before starts cracking, peeling, fading? What is the warranty offered?
I give a standard two year workmanship warranty on the product
How well did it hold up after 3 years?
It’s look so beautiful from before to after.
That looks amazing, will never know that it was once blue tile
What would be required to take that tile all the way to the ceiling?
Can this be done with the floors?
Only white?
I need to re caulk all of the seams in my shower, should I remove existing caulk and reglaze then re caulk?
Yes I have a video on it. Search DP Tubs Caulking removal
Will any HVLP sprayer work or does it have to be the Titan.
Wow Danny! That tub & tile looks really nice! I wish mine looked brand new like this!
Great job!

when I sand my tile, it does NOTHING to them in regards to scratching them or scuffing them up.... anyone else experience this?
That’s why the acid etch is important. The avid is what deglosses the tile making it rough enough for yiu to start sanding with 80-100 grit sandpaper.
