    Good video. I used the torsos a lot 35 years ago as decoration for buildings. Back then most torsos had no print which proved very useful. Now most have prints which makes them less usable.

    For the arms and legs, you really wanna watch out because if the arm/leg doesn't want to come off, and you keep trying, it may break, and it's even more likely if the parts are somewhat old and you also gotta watch out for some of the weaker types of plastics like older browns, dark red or sand green. Again this almost never happens with newer minifigs but be careful if the minifig is very old and has been assembled without moving for a long time

    • @LionBricks
      @LionBricks  4 года назад +1

      Yes I assume that if something doesn’t want to come out ppl would just leave it in because if you force it, it’s obviously going to cause damage.

    Wow I’ve been living under a rock all my LEGO’s mini figures hands I took off littrly broke there was always a big slit on the hands, and also I think the older mini figure snare a lot fragile so I recommend not opening the body parts

    What about uses for the legs without separating them?
    A hinge maybe? Lots of connections can be made.
    Might be useful for odd angles in situations where clips don’t work?
    Question: Are replaced hands sold from Lego? It seems risky using a delicate easy to lose part that doesn’t seem to be replaceable.

    It is not safe to take off the money figure arms because I tried to take the minifigure arms off and maybe because it was an old figure but I took it off the same way you did and when I tried to the arm broke but it was an old Atlantis minifigure

    so good lionel! I like the where how you showcase on how to remove minifigure parts, the pants itself was something since I tried to remove the legs from the pants before, this video is perfect for people want to be a master builder for those who trying to use minifigure parts in different ways 🙂👍

    Helpful video! Two things to respond to:
    The torso could be useful as a decorative shape for sure if it's a solid color with no clothing or marks painted on it, and maybe a rod could be run through the arm sockets for a swinging mobile part. Or, could be used as a mannequin or bust in a clothing shop or museum moc, and that works with or without te arms attached and regardless of any painted clothes. (or hang from the underside of a long brick like shirts hanging in a closet or on a rack.)
    Also, while the tip on removing the hands is helpful, could you do a quick vid sometime on how to safely get the hands back INTO the arms? I got a minifig last year in the mail and it was in disassembled form with the hands also not put in, and the stem of one of the hands broke off when I tried pushing it in - it was being stubborn and didn't want push fully into position. Now maybe that was due to the fact that it was from a Lego clone and not Lego brand itself, but a vid showing how to re-attach the hands safely and securely would help all the same, because you're fighting air pressure as well as the tightness of the opening when doing so (as opposed to fighting a partial vacuum and the tightness when trying to remove the hands).

      great tips! When putting hands back in I literally just push them back in with ease, I've never had any difficulties. You must have had issues because it wasn't official LEGO. :)

      I've bought many Lego clone figures (they're great for rare parts/colors sometimes) and yeah, sometimes the hands are pretty bad. make sure the arm hole is opened up properly, and see that there isn't any deformities in the mold blocking the hand from going in, and make sure the same on the hand. then, pop a real hand into the fake arm, and the fake hand into a real arm, to kind of break them in and make sure they fit, then, put a bar into the fake hand, and push on that to get it into the fake arm. this should keep the fingers from breaking off. often though, you don't need to be this careful. fake Lego figures seem to be getting better all the time. great for painting or cutting and gluing, 'cause ya don't feel bad about wrecking a real part lol, and you aren't paying 20$ for a rare part, just to end up painting it.
