Nicely set up. This ended up being the third house I built, since the other two were to dangerous for the wife and kids. Lakeview, I kid you not, I came home one day and found a giant leaning against the corner of the house and my cow and horse was dead. After killing the giant, a dragon landed. After killing the dragon, bandits attacked. After killing the bandits I went inside to discover the wife was kidnapped. I decided that the neighborhood had really gone downhill and it was time to move. Never had a problem at Winstad.
Yes, it's a shame that there wasn't much variety between the houses. I also would have liked the ability to build a house anywhere I want, rather than just in those 3 locations.
No, I didn't cheat. After you complete the Thieves Guild quest called "No Stone Unturned", Vex gives you the "Prowler's Profit" perk. After you get this, all the burial urns in the dungeons contain LOTS of flawless gems.
I wish there was more customization to the homes. Its really static and indifferent. I'd pay another 5$ to: build a home on a mountain, have the homes varied so maybe you could change the color of the shingles or the wood style, and a dwemer home would be cool too. I also wish the dlc made Snow Elves playable.
This wasn't done with any mods was it? Is all this available on the PS3 version? I've been working on Lakeview manor but idk seeing this I like this house

Homes should've had 'boss chests.' The big ones with a rounded top...

Snow Elves don't exist anymore, they are now the Falmer.

As the guy said, there may be small civilisations of snow elves who weren't around for the dwemers deal with the snow elves.
